I have a freaky story of my own...
My little one is 3, and she's very much like an Energizer bunny, jumping from one sofa to the other all day long. Because she's such a bundle of energy, we have to keep her apart at bed time from brother on school nights. So she and I are in one of the smaller bedrooms, as usual she chirps about Elsa and Anna and Kristoff before suddenly dropping off into sleep.
And I put on my lappie and see what's going on at QH forum...
One night, I was writing an update , and suddenly she starts to laugh in her sleep. Its not her usual giggle, but a cackle, like an adult cackle in a childish voice. It creeped me out.
I yanked her onto my lap and shook her awake. But she wouldn't wake up, just continued to laugh. I was shaking her and patting her back at this point,Wake up baby !! But she doesn't wake, just grins between laughs.
I read every prayer I could think of, just holding her tight and praying. Then she started to cry, still asleep.
I'm scared Mummy...
I felt all kinds of creeped out. I just held her and repeated all the prayers again and again.
Then she opened her eyes and looked at me.
What do I ask a 3 year old when this happens?
Are you okay baby? Is the bad dream gone?
Yes mummy, I'm tired mummy.
And she goes back to sleep.
What the hell just happened?
My husband comes back from his smoke, and looks at me like I've grown horns.
Where's Iron man when I need him?
True story...
