they laughed togather.eric's phone buzzed.

asad was furious like a real lion.here they were all worried about her and she was having fun with eric?it was true he didn't had insecure feelings with eric and zoya's relationship but at this time of night she shudn't be with a boy alone roaming around when his ammi is hell worried.

he was reading a book but his eyes searched the minute hand of the clock.but how can he find one when he was living in a zoo.the monkey clock was digital above the LCD.it showed 12:13 am.he slammed the book and stood frustated.he will change this zoo soon.the door clicked open as his nostrils flared.

zoya headed straight to the direction of her room when asad's voice stopped her.

"ms. farooqi"

'allah miya mr khan is awake till now'she closed her eyes and took a deep breath before facing asad.she looked up

asad enraged with a sudden fury spitted "how ms farooqi.aapka phone switch off aa raha tha."

zoya started but asad helds his palm up"ab aap kahengi ki th battery was dead?hena?u know mene aapke jesa selfish insaan kabhi ni dekha.kis baat ka itna guroor he aapko is ghar ka?then m sorry to say ye ghar jald hi mera hone wala he.aur ghar me kis time par aana jaana he vo mere control me rahega understand."

zoya was close to tears by his harsh words"ghar aapka kese...me "she swallowed her tears unable to put words in a sentence.

"yes m soon gonna be HOD of ur company.aapke boss hone ke naate na sahi par me aapka hone wala shauhar hu goddamnit!n ur asking me me koun hota hu aapko sikhane wala.apne mulk ke sanskar aur mariyada aap na bhule to behtar hoga samjhi aap?kisi bhi mard ke saath itni raat gaye ghumna aapko shobha ni deta he.i know aap eric ke saath thi par uski bhi apni kuch life he.har koi aapki wajah se apne saare kaam chod humesha aapke liye maujood ni reh sakta he.har baat ki had hoti he ms farooqi.aainda se I'll make sure aap mere rules follow karengi.rahi baat is ghar ki to me ise jald hi GHAR banane wala hu naki koi zoo+digital home understand?"asad's voice was very high.thanks to technology the walls were soundproof or else dilshaad and nzma wud have come down and maybe even the neighbours.!

zoya turned around as the tears made the path thru her cheeks.she was sobbing and shaking"aap mat bhuliye mr khan ki humare mulk me aurto se is tarah baat ni kari jaati he.ek mahine tak aapke aur mere beech bahut silly arguments hue par aaj aapne jis tarah mujh par hak jamane ki koshish ki he I don't know I feel like hatered is paving the way slowly.mene nikaah ke liye manjoori ni di he mr khan.atleast abhi tak to ni.aap itne insensitive honge ye mene kabhi ni socha tha.aapka mujh par koi hak ni he .rahi baat aapke naam ye ghar karne ki to kal subah papers le aaiyega.isiliye ni ki ur gonna be man of the house but isliye kyuki uncle ye chahte he and unlike u me apne se chote bade sabki izzat karna janti hu.ye ghar HOD ka hoga ye pehle hi uncle mujhse clear kar chuke the.you can throw me out if u want"

she ran to her room and cried herself to sleep cursing her fate.asad stood there as he got the reality check.maybe things have gone too far.he shudn't have said that and for god's sake when did he said to throw her out?

zoya woke up with a headache.her shoulders pained coz she had slept in single position all night.she walked to washroom and the mirror showed her tear-stained face and red puffy eyes.

'allah miya mene kabhi nahi socha tha ki mr. khan will grow such insensitively.this isn't the man I loved!not at all.his eyes carried softness but his words last night stabbed me.did he really think to change this house.i designed it with all my heart for none other than phupi.par mr. khan is ghar ko badal denge?is ghar ki ek ek brick me love cherished he mere ammi, abbu,bhaijaan,nzma,phupi,asad ke liye.nahi me is ghar ko badalne ni dungi.theek he agar ye ghar unke naam hojaye and even m not allowed to live here but ye ghar ni badlega.ye mera wada he apne aap se and to my loved ones.'

after a good bath she was changed into an elegant aqua capherie and a white tank top.there was a knock on the door.she fetched her remote and opened the door.nzma rushed in.

"zoya jaldi chaliye na dekho ammi ko achanak kya hua?"

"phupi?"

they rushed to dilshaad's room.asad was already by her side.zoya looked away but thought this isn't the time to hold grudges and quickly placed the call to doctor.

"why?m going out next week so this will be a busy week for making arrangements."

eric shook his head"is there any way u can make oout some time for zoya?"

"nothing but I think u and zoya need to talk about this whole marridge thing."

"hmm I was thinking of it myself for a while.i'll see to it if I get some time.maybe at this weekend before leaving."rickwood said thoughtfully.

"okay then go ahead with u plans and m heading out."

"this is ur holiday I supoose so where ur heading?"

eric said with a grin"you know to hunt some chicks"

his dad just shook his head knowingly"good hunting"

"doctor is she alright?"asad asked worried.

"yes she is for now but it seems she had a low BP and stressed her mind over somethin'"

asad looked with fury at zoya and she looked down guilty.she knew well now that how phupi must be worried for her last night.she must have forgot to take her medicines.damn her mobile battery!

"I've given her some injestions.make sure she is fullfilled with all her wishes.at this state of mind m sure u don't want to give her anymore stress"Dr. sullivan said.

"not at all doc.we'll make sure"nzma resolved and shared a secret and knowing smile with the doctor.

"I'll set the bills"zoya said softly.

"oh no zoya.no payment this time.ur family;'s my family.m happy that after all those years of lonliness u will have someone to take care"she smiled at zoya and then asad.

asad cleared his throat and offered her to show her to the door.on their way out Dr. sullivan said to asad.

"Mr. Khan I hear from ur sister about ur wedding.zoya has always been a li'll sister to me.she is kind and gentle.i know she's been thru a lot in her past.but believe me ur the one to heal her wounds.she was distraught 5 years back and it took me long to bring her back.please take good care of her.and ofcourse of ur mom too."

they exchanged a warm smile and asad nodded"Dr. sullivan"

while coming back he pondered over what doc said.at first he thought she was talking about zoya's late family.but wasn't that 10 years back?wat happened 5 years back then?he was left with a question.

in dil's room zoya and nzma were sat on either side of dilshaad.

zoya spoke with wet eyes"phupi m so sorry.aap meri wajah se dawa lena bhool gai.me bohat buri hu na.mr. khan sahi kehte he m so selfish.me..."and she apologised again and again.dilshaad took her in for a tight and comforting hug.

"esa ni kehte zoya.shh ab tumhe meri kasam agar ek aur aansu giraya to."they broke the hug."now smile like a good girl"

zoya wiped her tears and asked"pehele aap mujhe maaf karengi?"

"are baba maaf kiya bas?wese bhi koi bhi maa apne baccho se zada der tak naraz thode hi rehti he"

zoya's lips curved up.dilshaad said "now that's my good girl"

they hugged again and this time nzma too joined the hug.asad who've been standing at the door smiled with an unknown contentment.he got the feeling of complete family.

dilshaad noticed asad and smiled"asad waha kyu khade ho beta ?andar aao."

asad walked in and zoya immidiately made room for him.

"phupi I'll make some soup for u"zoya started to walk away but was stopped by dilshaad.

"zoya,asad yaha aao tum dono,mere pass baitho."

they complied and sat on either side.on her ammi's signal nzma walked out saying she will prepare soup.

zoya glanced at asad and looked down finding that he was looking her way.

"zoya asad ne to is rishte ke liye haan kar di thi.tumhe kuch ni kehna?"dilshaad spoke softly

zoya remembered their fight yesterday night.'so its true.in jahapana ne apni ammi ke kehane par hi nikaah ke liye manjoori di he.'

"kya is khamoshi ka matlab me haan samjhoo?"dilshaad said.

zoya gave a quick glance at asad who was looking her way expectantly.'wow!!kal to sher ki tarah chilla rahe the aur ab ese dekh rahe he ki me haan keh doo?did he really think so'

"phupi nikaah ek bohat badi zimmedari he.mujhe vo..."but dilshaad was fast in acting.she showed her creased lines on her forehead and pretended to feel dizzy.asad and zoya reached for her.

"ya allah lagta he apne bete ka nikaah aur apne pote-poti ka muh dekna ab mere naseeb me nahi he."

asad rubbed his temple with his palm"ammi yeh aap kya keh ri he?"

"zoya tum chahti ho na ki yeh nikaah ho?"dilshaad again ' 'aahed' a little.

doc's words rang in zoya's mind.already dilshaad was in this state coz of her.she have to give her consent for her phupi.if it was a deal for asad then why not it be same for her.anything to keep her phupi stress free.

"phupi me nikaah ke liye ready hoo.bas aap aur koi stress mat lijiye please haan?"

dilshaad smiled and kissed her children's temples lovingly.asad looked at zoya relieved that she was contributing in keeping his ammi's health fine.

nzma cheered from behind with a tray of soup in her hand.zoya took the bowl and took a spoon full to her soon to be mother-in-law's mouth.

dilshaad frowned and denied to take it."aree itni khushi ka mauka he.ese mauko par kuch meetha khate he.asad jao kuch pies leke aao.we'll celebrate."

"ammi aap soup pijiye me leke aata hu pies"asad left with that.

"phupi chaliye muh kholiye"zoya tried to feed her phupi.dilshaad paid high price of the act she put up to make zoya agree.she had to gulp down that tasteless soup.zoya too left for washing the dishes.

nzma asked"ammi hum ye theek to kar reh he na?i mean wat if we've forced them into this marridge?"

dilshaad smiled at nzma's concern."nzma yeh meri experienced aankhe bohat kuch dekh paa rahi he jo tum ni dekh paa rahi.zoya ke har ek action me har ek baat me asad ke liye jagah hoti he.uski aankho me tumhare bhaijaan ke liye pyaar hi pyaar he.even when they argue.aur asad to khud ye nahi janta ki vo bhi kahi na kahi use pasand karne laga he.asad ko zoya ki zaroorat he.use ye jaan jana chaiye ki jo log usse alag he vo humesha galat ni hote.they'll make a perfect couple.tum dekhna bas"

"m sure they will.ammi finally ab humhare ghar khushiya aa rahi he.i can't wait for the marridge to start."nzma said excitedly.

"even I can't.allah mere baccho ko ese hi mehfooz rakhe"dilshaad wished.
