perhaps aahil's character could have taken a different turn

Perhaps he couldn't have been among those men who think a woman loses her 'izzat' if she has sex before marriage..he specially shouldn't be among these men, given how many relationships he had before marriage.Does he think he harmed those women's izzat (like he believes saif harmed nazia's)?
If he as an adult has the right to be in as many relationships as he wants before marriage then why does nazia not have that right?...one could argue that he is being a typical protective brother but all his dialogues involved the word 'izzat'...not even specifically nazia's izzat, so it could well be the izzat of the nawab household. If he was truly protective would he not think about nazia's FEELINGS and not merely her/their izzat? Would he not ask her what she wants? SHOULD he not ask her what she wants?
Now we know saif is a gold digger but aahil does not...does he? So keeping this in mind isn't he being unfair to both saif and nazia?
Yes none of the women aahil slept with got pregnant(at least something like this has not been revealed yet) and nazia did get pregnant...even if nazia tells aahil that they did not take any protection, is forcing them to get married the right solution? Can they not show that he gave her the space to make her own decisions..I always thought asad was annoyingly dominating too and I so wanted nazma to speak up! Nazia has no speaking up to do because she is happy with the prospect of maarying saif...but aahil does not know that, does he? I didn not see the whole scene, did they show aahil noticing the smile on nazia's face, did they show him asking her what she wants?

Is all of this way too unrealistic an expectation from a big brother?

Hmm.
Actually when Aahil was beating Saif up, and after being done with it, I mean when Sanam 2 stopped him saying all that izzat and rishta. He stopped and then Nazia from behind told him "Mujhe ye rishta manzoor hai Bhaijaan" but Saif said "Par mujhe qubool nahi hai" Coz he was in mohabbat with Sanam 2 and wants to marry her.

Aahil was again angry and Saif told that his Aapa is not here so he can't do sagai today. As they - Aahil and Sanam 2 were going out tomorrow.

Later when engagement was taking place Nazia apologised to Aahil to break his trust and all. And he said her happiness matters the most for him and if she is happy with it, he too is.

my fault...I keep switching the channels, don't see whole scenes and episodes and write long posts here 😆
I missed nazia expressly stating that she is happy with the marriage, even missed aahil saying that her happiness matters to him...he is still being unfair to saif imo, he did not give them the space to make their own decisions and he seems to believe a woman's izzat is harmed if she has consensual sex before marriage but at least nazia's happiness matters, shows that he won't force anything on her

Yeah he beat him up a little bit earlier when witch stopped him midway.

But yes, the bro-sis part was really nice. The fact that he trusts his sister and din't question her - I felt that spoke a lot! 😳

Well i think that it was a normal reactions which any brother will have after getting to know any such thing about his sister. Regarding aahils previous relations it was told that every girl he slept with knew that they had no future together and it was just a one night stand. So in this case you cannot entirely blame aahil. Regarding nazia she was someone who was shown to be full of tehzeeb and this was not expected from her from aahils point of view. If it would have been shazia he would have had a same reactions as no brother will act normally on such a situation. And brother itself means a man who is really overprotective about his sister. So we cannot entirely blame aahil for thd was he reacted

I am not blaming aahil and saying anything like 'he used, misled and cheated' on those women...I am criticizing him for his izzat sentences, it's not even about only nazia, his sister but about all those women in his past, even about every woman who chooses to maintain physical relationships before marriage...if a man's izzat is not affected when he has consensual sex then why is a woman's ?
Perhaps most men/brothers will react the way ahil did but I am unrealistic/positive enough to think that there might be brothers out there who are more modern, broadminded than this...that is being modern in true sense imo. That is why I said that perhaps ahil's character could have taken a different turn than other brothers on Indian television.
