Tanveer plays the forbidding mother today. She scolds Aahil for lying and demands he sign the property papers that instant. Aahil smartly lies again. The irritation is plain in his face.
The pen doesn't work. I'll get another one... And walks off to his room. Sanam follows.
At their room, Sanam asks him why he lied. Why are these papers so important to him now?
Signing these papers mean the end of our relationship. Ammi will insist that we divorce after this, she thinks we are only bound by contract.
Now, when our relationship is just beginning...The reluctance is evident in his face, he doesn't want to divorce Sanam. And she sees it.
Sanam soothes him. If we want to stay in this relationship, it's up to us to make it happen. It doesn't mean if Begum Sahiba thinks or wants it to end, it must happen her way.
If we both wanted to be together, do you think anyone can separate us?
Aahil is touched by the sincerity in her voice, clear minded and resolute. His emotions are running deep, Never...
He holds her tenderly, the hug extra special, because it was a resolve to stay together, telling each other divorce wasn't an option. Sanam shyly asks him to finish his sentence from the dhaba plot earlier...
Aahil pretends not to understand... then smilingly How can I forget..?
He holds her, tilts her chin up and says I Love,...
and backs off, saying there's one more surprise left and leaves to get it. Sanam's frustration is very visible. She doesn't want to delay anymore...
Good instincts Sanam... If only...
Aahil tries to sneak out but is found out by Tanveer, who piles on the guilt by the truck load. She says he is ungrateful for all the things that she has done for him, when he murdered his father. I think her saying this out aloud sort of chilled his spine.
I sacrificed my life for you, so you could live your life. But you are getting weak, getting emotional, all because of this girl Sanam.
"Sanam is a regular girl, who might want to live a regular life. Who are you, your riches , status and responsibilities in the society. She is no match for you...You musn't change yourself for anyone"
This argument felt lame to him too, he frowns silently , not impressed by the sentiment. Then she brings out the bazooka gun...
"You don't have to change yourself to suit anyone, or Sanam's idea of a good person. You will never be able to be a good husband. You can't give or take on anything. Fine, you have momentary fancies, but you always tire of them and move to the next one.
" Right now, Sanam feels good to you, you like her. But you'll soon tire and want to be rid of her. You will be responsible for hurting her the most, Aahil..."
Poor Aahil. He's reeling from the blows. He's not being weak, but he's angry, resentful, turbulent.
He walks away after sullenly replying, Yes, Ammi... He's angry, at Begum Sahiba, for ruining his brief moment of happiness. He goes back to a giddy Sanam. She had lit up the room with candles, to prepare for his last surprise. She hugs him warmly, and he freezes, remembering his mother's poisonous words.
He breaks out of her embrace and tells her to put away the candles, that he was sleepy. He left Sanam standing there, confused as to his sudden change in manner.
Aahil is angry, Tanveer has poked him in most painful places very effectively. He needs time, to think it through. We've seen him do this many times, being angry enough to hurt, but always comes around to make it up to her.
But what I fear is, Tanveer is wasting no time. Precap shows her manhandling Sanam, forcing her to sign the papers. The worst thing that could happen is Tanveer getting the signature and getting rid of Sanam before Aahil has the chance to come around and see sense.
Yes, the thunderstorm has begun.
Poor baby Sanam... She's going to be so confused and hurt, and in pain... Please... Oh my heart hurts...
Rahat misses his chance to tell Faiz he loves Haya, as the silly fellow excitedly decides to start preparing for the wedding. Rahat sits dejectedly, Whatever the outcome, I am the Loser... either I lose my brother or Haya...
