generally daily soaps are always female dominated, saas bahu sagas hav no specific role given to male leads but they work very well, many of sp's shows r saas bahu sagas, whose names of the male leads r not even known to many ppl 😆 bcz their main criteria is to impress aunty ppl .. for all of us there r many youth shows which dont hv high trps like saas bahu dramas, they introduce stupid illogic twists and turns to improve ratings and the drama always surrounds around either female lead or saas or villian, hero is just a pawn who wil be shown as dumb person most of the times ..!! so no point of ranting over tht, indian shows storyline should change and content should be given importance not ratings or trp's.. my pov 😛

Well dear this thread is actually about sunehri's characterisation.. i did not mention in any place that I have problem with her acting .. only when someone pointed out flaws in her acting did I agree as everyone is entitled to their opinion right?...

Talking about SJ's success in distinguishing sanam n sunny... I beg to differ...I for one hate sunny because of the writing of her character and not because SJ plays both roles amazingly... I think anyone given the role of madame sunehri would have received hatred from people...

Actually for me, Sanam's character is very well portrayed by Sj and the role suits her acting capabilities like a glove. Her portrayal of OTT drama queen still needs a lot of work as per me and I never liked zoya's OTT parts either...Simply put Sanam brings the best in SJ where else Zoya and Seher brings out the worst bits of Sjs acting to the forefront...I'll admit though that Seher is a huge improvement over Zoya in OTT portrayal.

NOw as for me not liking Seher, is actually more to do with the character itself yes, I have huge problems with the way cvs are drawing parallels with street children and Seher's character by showing it in such a negative light when the reality is (as far as I know) street children who had been lucky enough to be spared from prostitution or drugs...DO NOT depict this kind of negativity...

...and I also don't like that cvs try to draw sympathy towards her criminal behaviour by providing small reminders about her past...If we look at the criminal population more than 80% of these people would have terrible childhood experiences associated with them, but still it doesn't excuse them from ruining other innocents lives just cause they had a terrible childhood...
