And they cater to the niche audience thats why they get an end soon... I hv really liked some of the shows sony has produced ...involved strong headed independent women but ratings were not good... Jassi initially, raginni khanna's funny show about soul swapping ... Mahi way... And a recent 24 ... I wish shows like this are frequently produced

Check out that movie if you ever get a chance! Worth it! :) I love SB, she has always been one of my all time favorites since "While You Were Sleeping!" and "Miss Congeniality!".

To be honest I think Sanaya even more than SJ would suit a role like that very well! :)

SB is a cutie pie,,,, though initially i thought shes too manly but she grew on me with time,,,, i loved her in the lakehousemy most fav of hers... I hv a thing fr romance 😳 but oyher 3 r really good

^^ Micshy, I watched Bhaskar Bharti. it's one of the reasons why I was looking forward to DWTD, other than Suku and the fact that it's based on the book. It's urban rom com with the girl seen in a professional setting, and, tying back to BB, I remember still remember how well Aamir Ali fit and had no doubt he would fit for this show as well.

Jassi was before my time of serial watching, but I remember how popular it was back then--those was Sony's heydays.

That would have been so amazing! She could have played a successful businesswoman and the hero could have been an officer or agent given a case where her aid is needed or she herself is the prime suspect! So many interesting possibilities! Also seeing her in business or business casual would have been a refreshing change! There are so many different outfits and styles that could have tried on her as well! But like you said, such roles are rarely written for the female leads.

I think we've seen enough of innocent, bubbly & immature... Too much more and it'll just become annoying!

I loved how Sanam was mature. It was a nice change from Zoya (don't get me wrong, I liked Zoya. But sometimes she was too OTT... Seher too.)

Historical Character (because I want her to try something different)

Tomboy (I want her to play a tomboy so badly!)

Grey heroine with a revenge motive (That would be really interesting)

Modern character of a youth show (I think I'd like to see her as college-going girl)

Total negative character (I really want to see her bring out her inner Tanveer!)

I really don't want SJ to play a bechari bahu! I like seeing her portray girls like Sanam, and now Jannat. They're bahus, but not typical, always-crying, bechari type of bahus. So, a bahu, but not a typical bahu.

I can't watch SH 4m Oct-Nov as some of my star channels r cut😭. My mom too loved dat show. Vidushi was really a bitch but she had a wulnerable side of married n divorced too early. Sanyukta too was a grey character in comparison to saas-bahu heroines. Roshni was very much grey character n she did things which no typical heroine will think of doing. I forgot to put Gauri's name in negative character's bracket. Wat abt SJ playing negative character like Gauri?😆
