I haven't watched since Monday's episode, but I do plan on watching this week. I don't think I will watch next week because Tanveer will be missingš because today's episode shows me how little I care about SaHil, and everything else now.I do have to say though, I don't think you can compare anyone, man or woman, forgiving their mother or any woman for lying and keeping secret an illegitimate child, to a man or anyone not willing to easily forgive someone ran out and left them hanging at the altar.That being said, today's episode is why I say SaHil are butchered, Aahil is butchered. Sanam emmm I don't know... maybe maybe not.Aahil *is* butchered because earlier the makers were also careful in not showing SaHil as an abuser/jackass/disrespectfulmale-doormat dynamic, dynamic. They always knew how to balance it, both with his own behavior as well as Sanam's reaction.Whereas now, though I would not call Sanam a doormat, Aahil's behavior while yes, one can say it can match well with his characterization, it also crumbles his characterization because there are certain choices and actions which need not have gone the way it did. Earlier they were careful to balance it, to make it so that it doesn't come off a certain way. Now they are not so bothered.BTW, did Aahil correct/cover himself with adding in Lateef and others?
@bold blue...
I agree that both men and women have equal abilities to be vindictive and unforgiving of family members' erroneous ways. But you may agree that women tend to be more forgiving of our partners than vice versa.
I suppose that depends on the man one is with. Okay I'll give you that point.
If we live in a utopian society where men and women are equal, then I agree that marriages are a peaceful place where everybody gets their due and share.
but , the premise of marriage itself is unequal. A woman must accept her role as second in command, because the society is disdainful of a dominating woman (or appearing to be in control) in a marriage.
I agree that Aahil is mean, and being a huge jerk, (and I'm not defending him) but he's punishing Sanam for leaving him. When he avoided commitment his whole life, she broke him down and made him fall for her, only to teach him how much it hurts.
Tanveer dressed it up for him earlier: She's doing it as payback to you for treating her badly before.
However, I agree that the Creatives have compromised the plot by delaying the much awaited confrontation between Sanam and Aahil.
Why?
I can only guess that they are heading for more drama. A proper separation perhaps?
Because them making up now will lead to permanent sauten drama... so they are playing out some icky triangle angst before something happens.
Sanam cannot be both sympathetic and consolatory to Sanam2 AND vie for Aahil's forgiveness and love.
It's like taking away someone's toy because it belonged to you first, and then consoling them for crying...
yes, it did look like Aahil added the other names as an afterthought, so Sanam wouldn't think he was concerned about her...
