A few days later Dilshad Constructions...

"I think we should call it a night Shahid."

"Definitely Sanam its really late and you look exhausted. But I must say this presenation looks great! We finally put together exactly what we envisioned! I wish I could be there when you present next week but unfortunately I need to go back home for a week or two. You know Abu has not been feeling too well for the past month..."

"Arre Shahid I told you na, its no big deal! I've got it covered. Your designs are fantastic and you know Abu is very proud of you. This was all your hard work. I just put together the presentation and hopefully I do justice when presenting it. But you don't worry about anything! Family comes first and if you need anything just let me know. You Abu's health should not be compromised in any way. In fact, I wish I could have came with you to see him but you definitely keep me updated!"

"Thank you so much Sanam. Thats so sweet of you! Definitely I will keep you posted. And don't worry you will do just fine on the presentation! Now lets get you home. I told Asad sir that I would drop you as well as the few files I have with me. I have to leave tomorrow so I need some rest as well. You also look tired and hungry. Plus I am sure Seher is waiting for you. So before woh aapna ghussa mujhpe nikale, lets go!"

Shahid smiled at her and she smiled back. He was not only the best architect working under her father but also a very good friend of hers. Sanam knew Shahid had a small crush on Seher but she didn't know how to tell him that maybe her sister was taken. In fact, Seher had gone on a date with Rehan just yesterday and she couldnt stop talking about it since she came home. Seher has never been so excited and happy post a date. Sanam could tell that Rehan was special for her and she was happy to see that her sister had finally found someone special in her life. They had been texting all week and even she spoke to Rehan on the phone a few times. He was a really sweet guy and seemed to like Seher a lot. Looks like Shahid would have to find his own special lady and with his amazing personality, that shouldn't be a problem!

As they walked through the parking lot towards Shahid's car, Sanam called Seher to let her know that she was on her way. She heard Ammi yelling about dinner through the phone and shook her head. As long as Ammi didn't cook dinner herself, they would be just fine. Her Ammi was supercool but cooking was not her forte. Sanam knew how to cook very well, her Badi Ammi taught her while Seher was the tech person to call to fix anything, she was just like Ammi. Though the few times their experiments had gone wrong, Abu's face was worth watching. He was absolutely horrified at what the house had become. Sanam smiled to herself as she caught up with Shahid. Once they settled in the car, Shahid began to drive. It was chilly outside so he turned on the heat on low and played the radio. They laughed as the RJ made some funny comments and played different songs.

Next up is gulabi aankhen a classic song to woo your ladylove.

"I love this song! Its so adorable!"

"Really Sanam I had no idea you were into this romance and all?!!" Shahid teased.

Sanam hit his arm playfully. "This song is not hardcore romantic stuff. Its more of a fun song. I love the light and fun feel to it. It makes a girl feel special. I mean who doesn't want to hear such crazy, awara and flirty lines sung for them. Even if they are not the typical die hard romantics. Plus yaar purane hindi gaanon ka ek alag hi andaaz tha. Flirting mein bhi class tha!" Sanam chuckled.

"I agree Sanam. Those days of Mohammad Rafi and Kishore Kumar were the best!"

"I know right! Those songs had their own charm and elegance." Sanam sighed as the music went on.

"Dil mein mere khwaab tere... tasveere jaise ho deewaar pe. Tujhpe fida main kyun hua... aata hai gussa mujhe pyaar pe." Sanam giggled as Shahid sang along. Soon she joined him and even thought there was no female parts, they were singing together. The two friends had a fun time in the car, singing and making jokes along with the radio. What they didn't notice however was a car speeding right behind them.

Aahil wanted to throw the goddamn radio out of the car. Every single station was playing romantic hindi songs. Unbelievable! This is what he gets for forgetting his ipod. As Aahil cruised through the streets of Bhopal, which were not as crowded as they usually were, he looked back at the talli sleeping beauty in the backseat. He needed to get her home before she puked all over his car. If it wasn't for his terrible guilty conscience, he would have left her at the restaurant. But he felt bad. She drank more than she could handle. He had no idea why someone would drink so much, especially on a date, that they cant even stand straight. From experience, he knew she was going to have a terrible hangover in the morning but he could not get himself to sympathize with her too much as she mumbled and spoke in a strange garbled language, in the back seat of his car! Allah jaane konse manhoos ghadi mein maine isse date ke liye bulaiya. Zarine! She is not even hot! Now I have to drop her home so make sure she ends up in the right house, thought Aahil as he ran his hand through his hair in frustration. He sped up just so he could get rid of her quick. There was a car in front of him that was moving at its own pace, he decided against honking because he already had a headache and after dropping this headache home, he wanted to hit the bed and not wake up for a few hours. Aahil looked back to see Zarine dozing off.

"Hey sleeping beauty stay up! I am not going to carry you to your bedroom ok!" Aahil could not believe himself. He was refusing to go to the bedroom of a girl. But he couldn't risk this one vomiting all over him! Unfortunately more trouble was awaiting him. As soon as he turned around he had to brake hard to stop himself from crashing into the car in front of him. His car had grazed the other car slightly. While he was sure there was barely a scratch, he knew how sensitive car owners were. He himself loved his car a lot! Usually Aahil would get out and resolve the matter but he looked through the mirror to see Zarine becoming more and more pale by the minute. He was torn but finally made a decision within half a second. He sped away after sparing one more glance behind him. The car was barely scratched and the people inside could have barely felt the impact. He felt a small tug of guilt as he sped away. But he had to get this girl home and hopefully those in the car would also get home safe.

"What the hell!" Shahid fumed as he got out of the car. "Sanam are you ok?"

Sanam stumbled out of the car. "Yes I am fine Shahid. Just a bit shaken. Ya Allah this could have been really bad! Thankfully the idiot had enough brains to brake. Only Allah knows what was in his mind!"

Shahid came around and gave her a small hug. Sanam calmed her heartbeats. "I am so sorry Sanam. This--"

"It wasn't your fault. I am just glad we are fine. Shahid just dont tell Abu and Ammi about this. They will freak out!"

"No I understand. I wont tell them. I swear I would have complained to the police but its no use. Since we didnt get hurt and my car just has a small scratch, I highly doubt it will take more than a second for Nawab Aahil Raza Ibrahim to get the case shut."

Sanam looked at Shahid and blinked a few times. Aahil Raza Ibrahim? Had she heard him right?

"You mean Chote Nawab? Shahid how do you know thats his car? Its dark outside too. Are you sure?"

"I am positive Sanam. He was parking the same time as me when he came to our office. His car had a strange symbol in the back. The same one this car does so it definitely belongs to him."

Sanam felt a strange disappointment wash over her. She was hoping Shahid was wrong. Why... she didn't know! Sanam shook her head. "Well that makes sense! Since when do these raizaade care for people's lives. He could have crushed us with his car and still not have cared. The lives of common people have no value for them. There is no profit they can make off of us and thats all that speaks in their dictionary!" Sanam huffed. She was right! This man will never change! Not then, not now, not ever!

"Its ok Sanam. Leave it. He is probably drunk and doesn't even know he hit a car. My car is fine and once I return I will get the scratch covered. Lets just go home." He opened the door as Sanam got in. She still felt her cheeks burn as unpleasant memories flashed before her.

"Sanam calm down! I like your gulabi aankhen avatar better than your jhansi ki rani one." Despite her anger, Sanam felt a small smile form on her lips. After a while the tension was eased and the incident was forgotten. They spoke about random things and the project until Shahid pulled into their driveway and they said their goodbyes. As Shahid drove off, Sanam wondered what Aahil was doing out so late. Was he drunk? With a girl? Planning to go to her place? In her bedroom? Sanam shut her eyes in frustration. Why did she care?!! She was just tired and hungry, thats all!

One week later Barkat Hotels...

Sanam sat in the conference room trying not to tap her feet against the floor as she looked around. Today was the big day. Amongst all the firms, she was representing Dilshad Constructions to impress the owner of Barkat Hotels and Resorts and hopefully he liked their firm's designs for his new summer resort. Sanam was a financial advisor and not an architect but this was a big project so Abu wanted her to represent the firm. This was Sanam's first time representing her firm and she was a little nervous. She had reviewed the presentation at least five times making sure she got every little detail from Shahid before he left. How she wished he was here. She loved his designs and he would have been the best person to explain it. But she knew he had to fulfill his responsibilities as a son, which was more important and she was sure that the designs will be liked anyway. The designs were simple yet had so much heart and soul that Sanam could not see why Mr. Zain Abdullah or his father Usman Abdullah would not like them. She smiled slightly at the guy next to her knowing that he had an equally interesting design with him. This wait was unbearable. Suddenly the door of the conference room opened and all eyes reached there just like students upon the professor's arrival. Everyone got up to greet the three men who walked in but Sanam froze as she could not move, the eyes that met hers before anyone else's certainly did not belong to the Abdullah's. In fact she knew these eyes anywhere. Eyes that haunted her before, even in her sleep. The man she least expected here, Nawab Aahil Raza Ibrahim. For sure now she would be the first one rejected. Thinking she put hours of work into the presentation, Sanam felt her heart sink. The games destiny played with her! Everywhere she went he was there and each time something went wrong! Ya Allah her luck!

Bechari what bad luck! thought Aahil with an amused look. He himself wished this girl would not run into him again but here she was. As soon as he entered the room those mystical orbs once again held his gaze. She looked at him surprised and Aahil could sense that she was getting nervous. He smirked, so he did have an effect on her. Of course the rational side of him knew that Sanam Ahmed Khan was probably not having those naughty thoughts that women around him usually did. She was probably just cursing her luck! But those naughty thoughts didn't sound so bad either. In fact they sounded more interesting when involving a certain lady with a very feisty nature! Being alone with a woman in a conference room can lead to interesting prospects, but here nor were they alone and nor was Ms. Sanam Ahmed Khan the least bit interested, thought Aahil rolling his eyes. Though he had to say she was kind of hot! In her own way, without trying to flaunt, she was attractive. Her confidence, attitude and determination was definitely something. Aahil kicked himself mentally. Instead of making her squirm being in front of him, here he is praising her. Aahil walked into the room without giving her another glance. But he knew she was looking straight at him and how he longed to look back into those eyes and burn her with his gaze, but he decided against doing that. She had a presentation to give and he would have to watch her do that. He couldn't afford to complicate things further.

When Aahil had walked into Zain's office this morning, he had not expected that Zain would ask him to join the team in choosing a design for his new summer resort. Zain knew Aahil had dealt with architects before, so he wanted advice but how was he to say that recently more than architects, he dealt with their fesity daughters, well only one that was simply not leaving his mind. Two weeks and her words still rang in his ears, her eyes still flashed before him and her smell still lingered in the air around him. Aahil thought about her more than he cared to admit. She was quite different from all the women he had met thus far. As the different firms presented Aahil could not help but look at Sanam as she chewed on her pen. Her plump luscious lips had no idea what they were missing not being kissed by ARI. The hair that kept on disturbing his view needed to be softly tucked behind her ear. Her soft cheeks demanded to be caressed. The spot between her neck--- unbelievable what the hell was he thinking!

Aahil softly let out the breath that he was unknowingly holding and quickly looked ahead paying attention to the presentation. If Ms. Sanam Ahmed Khan got the slightest inkling of his thoughts he would definitely be quite a bit of trouble. He surely didn't want to hear any more of her lectures! Besides he needed to focus on the presentation in case Zain did ask his opinion. He didn't want to give his friend a wrong advice. More presentations went on and Aahil tried hard to not be distracted by Sanam's various movements. He halfheartedly listened to the enthusiastic architects boast about their designs. As soon as the current presentation was finished, Zain read Dilshad Constructions and Sanam instinctively got up and walked across the room. Aahil looked at her, she looked confident in her walk but the way she had one palm closed, he could tell she was nervous. He looked at her. But she looked straight at Zain. As Sanam presented the designs from her firm, Aahil had to admit they were amazing. In fact he was quite speechless at their concept and design. The best part was that she didn't boast, she simply held their attention through the various scenarios she used to explain her designs. As Sanam spoke, Aahil noticed how smooth and graceful her voice was, almost soothing. He didnt know how long he just stared until Zain nudged him. "This one is by far the most impressive." Aahil was about to agree when he saw that Sanam was looking right at him. "Hmm I still have some questions about it." Once Sanam finished and smiled asking for questions, Aahil spoke up.

"So Ms. Khan, you claim that this design is perfect for families during the summer, but with so many options why exactly would the they pick this resort, if your firm's designs are incorporated," Aahil looked at her smugly. Sanam looked like she was working extra hard to control her anger. Looks like something good came out of him coming to Zain's office today. Her discomfort and anger was pure pleasure for him.

His audacity! thought Sanam. She knew he would want her to mess up but she was prepared. She was not so mad as his question as she was for the reason behind it. He wanted to make her nervous. Make her lose. Make her crumble before him. But nope he chose the wrong girl for that!

"Mr. Ibrahim, although I have explained this in my presentation, I will gladly go over it once more." Sanam tried to keep the sarcasm out of her voice as she continued. "Families seek togetherness. Throughout our busy schedules, these vacations give us the time to actually communicate and spend time with our familes. This design not only allows families to take part in many activities together but they get to actually spend time together. As oppose to children playing in one---

"Sorry to interrupt, but dont you think your firm's design are very similar to all the other ones. I mean we are talking about the architecture here not family values." He raised an eyebrow at her as Sanam clenched her fist against her scarf. So he was trying to get revenge for what she said to him earlier. Fine two could play the game!

"Well Mr Ibrahim, I am also very aware that we are talking about architecture. Well in that case, let me point out that instead of being just luxurious, our firms designs are also efficient. You see, architecture is not just about beauty and design but also about form and function. These designs are not made to just appeal to those who are wealthy but also those who are willing to spend time with their family. There are many who can afford to take only one or two vacations a year, if any, whether due to lack of time or money, it should be worthwhile for them. The different rooms and areas are there for a reason. They make sure that families and friends who come on vacation together and have different tastes can still enjoy what they love while staying together in one group. Also the exterior replicates nature to make it easier to enjoy the outdoors without going too far away from the resort. Although nothing can truly recreate nature, our designs attempt to incorporate nature with architecture. Its beneficial to those staying in it and to those who build and invest in it." Sanam finished and arched her eyebrows at him. Aahil had to admit, this girl was something else. He had no idea what else to ask without appearing stupid! But he was also ARI.

"But if your firm was so confident about their designs why is your architect not present? If I recall correctly, you are the firm's financial advisor? Am I right Ms. Khan? If we are talking about budgets, we can probably take your word for it but architecture? Thats probably not your department?" Aahil heard Zain give a small groan as he nudged him.

Sanam looked at him in disbelief. Aahil could tell that Sanam knew the designs so well that one could mistake her for an architect but he couldnt pass up this opportunity. After what she said to him, without knowing anything, him making her a tad bit nervous during a presentation was nothing. Her discomfort was pleasing while her anger and confidence was doing something totally different to him. He had to admit Ms. sanam Ahmed Khan was not one to give up. It was evident that she put a lot of work into the presentation and wasn't going to crumble, but even he would not let her have it easy.

"Unfortunately our architect had a family emergency to attend and we don't believe in letting anything set us back. I have sat with him to make sure that I understood why he made each line, what purpose each room holds and how this will benefit our clients. I have not just walked up here to shame our firm. You can ask me any specific information. I may be a financial advisor but that does not mean that I don't understand any other aspect of what our firm does, especially when architecture is what our firm is all about. Plus being the daughter of an architect, I definitely know my designs and blueprints very well. As a financial advisor, I also know the risks and gains of this business, particularly of arriving at a presentation without any knowledge of whats going on. That is one risk I will never take. I don't take my position in my firm for granted. But like I said, if there are any questions, I will be glad to explain. But there have been many presentations before me, I didn't not see any such qualms then. Mr. Ibrahim maybe we should not let our personal judgments overshadow our professional ethics." Sanam tried to control her anger and stopped herself before this became an argument. She was representing her father's firm and she didn't want her first project to start is such a negative way. Sanam knew that the atmosphere in the room had become tense and somewhat crossed the lines of professionalism. The last thing she needed was a showdown that had an audience. She composed herself quickly and looked straight at Aahil.

Sanam could have sworn she something flash in his eyes, admiration? Nope she was probably wrong. It passed as quickly and was masked with arrogance as he nodded his head to indicate that his questions were over. But he did look a little impressed even as he flashed her a smug smile indicating that his job was done. He just wanted to make her nervous but even he knew that he failed! Sanam had to admit him staring at her was making the butterflies in her stomach flutter even faster. Gosh was she actually feeling nervous with the look he gave her? Sanam suddenly realized that her mouth felt dry. She took a deep breath and waited.

Aahil told Zain that he would be waiting in his cabin and made his exit, Sanam threw him a discreet dirty look as he left and Aahil just gave her the smile that had half of Bhopal at his feet, the half mainly consisting of females! As everyone else slowly dispersed out of the room, Zain Abdullah shook her hand and said, "though we formally have not announced who we have decided to sign the deal with, I am sure its obvious, it will be a pleasure to work with your firm Ms. Khan! We know that we are in capable hands. Your firm's reputation and your confidence has won us over. You should recieve an official email from us soon. Thank you once again Ms. Khan! And I apologize on behalf of my friend. He was just being extra cautious for my benefit. I hope you understand."

"Thats ok. Thank you Mr. Abdullah!" Zain Abdullah smiled and left. Sanam felt relieved yet because of that had occurred a few moments ago, the fact that the presentation had gone well still didn't register in her mind. All because of that man!

As she was leaving her eyes met the warm eyes of Usman Abdullah. The elderly man was looking at her warmly as he said, "Asad will be very proud of you Sanam. I know him for years and honestly I would have given him the project. But after I heard about all the hard work you put in, I decided to let you earn your victory. You surely have! After all that happened, you didnt budge and have shown immense courage! Its so amazing to see women with such confidence in every field. Keep it up! Your presentation was phenomenal, even my son Zain was really impressed!"

"Thank you Mr. Abdullah! I am glad you that you did! It made me feel as if I have achieved something! Thank you so much for your warm compliments Mr. Abdullah."

"Beta you can call my son that, for me you are Asad's daughter so you can call me Usman Uncle."

Sanam smiled as humor glinted in the eyes of the Usman Abdullah. "Bura na mano toh ek baat puchu Sanam. Tum kya Aahil ko pehle se hi jaante ho? Tum dono toh ek dusre ko takkar deh rahe the. Mahaul kuch zyaada hi tense ho gaya tha. Saab theek hai na beta?"

"Nahi Uncle aisa kuch nahi. Bas sochiye ke asie Nawab ko logon ko pareshaan karne mein maza aata hai. Main unhe nahi jaante hoon aur jaana bhi nahi chahti hoon. Woh jo bhi kare ya soche, mera khuda jaanta hai maine kitni mehnat ki hai. Aur dekhiye meri mehnat rang layi." She gave him a small smile. She didn't want to talk about the nawab anymore.

As if Usman Uncle understood, he smiled at her and replied, "of course beta. Your presentation was really good! I am glad ke tumne kisi ko tumhe pressurize ya nervous karne nahi diya. Aahil toh yuhi aise karta hai. Main usse janta hoon. Bura nahin hai lekin uska aapna hi ek andaaz hai. Despite all of that, you have handled things very well. Future mein yeh experience tumhe yaad rehegi and tumhe aur bhi mushkil situations ko face karne ki himmat degi. But woh sab chodo, Asad will be very proud of you! Main toh ab zyaada office nahin aata hoon lekin kabhi kabhi aaonga tum logon ki progress dekhne. Aur tum bhi aapne parivaar ke saath hamare ghar aana. Bahut dino se tumhare Ammi aur Abu se nahin mila."

"Thank you so much uncle! Main koshish karungi ke aapna best kaam karoon. Meri pehli project hai yeh, aur mein kiski ko bhi mujhe nirash nahi karne dungi. Aur ha uncle main zaroor Abu ko bolungi aur aap bhi sab ko lekar ghar aana. Badi Ammi, Ammi aur Abu ko bahut acha lagega. Aur aap mere behen Seher se bhi mil lena."

After they said their goodbyes, Sanam stepped out of the conference room with a smile. She quickly took out her phone and called her Abu as she walked towards the elevator. Sanam smiled as she hung up the phone after letting her Abu know she had done it! The pride she heard is his voice made her happiness double. For the first time since her presentation she felt excited! He even promised her a small surpirse and Sanam couldn't wait to see what her Abu had planned for her!

As Sanam entered the packed elevator she found herself being pushed back as more people got on and off, She moved as far back as she could until she collided with a hard shouldder. Sanam instantly felt a hand steadying her waist as she was about to stumble backwards. She looked back and up to find herself looking into those eyes again. In an instant his eyes changed from surprised to apologetic. Sanam tried to steady her heartbeats. She would make this as normal as possible. If destiny was mocking her, she would not let it enjoy at all! As soon as she found a small spot to stand, she noticed that his hand had moved away from her waist. She shifted slightly to her side as she didnt want to lean on him. She saw him quickly put his hands into his pockets and look ahead. Sanam moved so that there was enough space between them that manners required. As more people got off and and on and the elevator when down from the 15th floor to the 14th floor, Sanam felt her back hit the side of the elevator. She relaxed slightly as the elevator went down again. As Sanam was reaching in her bag to put away her phone, she felt her hand brush against his. She could have sworn he sucked in a breath. Right the Aahil Raza Ibrahim who usually loved being in the touch of women felt clustered by her presence. Obviously because she was not one those hot girls in skimpy outfits that he liked. Sanam felt her cheek burn, why should she care, she didn't want to touch him either! Sanam could not wait to get off this darn elevator which was stuffed with more people than it could handle. Ya Allah patience was no present in this world! She couldnt wait to get off the elevator and people could not stop themselves from entering an already jammed one! She bit her lip in anxiety as the elevator went down to the next floor. Unknown to her, the man next to her was equally uncomfortable.

Aahil had never felt such a strong electric current as he did just by the simple brush of her hand. He involuntarily sucked in a breath trying to control himself. She probably had no idea what her presence, especially so close was doing to him. Thank god she had enough sense to not lean on him. Aahil had no idea what he would go through with her soft body pressed against his. Aahil nearly groaned with the thought of that. Never had he been so turned on by the mere presence of a woman. He stole a small glance at her. She looked a bit angry and frustrated. Surprisingly the anger radiating from her made her even more attractive. Aahil Raza Ibrahim, who usually just claimed the women he wanted and was very upfront was now stealing glances at a woman. Rehan would have laughed in his face at this one! Well, who could blame him when the woman in question was so unique. She would probably injure him with the closest weapon if she caught him looking at her. Aahil smiled inwardly.

Yet whenever his eyes had met hers, he had a hard time moving his gaze elsewhere as it had happened when she turned back to look at him. This girl made him feel too many things at once. It was scary enough that she made him feel. Unknowingly to him, the heart that he had once claimed doesnt know how to beat for someone was now racing at just the sight of her. Her feisty nature, intelligence, and pride attracted him. Although her opinion of him was very low and her remarks were cutting, she was one strong woman! She had looked into his eyes and spoke to him! Aahil Raza Ibrahim!

Suddenly Aahil felt someone grab his arm through his shirt. He broke out of his thoughts to see that Sanam had been pushed against him by the man in front of her who apologized and she quickly composed herself and muttered an angry "its ok." She looked back at him and said a soft "sorry". For a minute he just looked at her lips that had uttered a simple sorry but had left him waiting for more. He looked at her to see that she was genuinely embarrassed. Aahil bit back a smile. Poor thing, jitna bhi door jaana chate hai, utna hi paas aa jaati hai. Girls can never resist him, thought Aahil, not even one that disliked him so much.

But Aahil could sense Sanam's discomfort so he whispered "its ok Ms. Khan. Mujhe zyaada chot nahi aaya." Aahil could see that despite herself the corner of her lips began to curve a little and that made Aahil feel a strange warmth inside. For the first time since they met she smiled because of him. As they went down each floor, the elevator slowly emptied out and Aahil moved away to give Sanam her space. Sanam looked at him and he could see confusion in her eyes. But he had no idea why. Aahil blinked as he felt a strange pull towards her. Her eyes were questioning him in a dangerous way. They were trying too hard to search into his soul. The elevator had stopped on the second floor and the only other people aside from them got off. Aahil looked anywhere but at her. He didn't want to say or do anything to break the silence between them. Nor did he want her to look at him like that! For once silence was peaceful.

Sanam had no idea why but the very fact that he moved aside to give her space and showed that much respect for her, made her feel confused and nervous. He didn't try to intimidate her at all! Somehow things just didn't add up! She preferred mentally cursing the Nawab as oppose to trying to figure him out. She looked at him and he had caught her. Sanam felt embarrased but in his eyes she saw a strange intensity that she had goosebumps up her arms. It as as if he was hiding something. A part of him that could solve this puzzle. Suddenly he looked away and the moment was gone. Sanam looked at the elevator buttons, they were almost to the first floor. Seher was suppose to pick her up and Sanam hoped she was already there. She didn't want to stand alone and think... about anyone. She rather talk to her sister about anything and everything other than the man next to her. This meeting was strangely uncomfortable. Not because she hated him but because for once she felt something she had never felt before. As soon as the elevator stopped on the first floor, Sanam looked at Aahil who gestured her to go first. Sanam stepped out with Aahil right behind her. Without realizing it they were both walking in the same direction towards the parking lot. There were so many peope around yet she felt only his presence. Sanam could sense that he was trying to walk away from her but somehow the crowd kept on pushing them in the same direction. Sanam walked faster until she felt her heel hit something. But before she could fall, she felt a hand grab her and steady her. "Careful. You dont want to celebrate your success with a broken leg." She looked up to see Aahil smirking at her but Sanam could see the concern in his eyes which disarmed her for a minute. She quickly caught her breath as she heard, "Arre Aahil bhai aap yaha?" Sanam knew that voice and she quickly moved away as Aahil also stepped back.

Seher was about to pick up her sister from the Abdullahs' office when Rehan called her to meet up. They decided to go together. Rehan and Sanam had liked each other very much and somehow that made Seher very happy. Rehan had grabbed sandwiches for all three of them and picked her up from home. Seher had never felt so special. They had gone on a movie date and met up for coffee a few times. Seher had no idea if what she felt for Rehan was love but she really liked him. His compliments made her cheeks heat up, his kind gestures touched her heart and spending time with him made every moment special. It almost felt like a fairlytale romance! Seher Ahmed Khan and fairlytale romance?!! Seher loved enjoying life to the fullest with adreline rush and excitement, but Rehan made her want to enjoy each moment slowly sometimes as well. He made her feel like a woman! Most of all the respect he had for her made her see herself in a new way. Though she had took it up to task to make him a bit more adventurous, them spending time never led to a boring moment. Maybe opposite do attract? They weren't exactly opposites, they had more similarities than they knew but her spunk and his theraav made for an interesting combo. The more time they spent, the more they connected. As Seher and Rehan drove to the office, they chatted about everything from work to films to their families. Seher has finally gotten the job she wanted and Rehan was very happy for her. If Abu approves the final deal with the Ibrahims, Rehan could very well handle that project, Seher also got to know a lot about Chote Nawab aka Rehan's Aahil bhai. To be honest, she found him so different from Api's description. Rehan seem to genuinely love his brother and was very proud of him. Its strange how Api disliked him so much yet from Rehan's descriptions he seemed like a really nice person. Imagine her shock when she saw Sanam in the arms of Aahil!

Rehan bit back a small smile as he looked at Seher. She raised an eyebrow as her eyes widened. In front of them stood their visibly flustered siblings looking at everything else but each other.

"Bhai maine poocha ke aap yaha?" Rehan could tell his brother was very uncomfortable with his question and only Allah knows how he stopped himself from bursting into laughter seeing his brother so embarrased.

"Rehan main Zain se milne aya tha." His brother said in a neutral tone. "Tha? Tho kya nahi mile aap Zain bhai se? Toh phir kisse mile?" He felt Seher shove him slightly at that.

He could tell she wanted to laugh as well and he was making it harder for her. Seher reached forward and introduced herself to Aahil. Rehan saw that despite being a bit embarrassed, Aahil could not ignore Seher's enegy as he smiled and shook her hand.

"Seher right? I heard a lot about you from Rehan. Its finally nice to meet you."

"Well same here! Till now I always saw Chote Nawab of Bhopal on TV but to finally meet you as Aahil, Rehan's brother is really nice! But looks like you met my sister before me!" Seher said narrowing her eyes while fighting back a smile. This girl was so bad! Rehan thought.

Aahil looked at Sanam who looked at the car instead. Aahil just smiled at Seher and said, "its alright. We save the best for last!" Seher looked at her sister who shook her head and she burst into giggles.

"Your cool Nawab saab! I will stick to calling you that for now! Aahil bhai sounds a bit too buzurg to me." Rehan looked at Seher incredulously. This girl was truly crazy! Seher suddenly turned her attention to her sister who was more quiet than usual.

Seher bit her lip as she said, "tho Api maine shocha ke deal final hote aap ke chehre pe ek khushi hogi, lekin yahan toh kuch aur hi hai." Sanam's eyes widened.

"Well if your introductions are done then you can hear about the presentation Seher." Sanam said looking annoyed as Seher burst out laughing.

"I am kidding Api! Ammi texted me to let me know that you made it! I heard they loved your presentation! I am so proud of you!" Seher wrapped her arms around her twin as Rehan could see Sanam relax a bit. She smiled at her sister. Meanwhile Rehan wondered what occured to make the two of them so flustered. As far as he knew, they were not so fond of one another. Its so strange that that ran into each other on such an important day for Sanam. As Seher finished squeezing her sister into a bear hug, Rehan reached forward and gave her a hug as well. He saw Seher smile at him. He really liked her fmaily, especially Sanam as they both shared a love for cooking and old Hindi songs.

"I am so happy for you Sanam. Aab party kab dogi?"

"Party? Tum jab bhi chaho ghar aa sakhte ho. Hum sab ko acha lagega. But khas karke Seher ko." Sanam gave Seher a got you back look as she blushed and Rehan chuckled.

"I would love to. Anyday your sister invites me." Rehan smiled as Seher quipped, "your also invited Chote Nawab saab. Unless of course your too busy for us normal people. Being royalty must be so cool!"

"I guess it is. But anyway thanks for the invite." Aahil gave Seher a small smile. Rehan could sense his brother's disappointment at Sanam not including him in her party list.

"Anyway bhai your going home?" Aahil looked at Sanam briefly before nodding his head.

"Yes I want to go home and freshen up. I have a few conference calls in the evening."

"Ok then bhai. I will drop these ladies and then come home."

As Aahil walked towards his car, Rehan caught him looking at Sanam again. He could sense that his brother was reluctant to leave?!! Rehan made a mental note to find out what was really cooking between these two as Sanam was also looking at Aahil's retreating back until Seher nudged her. They got into the car and Seher handed everyone a sandwich and coke. Sanam seemed to relax now with Aahil bhai gone, Rehan decided it keep it at that for now and the three of them chatted as they drove to Khan Villa.

Maine sada chaaha yahi... Daaman bacha loon haseenon se main.
Teri kasam khwaabon mein bhi... Bachta fida naazneenon se main.
Tauba magar mil gayi tujhse nazar...Mil gaya dard-e-jigar.
Sun Zara o bekhabar! ❤️

Ibrahim Mansions...

As soon as Aahil got home he stripped off his clothes and got into the shower. The cold water relaxed him as he thought about Sanam. Never had he reacted so badly to a girl just standing before him. He tried to push away all her thoughts but they refused to leave. Aahil gave a frustrated groan. His thoughts about her affected his mind and body. He was attracted to her like never before! He had wanted to make her uncomfortable and here he was at discomfort thinking about her. He took a deep breath. He could not act like this. Both Rehan and Seher's looks on stumbling upon them told him that they definitely misunderstood the situation. He was just attracted to Sanam because she was hot and gave him a challenge thats all! There was nothing more to the story! In fact there was no story! As Aahil stepped out of the shower and dried himself, his phone rang. He looked at the name and groaned! He had a date with Shikha later tonight and for some reason he was not in the mood to go. But how was he to explain that without hearing complaints on the other end. So he shot her a text apologizing using the excuse of a headache and then turned off his phone as quickly as he could. He was tired thats all! He had a few hours before the conference calls so Aahil decided to take a nap. He laid his head on the pillow and tried to close his eyes. But of course sleep was the last thing on his mind!

Zara sa haske jo dekha tune..Main tera bismil ho gaya
Gulaabi aankhen jo teri dekhi...Sharaabi yeh dil ho gaya.
Sambhalo mujhko o mere yaaron... Sambhalna mushkil ho gaya. ❤️

The next morning Khan Villa...

Zoya was humming a small tune as she tried to figure out how much flour to put in the dough for the parathas. Over twenty years and she still could not get it right. Usually she would ask Ammi but she had gone to the grocery and Zoya didn't want to call her for something so little.

"Allah miya! Whats wrong with you dough. Why cant I get this right!" She looked around and sighed. Her Ipad was in her room and she would have to go get it to look up the exact measurement.

"You just need to add a foruth cup more than what you have," a voice said in her ear huskily as her husband grabbed her hand and guided the measuring cup to add a fourth cup more into the mixture.

"Mr. Khan how did you remember! You don't even know how to cook."

"Mrs. Khan aap ka hubby bahut sharp hai. I have seen Ammi place flour up to this mark," he said as he guided her hand to the bowl and started to caress her fingers.

"Mr. Khan we are in the kitchen!"

"Yes we are. The possibilities are endless Mrs. Khan."

"Mr. Khan bacche aa jayenge"

"Aane do."

"Mr. Khan Ammi."

"Ha Mrs. Khan aap unki ammi hai but pehle mere biwi."

"Mr. khan aap ki ammi!"

Asad quickly moved away from Zoya and looked around. His Ammi was nowhere to be seen. He heard Zoya giggle as she ran to the opposite side of the kitchen. Asad leaned against the counter.

"Abhi ke liye aap bach gaye Mrs. Khan" Asad winked as Zoya laughed and pushed him aside to finish kneading the dough. The girls were sleeping late as they celebrated till late night for Sanam's first big presentation and Seher landing her dream job. They both had reached the first step towards their success and Asad could not have been any more proud! His daughters were reaching new heights and he prayed to Allah everyday that they will fulfill all their dreams and get all the happiness they deserved! When the girls came downstairs and Ammi came from the grocery, they all sat down for breakfast. As Asad was shuffling through his papers, he saw an invitation card.

"Yeh kya hai?"

"Yeh Mr. Khan, Gopi bahar se le aaya. Kaha hai ke mailman dekar gaya." Zoya replied. Asad opened the card. It was a wedding card.

"Arre I havn't spoken to him in years! Mrs. Khan aap ko yaad hai humare nikah mein bhi aya tha... Shadaab Quereshi? Mera bahut purana business partner. Unke beti ki nikah hai ek hafte mein aur woh chaate he ke hum saab jaaye."

"Wow Mr. Khan a wedding! That would be so much fun!" Asad looked at his wife who jumped up and down like a small child. Somethings never change!

"I rememeber meeting Aaliyah as a child, you remember Api me and her fought over that doll."

Sanam rolled her eyes and laughed "Yes, and I had go stop you guys. She was a sweet girl. Its nice to know that she is getting married!"

"Omg Api it will be so cool to go to the wedding!"

Zoya took the card from Asad. "Looks like they are booking a palace right in the outskirts of Bhopal. It will be so much fun! Right girls!"

As the women began discussing plans Asad smiled at them.

"But baccho I unfortunately cannot go as Shireen and Ayaan have insisted that I go visit them next week. Nikhat said she wont celebrate her anniversary without me!" Shireen was Asad's step mother but she was a nice lady. After his father's death, his mother bonded very well with her.

"Aww Badi Ammi. Aap ke bina maza nahi aayga!" The girls groaned as Ammi smiled. "Bacho tum log jao aur enjoy karo."

"Theek hai Ammi. Hum aap ko airport chor ke phir car se jayenge. It will be a nice long drive."

"Omg yes Abu that would be so cool. We have so much to do. Shopping, packing food for the car and deciding what to give as a gift! I am so excited!" Seher looked at her father in anticipation as Asad smiled. "Whatever you want!" The girls finished breakfast and went about their day excitedly as Ammi went to her room. Asad looked at Zoya and smiled. This was going to be an exciting family trip.

Wow! I had it bookmarked and used to check on this everyday hoping you would update. 😆 And finally you updated. One of my favourites. Glad you are finally done with your exams. 😊

I didn't have a favourite part...I loved the whole thing. Worth the wait, my dear. Beautiful. My stomach starts to perform intricate back flips with the chemistry that dazzles and sizzles. 😆

He has every elements of a charming hero...a dynamic and human character more complex than any other makes this story so intense and it makes me just want to continue to read it. And you said it was a long part. ;(

Waiting for the next part. Update soon. :)
