...she looked upto him with tears in her eyes. He was there standing right next to door. He sighed and opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out of it. Zoya looked at him for ths last time before he had walked out of door leaving her barren. ..."asad!" Zoya sat up on bed with sweats on her forehead. She holds the bedsheet tight in to her clutches as she take in her surrounding. Years have past, but she never had forgot anything which occurred back in history. Once she is settled she brings her palm resting it on her face. She spreads it on her face and rest it on forehead. She inhales few breathe before she turns and picks up a glass of water beside her on table to calm her down. She gulps it quickly and shuts her eyes for a while. "ammi!" zoya hears a soft voice and instantly a smile spreads across her face. "yes baby." She smiles. Zoya throws the blanket aside and gets up following her princess voice. "come mere ammi!" The voice echoes again and zoya responds it with quick yes. Zoya comes out of the room and spot her baby sweetheart sitting on floor. She has a drawing book in her hand and crayons scattered all around the living room. "baby what are you doing?" Zoya politely scolds her daughter seeing the mess she has made around. "I have made something ammi." The cute little child points at the painting with a pout. Zoya smiles at her signature action and crouches down to pick up the drawing her daughter is pointing at. She could spot three stick with some black and yellow colour all over them. "let me see it." Zoya brings index finger on her cheek as she thinks. The little 4year old waits excitedly scrunching her nose. Zoya scans through the painting and decides to take a guess. She spots a pink colour on one stick. Then she eyes her daughter , she has worn the same colour frock. "is it you?" She asked wondering. And instantly the little girls eyes shines with sparkles . "Yes" she yells enthusiastically flashing her the brightest smile , showing her adorable dimple. Zoya smiles and sits down taking her daughter on her lap. "thish is shanam. " she points at the little stick in end. " thish is you ammi."she points at the little bigger stick next to her own. Zoya knits her brow together and points at the tallest figure on pitcher. "who's this?" "Abu!" Sanam answered without looking up. Zoya's mouth opened hanging up. This was not something she expected her child to say. Zoya had talked about her father with sanam before, whenever the little child asked about her abu's absence. She had made up a story of him being busy for getting the best present for his little princess. Zoya had never shown her abu's photograph anytime. She always had changed the topic when she asked how he looks like. " baby i already have told about this."she brush her hair and said in a soothing voice. "i know i know, he is too buzy to get the besht prsnt for me. But when will he come?" Hurt evidents her voice and zoya's heart sink. "i am sorry baby. He will come soon. But till then abu had strictly ordered me to always keep his princess happy." She stand picking sanam up on her arm. Sanam rests her head on her shoulder circling her arm and legs around zoya. "but its not fair ammi. Its taking him too long. Ashk him to come back. " she whimpered and complaints. Zoya rocks her body to and fro patting on sanam's back. "he will soon baby. For now he had asked me to take my princess for icecream treat. But since you are crying we will have to postpone it." Zoya acts up all and sanam jumps up and down hearing icecream. "Nooo..i wants ishcream." She jumps and hugs back. Zoya lets out a small laugh gets into her room. She promises sanam to take her for icecream treat after she gets fresh and dress up. Later that morning zoya took her to icecream parlour treating her testbuds with her favourite flavour. Vanilla. Her father's favourite. Zoya looks at her daughter, who is focused in savouring vanilla. Something that Asad liked it. After finishing with the treat zoya dropped sanam to humaira's home. Humaira always have been her saviour. She is her best freind she can rely upon anytime. Zoya wished sanam and humaira bye and left for office. Today is the big day for her and her company. Last few months had been crucial professsional life because of up ad down with company. They were gaining losses with everything. And she started to worry about it, till yesterday. There were talks going around of changing of ownership and today is the day when the new owner will come in light to meet them. She didnt want to leave any bad impression on them. Zoya checked on time she is already running behind time because of her princess icecream treat, she ran in a speed to catch up the event atleast on time. She parked the taxi in the company premises. She pays the driver and rushes madly inside. She could already see people standing to the side of walls eyeing at certain point. She followed their eyes and could see a man tall and well built with his back to her talking to his collegue. She spots her ex boss next to him with his hands folds in respect. Her boss sees her and he nods his head in approval. Zoya flashes him her best smile. She catches her boss whispering something in her new boss ear. The movement of his head says he nodss in agreement on what his ex boss told him. The the moment arrived when he turned to face me. She suddenly couldnt breathe. Everything looked like a joke to her. Its not possible" she yelled mentally. There he is, her new boss , the owner of her company -Asad. A million memories and emotions runs though her mind as she stands there denying the reality. At the same time he lays his eye on her. His eyes holds surprise but soon it gets replaces with anonymous emotions. A small smiles plays on his lips. He looks the same yet different. Its okay. Four years can do that. She didnt even realize when he had covered up the distance and now was standing right in front of her. " mr khan. Meet our brilliant and best staff zoya farooqui. She is really a jewel of our company." Her ex boss complements her. But she is too occupied to react correct she stares with question to them but replies with a soft nod. Asad stretches out his hand to her, "and zoya i am your new boss. Asad ahmed khan." He smiles with different emotions. She feels her body freezed at the spot as she whispers in hardly audible voice. "As..assad..."
