What in the world has happened to the writers???
They missed the opportunity to fully use the nikah ceremony to boost up the Azaad-Mahira connection, instead they made it a spectacle of how black magic made a mockery of their union. Not romantic at all. No Qubool hai from Azaad.
Azaad seats himself, full of self doubt on his worth as a husband, but with honest intent of keeping her safe. From Amaad, from evil, from heartache. He knew he was marrying the love of his life.
But Mahira knows naught. She is full of tension under the veil, wondering who the heck she was marrying after Naser sahab came and confused her. At the moment of vows, Razia casts a spell that makes her ears hurt and ring and she misses the name of the groom and his vows.
Then she sits miserably in the bedroom, fully expecting the slimy Amaad coming to claim his prize. She cries and confesses that she does not consent to this marriage at all, but she was forced to give up her love for Azaad. I love him, and I always will...
And she turns to find Azaad.

Elsewhere, Amaad sidles up to his bride and finds her coy and willing. It takes him by surprise but he accepts easily. She then stands and cosies up to him and swiftly stabs him until he falls flat.
Then she reveals her true face. Jhanjariya, better nknown as Afreen. The woman who came between the two brothers 4 years ago. She was with (married? perhaps) Azaad, and she cheated on him with Amaad.
Meow...
