I so agree with you on his yesterday reaction - raising his hand on HER! I mean, How DARE he? NO JUSTIFICATION for his wrong actions seriously! Yes he stopped midway, maybe realised something or whatever! But the damage has been done. Like Ani wrote in her post.

He was an arrogant guy who loves to keep everyone dance on his tunes. He was blown by her when she din't dance on his tunes. Her guts, her bravery and independence - the things made him sweep him off his feet.
He bullied, she defied and audience swooned --> Love status - , ideal beginning to love story
It later turned into something more than attraction, it became infatuation when she did that snake thing. It became something more when he felt the need to save her. It grown into something deep when she held him for that night...when she "healed" him for the first time.
She a damsel in distress, He the saviour and audience wanting more --> Love status It was infatuation, maybe a lil more but not love yet.
He started questioning himself about these feelings, felt the need to ask her too. She din't reciprocate. He felt like a fool to even think about these feelings, those he kept away from himself. He resort to be with someone else. If only..
She didn't reciprocate coz he never bared his feelings. That has been his problem from day one. back then he didn't ask questions, but expected answers from her. Love status - Ahil loves Sanam (or so he thinks) While Sanam is clueless that not one but two men are crazy for her.He came to know she had feelings for someone else. That someone loved her too, gonna propose, was his brother. He started feeling guilty, frustrated, helpless, He never showed his feeling even when his brother showed him the ring, he hugged him and congratulated him. He was frustrated because she chose HIM over him. But instead, they ended up together.
The entry of the third wheel, with each knowing half truth and Sanam knowing no truth. Ahil thought Sanam loves Rehaan, Rehaan didnt know AHil loves Sanam and Sanam didn't know anything of anyone loving her. Love status - Same as above. They started living together, started knowing each other more. He had doubts did she really marry for money? Even after she had feelings for someone else? Their togetherness and her love and care started washing away those doubts from her.
Those doubts were there, but he didn't dwell on them. nor did he want to clear them. He let them be. It cropped now and then when they fought.
Love status - Ahil in love and Sanam stopped defying him and he stopped bullying her.
He started feeling happy that he married her, and she married him, he started drowning in deeper. He felt more close to her, closest to her, more than anyone else. He started staking claims on her too as his now, coz he feels she is, and he has the rights. She healed him once again, made him free of his biggest fear. He thought she is the one for me. But am I the one for her? He pushed himself away from her, until he realised she STUCK UP for me, with me always, I can't lose her. He finally confessed his love for her.
WAS IT LOVE? - YES!
Yes, this was the most beautiful part of Saahil journey. He loved her and she loved him back.
Love Status - Love is in the air. He confessed but not before a lot of blow hot blow cold leaving Sanam utterly confused whether He loves me or He loves me not.

The girl he thought would STICK with him till forever... left him??? Doesn't make sense! Then why did he think she would leave him? Oh, she never let him come close to her? She never said those words back? Is this the reason he gives? Ha! He himself never understood in first place is this really love?
Maybe she is too having some thoughts. But she did say she din't have any doubts then why she left him? He came to know from some "reliable sources" that she ran away. RAN AWAY???? at that day? How dare she? She insulted him, his love his eelings. She never loved him. He hates her! Without even searching for the reasons why she left and simply accepting it. He LOVES her?
@red - I don't think that would matter to him. She had gone through a series of murder attempts from bomb blast to drugging. He would'nt hold that as a grudge. No, not the Ahil I know.
This exactly is my grouse Prags. From his POV, she ran away. He had every right to be angry. His anger was justified. He was heart broken and rightly so. I could identify with his anger back then.
@underlined - But where does insult and revenge figure in love. He could've shouted at her, but making her a servant, flaunting his new wife just to spite her. Revenge is a word associated with enemies, not lovers. How much ever someone we love may misbehave or break our heart, we wont want to hurt that person if we really love that person. Standing there mute watching rowdy men oogle her doing mujra. The Ahil I knew would've dragged Sanam outta there before the dance began not after the dance ended and she fell down unconscious.
Love status - Don't know about others, but this was not love. You can blame the swap. But I would say swap proved to be an eye opener for Sanam. Tmrw, if she does something wrong or insults Ahil or puts the Nawabi izzat at stake, this is what awaits her. And its pretty scary.
She came back one day. WHY?? If she would have left then why would have she come back? She tried to tell the reasons he din't listen. A SINGLE WORD from her, not even a chance to explain. So much for his LOVE for her. He insulted her just like he thought she did. He claimed someone else as his in front of her. She kept pleading and crying. NO SHE LEFT HIM!!
Love Status - NIL
She kept proving herself, he din't approve. She looked for every single chance, he din't approve. She brought out the biggest truth in front of him, he thanked her. She burnt that truth in front of him, he raised his hand on her.
IS IT LOVE? - NO!!

Will it be back to being love like it was?? Season 3 will tell..
If Gul puts her interest in Qh, then we can begin it will be wow to begin with. After that none can guarantee.Sorry this got long! But couldn't stop once started writing 😆
