Chapter 16

Zoya: wh...what are you doing in Najma's house?

Asad: Najma! You know tamatar?

Zoya: tamatar? Sir, you're at wrong place this is Najma's house, not tamatar's

Asad: I meant Najma only! You know her?

Zoya: yes she invited me here!

Asad(shocked): in my bathroom?

Zoya(immediately answered): no! In this party but sir, what are you doing in Najma's house?

Asad: excuse me! It's my home!

Zoya(shocked): you stay with Najma's family?

Asad's kept his hand on forehead hearing her

Asad: she is my sister!

Zoya: WHAT!!!!

Zoya turned around hearing him her eyes went on his bare back, she closed her eyes immediately and again turned around

Zoya thinking, " his back is equally toned. Ya Allah, what am I thinking! "

Asad: by any chance, you are here for Najma's birthday party?

Zoya: ye...yes!

Both were totally shocked by this coincidence

Zoya: you should have locked your bathroom door sir

Asad: excused me! I didn't have a dream that today I will have an encounter with my employee here in my bath...forget it!

Asad immediately said to cover up he actually had forgotten to lock the door because nobody uses his bathroom knowing his cleanliness freak attitude

Zoya: ac...accidentally juice spilled on my face so Najma showed me her room's direction but I think I...

Asad(completed her sentence): messed up again

Zoya just looked down hiding her embarrassment, Asad turned around to face her, he could see her face in the mirror he smirked seeing her face which has turned light shades of pink. He took a step towards her. Zoya looked up hearing the footsteps and saw him nearing from the mirror

Zoya: sir...

Asad came dangerously close to her their body were inches apart, Zoya was very nervous and slightly scared she was looking everywhere excluding him

Zoya: wha...what are you doin...

Before Zoya could complete Asad took another towel from the nearby stand where she was standing and extended it to her

Zoya looked at towel and then at him in confusion

Asad had now again maintained a comfortable distance

Asad: dry your face

That's when Zoya realized her face is still wet, she took a towel from him

Zoya: thanks

Asad just nodded

She immediately wiped her face and kept it back on the stand

Asad looked at her and that towel

Asad: ok

Zoya: yeah all ok

Asad felt like banging his head somewhere composing his emotions he pointed towards the door

Zoya(now she understood what he meant): oh...yeah! I'm going

With that she went towards the door, unknowingly she turned around to give him a last glance and there she saw him folding the towel from which she had wiped her face and keeping it systematically on the stand perfectly in the middle direction

Zoya rolled her eyes seeing it

Zoya thinking, "What an OCD!"

In this, she didn't realize the slight wet floor and lost her balance due to her high heels

Zoya: Ahh!

Asad rushed to her seeing her losing the balance and held her on time, she looked down at ground and then at him, her hand on his bare shoulder and his hands were holding her by her waist for a second both were again lost in each other, Zoya was first to come out of her trance she moved a little breaking Asad's trance as well, he made her stand properly

Asad: are...are you ok!

Zoya: yes

Asad: let's go

Zoya nodded and they moved towards the door

Asad's room:

Two shopping bag came flying from the window and landed on the couch attached down the to Window followed by Ayaan who jumped down the window landing on the couch

Ayaan: god living room is full of people, Bhaijaan's room is always a life saver with that he was above to get down but then fell back on the couch shocked to see Asad and Zoya together coming out of the bathroom and Asad only in his pants

Ayaan: Bhai... Zoya...together in Bhai's room

Ayaan rubbed his eyes not able to digest the sight in front of him

Asad kept his one hand on forehead knowing the tough job he has in hand

Ayaan was looking at them as if he has seen a ghost, Asad immediately opened his wardrobe wearing a t-shirt which he got in his hand

Meanwhile, Zoya thought to explain Ayaan the situation

Zoya: Ayaan main...

Ayaan(still in shock): Kaun Ayaan?

Asad: stop over reacting Ayaan!

Ayaan(finally coming out of the shock): forget over reacting I'm not able to react anything! (standing on the couch) First, you tell me what's happening over here

Asad(sternly): first you get down from the couch!

Zoya gave him the unbelievable look

Zoya thinking, "here Ayaan is misunderstanding the situation but all he is worried about is couch! unbelievable!"

Ayaan: bhai I always knew you had feeli...

Asad interrupted him before he talk something which will leave them in awkward situation

Asad: AYAAN! Get down

With that, he pulled him down from the couch

Asad: how many times I have told you not to use my room's window!

Zoya just looked at them confused as why he interrupted him all of sudden

Ayaan: you have more important explanation to give than this discipline lecture

Ayaan(whispering): bhai how come Zoya is here and why were you semi-naked seriously bathroom? You are too fast then I expected

Zoya extended her ears towards them trying to listen to their conversation but then was of no use

Asad angrily glared at him which shut him up

Ayaan: sorry, but what's all this

Asad sighed at told him everything, Ayaan had to bit his lower lip to subtle his grin

Ayaan: really I should avoid coming from your window since now things have changed (looking at Zoya ) I mean I'm not a kid anymore

Asad: just shut up nothing have changed! Last time you said the same about my cabin but I don't remember you attempting

Ayaan: your cabin is less risky than your bedroom

Asad: Ayaan...

Before he could continue he was interrupted by Najma who had come searching for Zoya along with Humeira

Najma: Zoya di, we were searching you everywhere and you are here

Zoya: ye...yeah mistakenly I ended up here

Ayaan thinking, "by mistake he sahi she ended up in correct place"

Humeira was shocked seeing khan brothers there

Humeira: what is Karan-Arjun doing at your house?

Najma: who is Karan-Arjun? No one as such was there on my guest list

Humeira: I mean AAK and this chimpan...(but stopped looking at Ayaan) I mean they both

Najma(casually): oh they are my brothers

Humeira was shocked hearing her

Humeira: you never said about them!

Najma: kabhi moka he nahi mila, aaj mila hai toh let me introduce you to my brothers

With that, she went and stood between them and hugging them from elbow

Najma: meet my elder brothers Asad bhaijaan and Ayaan bhaijaan

Humeira was shocked to react but then smiled back seeing Asad smiling at her

Najma: bhaijaan she is my best friend Humeira uff Humi

Ayaan thinking, "the new friend she talks about all the time nowadays is this alien, interesting!"

Najma(turning towards Zoya): and that's Zoya di humi's sister

Asad thinking, "when did she became tamatar's di, unbelievable!"

Ayaan: I know her already!

Najma(giving him a suspicious look): you know her

Looking at Najma's look Asad understood she is misunderstanding Zoya as one of Ayaan's girlfriends so he immediately corrected her not even able to think like that

Asad: of course we know her because she is also the head architect of Dilshad construction

Ayaan: yeah right

Najma: oh that's a great news

Soon Wajid came there

Wajid: Najma madam, Rashid sir and Dilshad madam is looking for you

Najma: ammi abbu came! Ok tell them I will be there in 10mins

Wajid: ok

He went from there

Zoya thinking, " Allah Miya! I'm gonna meet my role model finally that too so unexpectedly! I'm so excited

Asad rolled his eyes thinking, "unbelievable!"

With that they went towards the door, Najma turned around halfway

Najma (turning to Asad): Asad bhaijaan are you sure you're not coming? Please bhaijaan join us it will be fun

Najma and a huge smile hearing him, she ran and hugged him tightly

Najma: you're the best bhaijaan

Asad just smiled and kissed her forehead, Zoya just smiled seeing their bond, with that they went from there

Ayaan: ok bhai I will also get ready! Can't miss abbu and Zoya's first encounter

He rushed towards his room

In hall:

All were fully enjoying the party, Tanveer had also arrived and was searching for Najma when she spotted Dilshad talking to someone, she adjusted her hair and went to her

Dilshad: oh hello Tanveer how are you dear!

Tanveer smiled at her

Tanveer turned around smilingly but soon her smile ripped off her face and shock would be understatement for her seeing Najma accompanying Zoya with a girl

Tanveer thinking, "why the heck is she here!"

Dilshad excused herself and went to Najma

Dilshad: finally you're ready now don't disappear again for any touch-up!

Najma giggled and then introduced Humeira and Zoya to Dilshad

Dilshad: finally I met you Humeira Najma talks so much about you that I really wanted to meet you

Both of them smiled at her

Humeira: even I was so excited to meet you aunty

Dilshad: and Zoya beta you were not going to attend the party right? Najma was very upset about it(cupping Zoya's face) but I'm happy you made it

Zoya: actually madam...

Dilshad: madam? Why are you calling me madam dear

"Because she is also the head architect of DC" came Ayaan's voice from behind he came and stood beside Dilshad

Najma: ammi it's my birthday party so isn't it obvious but on a serious note even I was shocked when bhaijaan agreed till yesterday no not yesterday till 2hours before he was not listening to me at all saying, tamatar conference call is very important now you celebrate with your friends after party we all will again celebrate only with our family

Ayaan just smirked hearing them, Zoya was enjoying his teasing session

Asad(hiding his embarrassment): if its such a big deal then I'm going

Najma: no bhaijaan! we were just joking

Dilshad: good that you didn't wear your boring Armani today, my bacha look so handsome in this

Asad: Ammi anything

Dilshad: areey Sacchi you should really give break to that Armani, ask anyone why anyone ask Zoya(turning towards Zoya ) you both meet daily in office right so you say which look suit him more

Both of them looked at each other awkwardly well Zoya cannot deny the fact that he is giving tough competition to greek god but still how can she say it on his face

Zoya:phupi...

"well, Aunty there's no answer for that! He looks dashing in whatever he wears" replied Tanveer who came and stood between Asad and Ayaan much to Ayaan's annoyance
