Chapter 57
"Razia bi...Razia bi!" Asad's voice boomed through the Siddiqui house as he walked in through the main doors. After reading the file and knowing that Razia had been involved in all this, Asad couldn't stop himself from coming here. He knew that Razia always had disliked Zoya and he also knew the reason why. But, he couldn't believe that she would stoop low to bring Tanveer into the picture just to hurt Zoya. Plus, Zoya had left the house after marriage and she never returned. Then, why did Razia bring Tanveer? It could have tarnished their relationship if Zoya and the family wouldn't have found the truth at the right time. Maybe there was something more that he was missing? Asad wondered. He needed and wanted answers, and the only way he could get them was to come here to Siddiqui house by himself. His eyes scanned the empty living room then drifted towards the stairs where Razia came rushing down. "Asad...tum?" Razia said puzzled. Asad felt his hands turn into fist, his nails digging into his own skin. But, he knew that he had to at least pretend to be calm if he was getting any information out of Razia. "Aap Zoya se nafrat karti hai, haina?" he asked. Razia was taken back at his question. "Yeh tum kya bol rahe ho?" Razia said. "Seeda sa ek sawaal hai, uska jawaab deh dijiye," Asad stated, folding his hands across his chest. Razia was so confused. Why was Asad here? And asking her if she hated Zoya? Didn't he already know what she felt about that girl? Or maybe he didn't! It was possible that Zoya hasn't told him the whole story. Is that why he was here? "Dekho Asad, jab tak Zoya meri zindagi mein nahi aayi thi tabh tak sabh theek tha. Phir meri duniya badal gayi, aur ha uss kehliye main usse hi zimedaar maanti hoon. Aur shayad issi liye main Zoya koh na pasand bhi karti hoon," Razia said, trying her best to sugar coat her emotions. Asad could see right through the faade. He felt so stupid at that moment. Ever since Farhan and him have started to investigate who could be involved in coercing Tanveer to come back to Bhopal, he has never considered any of the family members. Yes, even after everything Gaffur and Razia had done with Zoya, he took them as family. Because Zoya still respected and treated them like family for Humaira's sake. And what has his wife received in return? Pain and deceit, he thought angrily.
"Accha? Toh aap issi liye Tanveer koh yaha lekar aayi thi, meri aur Zoya ki zindagi mein," Asad accused. Razia felt the ground beneath her slip. Has she heard him right? "Tina kyun hairan horahi aap...bas saach hi toh bol raha hoon main," he said confidently. "Tum...tum yeh kya bol...rahe...ho Asad...main kyun Tanveer...ko...koh lekar aaungi," Razia stammered, like a deer caught in the headlights. "Aapne agar kuch nahi kiya toh aap dar kyun rahi hai?" he questioned. "Dar? Nahi toh! Main kyun darne lagi," Razia said trying to compose herself. Asad almost smirked. It felt good to see fear flicker in Razia's eyes. "Kyun ki aapne ek bahut hi ghati khel khela tha aur shayad soocha nahi hoga keh aap pakadyi jayengi. Lekin har gunegaar kohi na kohi galti karta tha toh hai," Asad mocked. Razia has bought a prepaid phone to contact Tanveer. She has been smart about not buying the phone in her name. However, the phone was registered in her late mother's name. And, the bank account as well. After investigation, the PI has found that the money which was transferred from Bhopal belonged to Razia's mother which she has left for Razia after her death. And the other account was from the United States, possibly Tanveer's ex-boyfriend who was paying for the child. "Dekho...tum yeh kya bol rahe ho mujhe nahi paata, please yaha se chale jao," Razia told him. "Mere paas saare saboot hai Razia bi, aap jitna bhi chupane ki kosish kare, saach main sabh koh baata kar rahonga," Asad said. "Nahi Asad, Allah keh waste aisa mat karna," the words escaped her mouth before she realized what was happening. "Kyun kiya aapne yeh sabh?" Asad asked. "Aur ha, mujhe sirf saach suna hai," he added. Razia meekly nodded. She knew she had no choice. Razia was afraid that Asad would tell everyone, and the image that she has worked so hard to build will be shattered. And she didn't want Humaira to know. But, one thing didn't make sense. How has he found out? She has been extremely carefully to cover her track. "Mere paas zyada waqt nahi hai," Asad said, pulling her out of her thoughts. Razia just nodded as she started to tell him everything from Haseena telling her about Tanveer and his past, how she has hired men to track Tanveer down, and bribed her with money to come to Bhopal. "Tanveer uss waqt ma banne wali thi lekin jis ladke keh saath woh bhaag kar America gayi thi, usne usse dhoka deh diya. Toh Tanveer keh paas paiso ki aur ek ghar ki bahut zaroorat thi, and maine usse woh diya," Razia stated. "Lekin, mujhe tabh nahi paata tha keh woh sirf mere liye nahi, uske faida kehliye bhi yaha aayi hai," she added. "Tanveer uski pregnancy rakar tume aur Zoya koh alag karna chathi thi, aur phir woh tumare ghar mein Zoya ki jagah bhi chathi thi," Razia said. Asad was feeling sick just hearing all this. He has never seen people that would go to this level to hurt another human being. "Tanveer toh main shayad samaj saktha hoon lekin aapne aisa kyun kiya? Main jaanta hoon keh aap chathe the keh Zoya khabhi iss ghar mein na rahe. Toh shaadi keh baad, woh toh aapke zindagi se door chali gayi thi na? Phir kyun?" Asad asked.
Razia took a moment to contemplate something but then decided to speak the truth anyway. It wasn't like anything was going to change by hiding this fact. "Kyun ki main Zoya koh khush nahi dekh sakthi thi!" she said as Asad looked at her shocked. "Bachpan se aaj tak, main Zoya koh har mauke par takleef diya hai. Aur main usse hamesha takleef dehna chathi thi. Par jab se tum uske zindagi mein aaye hoon, main kosish karke bhi haar gayi. Har bhar tum uske saamne ek deewar bankar kadhe rahe aur issliye mujhe yeh sabh karna paada," Razia explained. "Toh main meri biwi se pyaar karta hoon, usse khush rakta hoon isse bhi aapko takleef hai?" Asad said baffled. "Mere paas meri waja thi yeh sabh karne ki," Razia defended. "Accha? Zoya ne aaj tak aapko jaan bhooj kar khabhi kohi takleef nahi di hai aur phir bhi aap bachpan se usse takleef deh rahi hai. Yeh jaante huwe bhi Zoya aapke shohar ki hi beti hai, aapne hamesha usse takleef di hai. Phir bhi, meri Zoya ne aaj tak khabhi kissi ko kuch nahi bola, na aapke na hi usske baap jissne usse paida hone se phele hi akela chod diya tha," Asad roared. Razia traced her steps back a few feet seeing the fire flash in his eyes. "Mere paas ek aur waja bhi thi," Razia confessed. "Aur kya?" he said frustrated. "Main nahi chathi thi keh Humaira aur Haider ka rishta ho. Agar main tumara aur Zoya ka rishta todh dehti toh Humaira Haider se khabhi nikkah nahi karti," she told her. Asad was even more shocked now. Not only was this lady trying to ruin his innocent Zoya's life but also the life of her own daughter. How can anyone be so cruel? Especially a mother? "Sharam aati hai mujhe Razia bi. Aap jaisi ek ma hone se toh accha hai keh ek baccha anaad rahe!" Asad said disgustedly. He felt sick even seeing the sight of Razia. As he turned on his heel to leave, "ek minute...tum yeh sabh kisiko baataoge toh nahi na?" Razia asked. "Main aapko mere parivaar se door rakne kehliye kuch bhi karunga, aur iss kehliye mujhe sabh koh saach baatana paade toh main ek minute kehliye bhi peeche nahi aatunga," Asad said as he stormed out of the house. Razia closed her eyes in fear, pain, and shame. In the moment of weakness, she has truthfully confessed everything to Asad. "Ya Allah, agar Asad ne sabh koh yeh saach baata diya toh?" she thought. "Accha haina, joh tum karna chathi thi woh ho jaayenge woh bhi tumare bina kuch kare," her mind said happily. "Lekin Humaira?" her heart wondered. "Tume kab se tumari beti ki fikar hone lagi Razia, tum toh sirf apne baare mein soocho, apni khushi keh baare mein soocho joh hamesha Zoya koh takleef dehne se tume milti hai," her brain taunted. Not knowing what she wanted anymore, Razia ran up the stairs to the confines of her room.
Asad was zooming through the streets of Bhopal. All his anger, his frustration, everything seemed to channel through in his driving. He couldn't believe that these people were supposed to be his family? The ones he was supposed to trust in times of need? As he pulled into the mansion, Asad told the security to park the car. He rushed inside the house to tell Zoya what he has just found out. Asad ran inside but his feet suddenly stopped. The living room was filled with the khan ladies along with relatives and friends that have already arrived for the wedding. That is when Asad realized that Haider and Humaira's wedding was 5 days away. What was he going to do? How will he tell everyone? His eyes drifted to his beautiful wife who was sitting on the floor laughing about something. Asad felt his heart constrict with the thought that telling her the truth will wipe that smile off her face. How was he going to tell her? How was he going to tell her that the past she desired to put behind them might probably never leave? It will probably haunt them for the rest of their lives. Confused, Asad ran a hand through his hair. When he felt his wife's eyes on him, he composed himself and tried to smile. Zoya was sitting and talking with Zeenat and others who have arrived from Mangalpur. But, when she felt him near her, Zoya turned towards the door. She could tell that he was tensed. Zoya raised her eyebrows asking him what's wrong. All she got from her husband was a negative nod and he walked up the stairs without even greeting the guests. Zoya was worried. She noticed that no one has even seen him come in. Zoya excused herself and left for their room. As she near the door, Zoya could hear glass splattering from inside. She was shocked. Asad hadn't done something like this for more than a year now. Then what happened today? What was he so angry about? She wondered. Zoya quickly strode towards the door and opened it. She saw him sitting on the bed, his head buried in his hands. Zoya slowly walked inside and saw the different items that have been broken. She reached her husband and placed a hand on his shoulder. Asad looked up and Zoya was shocked to see his blood shot eyes. Was he crying? She thought. "Asad, kya hua hai? Yeh sabh?" Zoya asked him. He just sprung up and pulled her in his arms, in a soul crushing hug. Zoya was surprised at Asad's actions. What was going on? "Asad," she called out but all he did was embrace her tighter. God knows how long they stayed in each other's arms.
When they broke apart, Zoya placed her hand on his cheek. "Asad, what's wrong? Tum mujhe dara rahe ho," she said concerned. "I am fine," he told her. "Aap theek nahi hai! Agar kohi theek hota toh aise nahi karta," she accused looking at him then around the room. Asad closed his eyes trying to calm himself. He opened them after a few seconds and looked at her, "Main theek hoon Zoya, I was just upset about something," he said. "Kya baat hai?" Zoya asked. "Kuch nahi, bas ek client keh saath jagda hogaya," he lied. Zoya didn't believe that even for a moment. "Client kehliye aap itna paareshaan horaha the, Asad kya hua hai?" she said. "Saach mein main theek hoon, main fresh hokar aata hoon, khana laaga doh please," Asad said. Before Zoya could respond, he placed a kiss on her forehead and walked away. Zoya felt like something was wrong. She could tell from Asad's face that something was bothering him. Why wouldn't he tell me? She wondered. Maybe he just needed some time. She closed her eyes and silently prayed to her Allah miyan that he fixes whatever was making her husband so angry. They have gotten their lives back to normal after so long, she didn't want anything bad to happen now. Later, Zoya went downstairs and told Usman to clean up their room. She then warmed up some food for her husband. Asad came downstairs and met with the family that had just arrived and then headed towards the dining room. He pushed each bite of food down his throat just so Zoya couldn't get more suspicious than she already was. Asad knew that lying to Zoya was a terrible mistake. But, he didn't know what else to do. He has never been so confused in his life. Telling Zoya meant taking away her happiness, the beautiful dimpled smile off of her face. And not telling her meant that he was lying to her which will hurt her. Not only Zoya, he had to think about Haider and Humaira too. They both have suffered because of Tanveer as well. What was he supposed to do? "Kuch aur chahiye Asad?" Zoya asked sitting next to him. "Nahi, bas mere hogaya," he told her, picking up the plate and left. Zoya sat there looking at the path that her husband had just disappeared on.
Zoya was trying very hard to be patient with her husband. She was hoping that Asad would eventually tell her what was wrong. But that didn't happen. Almost two whole days have passed and he had kept mum about the situation. One evening, she was sitting on the bed when Asad returned from work. He smiled at her, at least tried to and was about to walk into the changing closet when she stopped him. "Mujhe tumse baat karni hai Asad," she told him. "Ha Zoya, bolo," Asad probed. "Can we sit?" she asked and he nodded. After taking a seat on the bed, "Asad, main jaanti hoon keh tume kohi baat pareshaan karahi hai. Aur mujhe woh jaan na hai. Mujhe please yeh mat kehna keh yeh sabh sirf kaam ki tension hai. As much as I believe you, I know you are lying. Pichle doh dino se aap pareshaan hai, mujhe jaana hai kyun. Please Mr. Khan, mujhe baatayiye," Zoya pleaded as tears rolled down her cheeks. Asad felt his heart twist in a squeezing pain. He cupped her face and wiped off the tears. "Please Zoya, don't cry," he said. "Phir baatayiye na, main aapko aise nahi dekh sakthi," she said painfully. Asad knew he had to tell her. He could see that she could read him like an open book, and not telling her the truth was causing her may be just as much pain that she would be in if she came to know. Asad sighed and turned towards his wife. "Theek hai, main tume sabh baataunga. Par tume mujhse vaada karna hoga keh tum kissi bhi cheez kehliye apne aapko blame nahi karogi," he said. Zoya looked at him confused. This involved her? "Promise me?" he repeated. Zoya bobbed her head, "I promise," she said. "Zoya, main jaanta hoon keh Tanveer koh yaha kyon laaya tha," he quietly confessed. Zoya was stunned. After a minute, "aap abhi bhi uss insaan koh doond rahe the?" she spoke up. "Yeh jaante huwe keh there is someone out there who wants to harm you, I couldn't just sit here and not do anything," Asad explained. Zoya was just taking it all in, in silence. Asad then went onto explain how Farhan and him had hired a private investigator, and after many setbacks he had found out that Razia was the one who sent Tanveer here. Zoya tried to gulp the lump that seemed to form in her throat. "Kyun?" she managed to say, containing the tears that were forming in her orbs. "Kyun ki woh tume khush nahi dekh sakthi. Aur hume alag karke, yeh hojata. Aur woh Haider aur Humaira ki shaadi bhi thod na chathi thi," Asad said sadly. Zoya couldn't believe what she was hearing. So, Razia did all this so she could hurt her. "Woh aise kaise karsakthi hai Asad, maine aakir unka kya bigada hai? Hamesha unse door rehne ki kosish ki hai, phir bhi woh itni giri huwi harkat," she cried. Asad knew that she was going to be hurt. And, that is exactly why he had tried to hide it. He had no words to console her today. Asad moved closed and pulled her against his chest. Zoya started to cry harder. Though Razia had ill-treated her since she was a kid, Zoya always at least respected her as she was older. But today, Razia has lost the small amount of respect she had, at least from Zoya. Asad closed his eyes trying hard not to cry. He had to be strong for her. She needed him, he constantly reminded himself. "Zoya please, it's not worth it! Unn logo kehliye joh tumare aansoo keh layak bhi nahi hai, unn par aapne aansoo waste mat karo. Main jaanta hoon keh yeh sabh bahut mushkil hai lekin main hoon na. Aur phir tumne hi toh bola tha keh hum pichli sabh baatein bhul jayenge," he told her. Seeing her in so much pain, Asad cursed himself. Maybe he should have let things go. He should have never persuaded to find out who the person was. "Kuch...ku...kuch baatein...bhul...na, bahut...mush...mushkil hota hai Asad," she said in between her sobs. "I know, lekin hum kosish toh karsakthe haina?" he asked her. As Zoya was about to say something, the room door opened, "Zoya...tum," Zeenat stopped herself seeing Asad and Zoya together. "Oh, I am so sorry! Mujhe nahi paata tha keh Asad, tum wapaas aagaye?" she said confused. Asad and Zoya broke apart, and Zoya turned away to wipe her tears away. "Hi Zeenat," Asad said as he stood up from the bed. "Asad, kuch hafte phele shaadi meri huwi hai aur romance tum dono ka chal raha hai, huh?" Zeenat teased. Asad just shook his head. "Main toh bas Zoya toh dinner kehliye neeche bhulane aayi thi, tum bhi aajao," Zeenat said and left.
Asad turned to Zoya trying to get up from the bed. She stumbled back and he ran up to her, catching her in his arms. "Zoya," he called out shocked. "Main theek hoon," she whispered. "Tum baito," he said, making her sit on the bed again. Asad quickly poured her a glass of water, and helped her drink some. After gulping the liquid, she looked up at him, "hum kisiko kuch nahi bolenge," Zoya stated. Asad shook his head, "nahi...hume yeh baat sabh koh baata dehni chahiye. Akir Tanveer ki wajase ghar mein sabh koh takleef huwi hai," he said. "Nahi Asad, aap samajne ki kosish kijiye, kal mehendi hai, phir haldi aur uske keh baad nikkah hai Haider aur Humaira ka. Ghar mein sabh kitne khush hai, iss waqt agar hum kuch bhi bolenge toh saara mahul karaab hojayega. Main nahi chathi keh Humi uske shaadi par dhuki ho," Zoya explained. He couldn't believe her! Even after everything that had happened, she was thinking about everyone else above her. Seeing him silent, "Asad, joh bhi hua hai uss mein Haider aur Humi ki kya galati hai. Already, Tanveer ki wajase se unn dono koh bhi toh alag hona paada. Hum nikkah keh baad ghar walon koh sabh kuch saach baata denge," she requested. "Aur tume lagtha hai tabh tak hume Razia bi koh aise hi chod dehna chahiye?" he questioned upset. "Unne Allah miyan unki saaza denge Asad. Aap unka saach sabh koh baata sakthe hai par saaza dehna haq hume nahi hai," Zoya said as tears filled her eyes again. "Zoya, please! Theek hai, agar tum Razia bi koh teen din dehna chathi ho toh diya, par uske baad toh main unne tumare saye se bhi door rakonga," Asad said determined. She just wrapped her arms around his waist and placed her head on his chest. Zoya closed her eyes, praying to Allah to give her strength to go through these three days. She had to do this, for the family and for Humaira. Humaira has always been there for her, no matter what. She was her sister. And for Humi, she would do anything. They broke apart. "Tum yehi baito, main tumare liye khana laata hoon," Asad suggested. "Nahi Asad, main theek hoon. Sabh waise bhi humara intezaar karahe honge, chalo," Zoya said. Asad also thought that maybe being with everyone will make Zoya feel better. So, he agreed and took his wife downstairs. At the dinner table, Asad's eyes never left his wife's. He knew that Zoya was trying hard to put a smile on her face and act normally for the family. But, she was breaking inside. He was worried about her health. She has been through a lot since pregnancy with her health. And now with the twins growing, smallest of things made her anxious and weak. "Allah, mujhe nahi paata keh teen dino baad kya hone wala hai, lekin please Zoya koh sahi saalamat rakna," he prayed.
The next day, the mehendi preparations were on in full swing. Khan villa was decorated with yellow and golden lights on the outside while the insides were filled with diyas, yellow and green cloths, as well as yellow flowers. The whole family was running from here to there to get things done as guests should be arriving soon. Nikhat and Zoya were on strict instructions from Dilshad that they weren't supposed to do any work. They both were to sit on the couch and supervise. Nikhat was telling Zoya about the preparations but she was in her own world. Nikhat's hand on her shoulder broke her thoughts. "Zoya, kaha kohi huwi ho? Sabh theek haina?" Nikhat asked. This was so unlike Zoya! Yesterday, she was making all these plans and deciding on things. And today, Zoya seemed so lost and quiet. Zoya plastered a smile on her face, "Of course Bhabhi, sabh theek hai. Aaj toh hume double maaza haina, meri behen aur mere Bhai raise dear ki mehendi hai toh sabh bahut accha hai," she said, in her usual chirpy voice. Nikhat smiled. "Tum kuch logi?" she asked. "Nahi Bhabhi, main theek hoon," Zoya said. "Accha, mujhe toh bahut bhook lagi hai. Main kuch lekar aati hoon," Nikhat told her. Zoya nodded, "Bhabhi, main bhi upar jaakar kapde change karleti hoon," she informed. "Ha, main bhi khana lekar phir change karleti hoon," Nikhat said and left to the kitchen. Zoya stood up and her eyes met with her husband's. He motioned his head asking her if she was alright. She just bobbed and left to get dressed.
A bit later, Asad stood in front of the mirror wearing a black sherwani with mehendi green borders along with a mehendi green pajama. He had finished checking the arrangements and came upstairs to see that his wife was in the changing room. "Zoya, chalo yaar. Time horaha hai," he called out. "Aayi Asad," she replied. He heard the door open as he was fixing his hair, "Zoya, kitni dher hogayi tum...," the words seemed to halt when she came into view. She looked breathtakingly beautiful. She was clad in a mehendi green sari with a black border filled with gold zari work. Her hair was cascading down her back with their natural straightness, and she has added some matching earrings and bangles. Zoya felt her cheeks turn pink with her husband staring at her like that. "Woh Asad yeh dori," she said. Without breaking eye contact, he walked towards her. He came behind Zoya and moved her hair to the side. She closed her eyes as his fingers traced her back. Zoya felt her heart palpitate. He tied the dori, moved down and placed a kiss on the corner of her cheek near her earlobe. "Aaj tum bahut hi khoobsurat lagrahi ho," he whispered. She smiled hearing his words. Zoya turned to face him. "Aur aabh hum late nahi horaha hai?" she teased. "Apni biwi keh saath romance karne kehliye toh hamesha time hai mere pas," he told her. She giggled like she always did when he recited these filmy lines. "Aree...hass kyun rahi ho?" Asad asked. "Kuch nahi. Aapko paata hai mujhe humari mehendi ki yaad aarahi hai, bas uss din mein aur aaj mein bahut farak hai," Zoya replied. "Farak?" he said confused. "Ha, uss time aap bahut akdu the aur aaj dekhiye aap filmy dialogues bol rahe hai, toh hua na farak," she told him. Asad chuckled. "Woh toh bas tumse pyaar hogaya toh sabh badal gaya," he said lovingly. She grinned, "I love you!" Zoya said moving closer and pecking her lips. "I love you three too," he told her, nuzzling her nose with his. Her smile increased in size listening to him. "Accha Zoya, chalo! Sabh wait karahe honge na," Asad said. "Ha, chaliye," Zoya said as they left the room together.
For that whole moment, Zoya had forgotten that Razia would also be downstairs. Reality seemed so far, yet right in front of her face. Asad was helping her down the stairs when he felt her go stiff. He saw her looking at someone and his eyes followed hers to the living room where the Siddiqui family and relatives have just entered. "Zoya, kya tum yeh karpaogi?" he asked concerned. She kept staring at Razia but then she saw Humaira hugging Dilshad with a smile. "Karna hi padega Asad," she told him. "Unse door raho! Kuch bolne ki ya sunne ki kohi zaroorat hai," Asad said. Zoya just nodded and they continued to descend the steps. Seeing Zoya, Humaira ran up to her to pull her into an embrace. "Bhaji...I am so happy today," she declared. Zoya smiled at her sister, "main bhi tumare liye behaad khush hoon, Allah kissi ki nazar na lage. Bahut pyaari lagrahi ho," she said cupping Humaira's face. "Bhaji, khoobsurat toh aaj aap lagrahi hai. I am sure Bhaijaan ne aapko yeh already baata diya hai," Humaira teased. "Shut up Humi! Aaj tumari mehendi hai, sirf dulhan ki taara sharmao aur phir kuch nahi," Zoya said. "Ok baba, theek hai," Humaira replied cheekily. "Accha, chalo," Zoya said as she took Humaira to her seat where everyone was waiting for the bride. Dilshad started the henna design then the mehendi ladies took over. Zoya stirred clear of Razia at any cost. She didn't know what she will do if she comes any closer to the lady who tried to ruin her life. Being in the same room was hard enough. Razia, on the other hand, was puzzled. She has been terrified to come here since Asad had found out everything. She was scared that he will confess to the family. But, the fact that nothing has happened in the past 2 days ago made her feel a little better. Maybe he wasn't going to say anything after all. Maybe she was safe? But, after coming here and seeing how Zoya was reacting to her presence, Razia knew that Asad had told Zoya. Then, why hasn't Zoya said anything to anyone? Did she really care that much for Humaira that she would withheld the truth? Was anyone that nice in today's day and age? Razia wondered.
Asad kept noticing how uncomfortable Zoya was the whole evening. Though she was sitting to get her hands adorned with henna, Zoya didn't seem happy as she usually did. He didn't know what to do. She has told him not to tell everyone but seeing her like this, he was questioning his own decision. Soon, the party started and Najma was the first to perform along with Haider and Nikhat. Zoya tried to smile and cheer for them as she had promised. Then, all the cousins have performed, pulling Haider and Humaira up at the end to dance as well. As everyone thought the dances were done, Najma came forward to make an announcement. "Suniye...suniye suniye...aap logo ne saare performances toh dekh liye lekin aaj ka ek bahut special performance hai. Aur woh hai meri pyaari Bhabhi I mean Zoya Bhabhi kehliye," Najma said. Zoya looked at her surprised. For her? "So...lights...and action!" Najma said excitedly. The lights dimmed and a spot light was placed in the middle of the room. The next moment, Zoya felt her heart stop and her jaw almost reached the floor. There he stood! Her husband was in the spotlight with his famous smirk plastered on his face. The next second, Zoya was more shocked. The music turned on and he started to dance. This has to be a dream! Her husband was not dancing, she thought. "Zoya...saach hai sapna nahi hai," Nikhat whispered to her, making Zoya giggle. As the performance was coming to its end, Asad came up to her. Pulling her with him, he suggested for her to dance with him. Zoya grinned! She just wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling him in a hug. Asad smiled, thank Allah, he thought. "Performance kaisa tha?" he asked. "Mr. Khan, aapne mere liye dance kiya? I can't believe it," Zoya said happily. The cheer and applause from everyone made them realize where they were, and they quickly broke apart. "Thank you Asad," Zoya said smilingly. "OMG Bhai...that was awesome! Mujhe toh aabh bhi lagraha hai keh main kohi sapne mein hoon," Najma teased. Asad turned red hearing his sister. "Maan na padega Zoya, mujhe nahi lagtha keh tumse alava Asad se yeh kohi bhi kara saktha tha," Nikhat said. "Maine kya kiya Bhabhi?" Zoya asked. "Aree, uss din tumne hi toh bola keh agar tum dance nahi karogi toh Asad koh karna hoga," Nikhat reminded. "Ha, lekin maine toh woh aise hi bol diya tha," Zoya said. "What? Aur main paata nahi uss baat koh lekar, kabh se practice karaha hoon," Asad said, acting hurt. Zoya chuckled at her husband. "Ek baata baatayiye, aapne dance kabh seeka?" she asked. Before Asad could reply, Najma intervened, "main bolti hoon Bhabhi," she said excitedly. Najma went on to tell everyone how Asad had asked Najma and Haider a couple weeks ago to help him plan a surprise for Zoya. He wanted to perform for her. Najma and Haider were amazed! But, agreed for Zoya's happiness. They have helped prepare the performance by practicing at nights secretly. Zoya looked at her husband teasingly as Asad just smiled at her. When he had found out the truth, Asad had given up the thought of dancing. There was so much going on. But today, Asad wanted to do something to make her forget Razia's presence and enjoy the wedding. So, he decided to surprise his wife. Zoya was so touched that Asad has gone through so much trouble for her. Once again, she knew that she had the best husband in the world.
The whole family smiled and blessed the couple. Dilshad walked up to Asad and Zoya and warded off the evil eye. As the family was talking and smiling at Asad Zoya, someone interrupted, "aree police? Yeh log yaha kya karahe hai?" someone asked. Everything stopped! All eyes turned towards the door with the inspector and a few other officers. Zoya looked at Asad, and he nodded his head telling her he didn't know. Asad walked up to the officers followed by the family. "Yes officer?" he asked. "Hello Mr. Khan, and we are sorry keh hum bina baataye aise aagaye. Lekin kaam zaroori tha," the inspector informed. "Kya kaam?" Asad questioned. "Hume paata chal gaya hai keh Tanveer koh yaha kyon lekar aaya tha, aur hum usse arrest karne aaye hai," the inspector said. "Arrest karne aaye hai? Yaha?" Rashid said. "Jee, hum yaha Mrs. Razia Siddiqui koh arrest karne aaye hai," the officer said. Everyone looked on stunned while Asad, Zoya, and Farhan were confused as to how the police knew. "Chaliye Mrs. Siddiqui," the woman inspector said. "Kya? Main kyun jaungi? Suniye-ji...aap kyun kuch bol nahi rahe hai. Allah keh waaste kuch kahi na," Razia yelled to Gaffur. He didn't even react! Gaffur couldn't believe that Razia had bought Tanveer into Asad and Zoya's lives. He has seen how devastated Zoya had been when Tanveer had pulled out the being pregnant with Asad's child stunt. Razia had bought Tanveer and played such a cheap game to hurt Zoya, he thought sadly. "Inspector...ek minute! Aapko kaise paata keh yeh sabh Razia bi ne kiya hai?" Asad asked. "Aur aapko yaha bhulaya kisne?" Zoya said. "Mrs. Khan...woh...," the inspector spoke but was interrupted. "Maine!" someone said. The whole family turned to see who the person was and they stood there shaken.
So who else knows what Razia did other than Asad, Zoya, and Farhan? Who called the police? How will the truth change the relationships of the Khan and Siddiqui households? Keep reading to find out!
