CHAPTER 4 Rooted in his being

Asad is in gym room

He is trying to concentrate on his exercise but all he can see is the reflection of miss farooqui everywhere. Frustrated he starts to hit the punching bag more fiercely and with that her laughter started to echo in the room. Trying hard to get her out of his mind, he screamed as loud as a lion would roar in anxiousness. He could not concentrate anymore. Dejected, he slipped on the floor breathlessly running his hands several times in his silky hair.

After several hours of lying on the floor of the gym, defeated, he decided to go home for a long swim as nothing is helping right now. As asad was driving still in thoughts of a certain miss farooqui, he saw an old beggar selling red roses. He halted to look lovingly at the flowers and shockingly this was bringing him a certain peace of mind. "Roses bringing calmness to Asad Ahmed khan...that's new." Smilingly he closed his eyes and inhale the fresh perfume of the red roses...

"So who's the lucky girl you have fallen for?" asked the old man smilingly
Shocked by the question, asad asked "how can you relate me to a girl. Do you even know who I am. Asad ahmed khan and I have never fallen for a girl. In fact girls die for my attention."

"I am a very old man beta. I have seen many ups and downs of feeling in life. Very less people are lucky enough to get their love reciprocated. If you succeed in it, you'll feel being the most happy man in the world. Trust me. Don't resist it. Just go with the flow...may allah guide you to follow what your heart desires."

Asad kept thinking of the old man's words. They did make sense. how would life be if zoya would be in it. Smiling, he bought a huge bouquet of dark red flowers. On the way, his mind wandered in his future.

Zoya opening the door when he would return at home... smiling...kissing him...talking animatedly...feeding him with her hands...hugging him to sleep every night. He would never be alone again and life would not be monotonous anymore. He was tired of coming to a lonely house everyday with no one waiting and caring for him...Asad lost his parents in his late twenties in a car crash. His father had left him everything he owned, including a huge empire as he was the only child. As he was always alone, he kept all his time and energy in reaching new heights for his empire, this was the only way to make his parents proud of him. In the process he forgot the happiness and love that he could have achieved for himself. He was alone and decided to stay as he was. Asad had never even raise his eyes to see and girl. After so many years, meeting Miss Farooqui, he was now restless to have someone waiting for him to return home to.

Tossing and turning in bed, he admired the bouquet with a huge smile and murmured,
"miss farooqui, you are going to be the death of me and its only been one time since I met you."
