Chapter 11

Asad: what are you both starring at! Common help us out

This brought Tanveer and Rohan out of the initial shock and they rushed towards them taking the half files and placing it on the table, Asad was relaxed as there won't be any mess and Zoya was relieved finally she can leave from there.

Zoya: I just came to submit this reports...so I...I will leave

She was above to leave when Asad stopped her

Asad: wait! I need to talk to you

Tanveer taking the opportunity and glaring at her

Tanveer(glaring): even I need to talk to you

Zoya thinking, "Allah Miya! They both want to talk with me, where should I run! Oh crap, now I know what she wanted to talk, Zoya be ready this Akdu and this(looking at Tanveer) nevermind there is no word to describe her but they both gonna eat me up for the sure, in enthusiasm, I did all that now I think I should have thought before"

Asad: first Rohan you tell me what problem you talking about some minutes ago?

Rohan had totally forgotten the matter seeing the sight now suddenly remembering it

Rohan: sir actually today we can't mail any quotation to clients, there are no letterheads available in the office

Asad: what! What do you mean by that, where are all the letterheads!

Rohan: sir, all the letterheads has been used, we have to order it again

Asad(angrily): what kind of reason is that! (turning to Tanveer)what do HR has to say about it, it's your responsibility to look after all this stuff, for such a silly reason company work will get affected that's ridiculous!!

Tanveer: I know Asad, but just a day before yesterday only all the accessories was delivered to the office and about letterheads, I had ordered 10 sets of it which can be used more than a month

Asad: day before yesterday means on Saturday and tomorrow it was a weekend than how the hell is that possible today all the letterheads was used

Tanveer: that's what I need to talk to her (turning towards Zoya) Sheena told me that since morning you are the only person who had used all the letterheads is that true?

Zoya nodded her head in approval

Tanveer(angrily also to make Zoya's impression bad): are you nuts!!!! Since morning you had used 10 sets of letterheads! When you will stop being a headache to us

Rohan: but Zoya what kind of work you were doing which required letterheads that to 10 whole sets

Zoya had relaxed hearing Rohan's calm tone

Zoya: Rohan actually Asad sir had told me to make a report of all the last 10 years project DC has handled so reports are usually made in company's letterheads so I used them for that purpose

This was again a shock for Asad he gave that work to teach her a lesson for messing with him but this output was unexpected Asad looked at the piles of files in his table which is of no use to anyone but has been made using all the letterheads available

Tanveer: for that, you could have used the normal paper why letterheads dammit!!!

Asad: stop it now, end this matter here. Zoya did what she was told to do by me and all the important reports are made in letterheads, so she is not the one to blame. Anyways, Tanveer you order some new letterheads

Tanveer: I have already placed an order it will be delivered by tomorrow morning

Asad: good

Rohan: but sir, today we urgently had to mail the quotations to 8 firms or else there are chances that we even lose a deal

Asad: no we won't, just for the delay of one day I don't think they will take such a huge step and even if they does it's their loss we don't have any shortage of projects, only thing I'm worried about is DC is known for its systematic work if the quotation won't reach there in time that systematic title will be affected but we can't do anything about it now, let it be will get lot of chance in future retain it

Zoya could have made it in normal paper since she very well knew the useless work she was doing, but it was necessary to teach his ego filled mind a good lesson but she is Zoya, not Tanveer to be so evil

Zoya: Rohan actually after printing all this reports still some letterheads was remaining I guess 40-50 pages so you can use that if it's enough

Rohan: Zoya it's more than enough!

Asad knew why she did all this but he didn't say anything because, he knew he deserves it but soon after knowing the loss she ended up helping them is she for real!

Zoya: it's in printer, I will get it wait

Rohan: it's in printer only na I will take it don't worry

Zoya nodded with a smile, Asad was little irritated with their interaction

Asad thinking, "how sweetly she is talking to Rohan, she had never talked with me like that forget sweetly while talking to me her expression seems I will shoot her anytime but why am I getting so affected I just want to apologize and I'm done"

Asad: ok so that problem is solved. Now I want to make another announcement, you all have a seat

Asad dialed Ayaan's extension from his cordless and called him to his cabin, soon Ayaan joined them.

Ayaan seeing Zoya

Ayaan: hey Zoya! I was above to meet you(with that he took a seat beside her)

Tanveer was jealous seeing the way Ayaan treats her

Tanveer thinking, "how comfortable Ayaan is with her, on a second thought he is comfortable with every girl but his behaviour towards Zoya is always been different, he never flirts with her he has some different respect for her and also treats her the way he treats some family member. Like he was hell bend in recruiting her like Asad, he was defending her when I and Asad had blamed her for ruining Asad's design. Well, I'm not sure about Asad he seems confused, but there something very dangerous for me going in Ayaan's mind"

Ayaan(handing her mobile): here your mobile you had forgotten it in Bhai's car yesterday

Zoya(taking mobile from him): thank you

Tanveer suddenly blurted out not able to digest the fact that Zoya was in Asad's car yesterday ie on Sunday

Tanveer: what! (covering up) I mean yesterday was Sunday so Asad if there was something important you should have called me, I could have helped you

Asad: I just came to take an important file

Ayaan: it was good that you forgot that file or else Zoya would have been stuck in store room till today morning

That statement made Zoya uncomfortable just the thought of being stuck in the room was giving her goosebumps, now the only thing in her mind was what would have happened if Asad didn't reach in time to save her from that dark room. Asad noticed her sudden change of expression he suddenly diverted the topic

Asad: if you guys done with your useless talk, then lets talk business

But seeing his table full of files was not making him concentrate on anything he called the peon and told him to shift all the files from there

Peon: sir where should I keep all these files?

Asad was going to answer, when he saw Zoya's tensed face she was still thinking about Ayaan's word so he decided to enlighten her mood

Asad: what kind of question is that it's a common sense store room is meant for storing old stuff so obviously all this previous years project file will go in store room

Hearing his words Zoya remembered their yesterday's conversation

Flashback from chapter 9

Asad: there are no old records over there who gave you this Bollywood idea that heroine will always find the old stuff in the storeroom

Asad(with a small laugh): don't tell me u applied same logic!

Zoya: no! I mean yes, it's not some Bollywood logic it's common sense...I mean store room are meant for storing old stuff so I thought I will find the records over there

Asad glanced at her giving her the teasing smirk

Zoya huffed in annoyance by the way he was indirectly teasing her

Zoya(under her breath): Akdu!

Asad was relieved that she was out of that tense mode

Asad: so last week there were lot of mess regarding Delhi project

Zoya thinking, "again Delhi project, Allah Miya! I don't think that project will let me be in peace anytime soon"

Asad: there was a lot of misunderstanding happened, I don't want such occurring in future, so there are some new decisions I'm making which will be followed from now on. Currently, Rohan you collect the design's and report and send it to me or Ayaan for approval checking whether it is completed or not but, the majority of the time you are accompanying me in a conference call or meetings and at that time Tanveer does that job right, but from now onwards Tanveer is not doing that job.

Rohan was happy with the decision as he doesn't have to coordinate with her much. Tanveer was a very much bigger pain in his head. But Tanveer was completely shocked she didn't saw this coming at all

Tanveer(making an innocent face): why Asad? Did I do something wrong

Asad: no Tanveer nothing like that, I want someone very much knowledgeable about architecture to handle this. See you are doing a great job as an HR. You just completely focus on that, you only said since you didn't have much knowledge about architecture you misunderstood Delhi project as normal organization project. I don't want that to happen again

Asad: Zoya from today in the absence of Rohan you will be doing that work

Zoya: ok sir

Zoya agreed but she was totally shocked, this man was not even trusting her some days back and now giving her such a big responsibility. She was having no idea that why she was feeling so good that he preferred her over Tanveer

Tanveer never thought that her plan will not only fail but indirectly backfire also

Ayaan: that's a great idea bhai, since Zoya is an architect thing would get very much easier than before

Tanveer: ok then, I will just go and mail this to all the staffs

Asad nodded in approval and Tanveer went from there as she was not able to control her anger anymore

Asad(looking at Zoya): and...(thinking," common Asad apologize" suddenly turning to Rohan) I had told you to stop the construction work right, call the Delhi branch and tell them to continue with it

Rohan: sir what about the loopholes?

Asad: that's fine it's taken care of(he saw Ayaan grinning at him teasingly so he immediately covered up) abbu thinks the design is perfect so there's nothing to think about it make sure the construction starts again ASAP also inform them I will be visiting the firm soon

Rohan: ok sir, I will call and tell them to start the construction work within 1 hour

With that he left from the cabin

Zoya was very happy hearing Asad's word

Zoya thinking, " his abbu means Rashid Ahmed Khan! Omg, he thinks my design I mean my partial design is perfect, Allah Miya! I'm so happy! But this Akdu showed him the hard copy or the soft copy whatever he liked my design this made my day"

Asad saw her smiling widely thinking something

Asad thinking, "suddenly what made her so happy"

Zoya: he really said that?

Asad(confused): who said what?

Zoya: your father I mean Rashid sir he really said my design is perfect!

Asad: FYI it's our design 50% effort was mine you completed that

Zoya thinking "inka Kuch Nahi ho Sakta"

Zoya: ok, but really Rashid sir thought that it was perfect

Asad: yeah, he liked it

Zoya(smiling till her ear): Allah Miya!

Suddenly she noticed the surrounding where Asad and Ayaan was looking at her

Zoya(composing herself): ahem ahem! Ok then I will continue with my work

With that, she rushed out of the cabin Ayaan looked at Asad who was having question mark expression on his face

Ayaan: Bhai

Asad: ye..yes

Ayaan: bhai if a equals to b and b equals to c than a is equals to c so you don't worry

Asad: Ayaan you...

Ayaan rushed out of the cabin laughing out loud

Asad sat down and had some water

Asad: god! this organization should be renamed has Dilshad Construction Zoo Pvt Ltd, in all this I forgot to apologize to her. Asad continued his work thinking the way to apologize to her

It was around 4 pm Zoya was working in some design when someone called her

person: excuse me ma'am

Zoya looked towards him it was a canteen staff

Zoya: yes?

Canteen person: maam coffee for you

Asad was also present there discussing something to Rohan and time to time secretly glancing Zoya. He was happy seeing the staff

Zoya took the coffee cup there was a smiley ":( sorry" written in it, she had a small smile seeing it. She saw Asad looking at her from the corner of her eyes. She guessed it right

Zoya: who send this? I haven't order

Canteen person: err..maam ..don't know I was told to give it to you

Zoya: ok, you can take it back...Actually, I'm allergic to coffee beans

Asad was dejected seeing the coffee going back, asad was irritated by it,he went to his cabin, Rohan was confused at his behavior the way he went leaving the discussion.

After he went inside she rushed back behind that staff

Zoya(blocking his way): you really don't know who send this tea?

Canteen person: I can't tell you, btw its coffee not tea ma'am

Zoya: really it's coffee! I taught its tea actually I'm allergic to tea

With that, she picked up the cup from the tray and smiled at the person

Zoya: thanks(and went from there)

Zoya again smiled seeing the smiley made in coffee and took a sip

Zoya: this Akdu is really weird

Zoya(shocked): but why? What happened?

Zoya(totally numb): Akram?

Akram(with an evil smile): you guessing it right
