Ruby, Jai and Annie could contain their excitement they were hugging and twirling Zoya around laughing out loud with happiness. 'You guys will you put me down already' Zoya said trying to catch her breath.
'We are so so happy for you Zoya, this is amazing' Ruby said hugging her again one more time 'I know, I can't believe it myself...when he wasn't returning my calls...and didn't come here I was so worried, I didn't know what to think or do...and when I read that card...it was unbelievable...I don't think I can ever do justice to the way I felt'.
'Come on, I think it's time for a song...time to celebrate...Zoya come here...sit and work your magic' Ruby sat Zoya at the piano, she wanted her to sing her heart out to express what she felt with a song that would mark the first day of her and Asad being one.

Jai, Ruby and Annie sat there with goose bumps, her voice reached a new height, they had never heard her sing so beautifully before.
'Zoya...I have no words. If only the world could hear you sing...you would drive it crazy...Ma Sha Allah' Ruby couldn't help the tears that built up as she put her hands together and clapped for her.
Her eyes were not the only that had unshed tears swimming, by the door stood Asad with Mrs Braganza, he had been blown away, there was no describing how he felt, every breath he took every beat his heart beat was filled with upmost love and respect for the girl that stood before him, it almost like he felt a pain that pulled from within, he couldn't believe how lucky he had become. Zoya was his life now and he wanted to make her his no matter what.
Zoya turned around 'he is here' she whispered to Ruby, Ruby looked up and started smiling 'it's like Allah has sent down two of his most beautiful angels and let them become one...I have never seen two people so connected, not only physically or emotionally...Zoya, you and Asad are connected by your souls. You two are definitely made for each other'.
Zoya walked up to him and as she reached him he put his arm around her holding her close by her petite waist. 'Mrs Braganza, would you mind if I take Zoya away for a few hours?' 'Of course, You can have her for the rest of the day, Zoya I will see you tomorrow'.
'Asad where are we going?' 'Two more minutes, we are nearly there...Arif can you park up further there is a private car park'. Asad took her hand into his and started leading her into the building 'wait...are we in a hospital?' Asad stopped and looked back at her 'yes...we are...the distinct smell right?' 'Yes...but what are we doing here...are you ok?' 'I am fine Zoya, I have booked an appointment with Dr. Nigel Han, he is here from the US. One of the best eyes specialists in the word...he is only here for two more days; I wanted him to check...I mean examine you'. Zoya didn't respond she just smiled and carried on following his lead, as much as she loved him for his faith and belief that she would see again, Zoya had no expectations.
Dr Han called Asad in straight away 'Thank you for meeting with us at such short notice Dr Han' 'not at all, I spoke to Dr Malik in Switzerland, one friend I cannot say no to...so tell me how can I help' Asad introduced Zoya and explained her case history 'Zoya has always been blind, but there may have been a chance that she wasn't born blind...I was hoping you could carry out some tests to determine if there is a possibility of her ever seeing'.
Dr Han took Zoya inside 'Mr Khan it will take about half hour to do the test, please make yourself comfortable' 'and the results?' 'I will make sure you leave with the results today...don't worry, I will have my best team working with me'.
After a long 35 minutes Zoya came back outside and sat with Asad 'how did it go?' 'I am not sure, they were using a number of different machines checking my eyes...I guess we will find out soon' Asad entwined his fingers with hers 'it will be ok...I know it will' 'In Sha Allah'.
Dr Han came back into his office with another doctor 'Zoya when was the last time you ever had your eyes checked?' 'I don't think I ever have' she said feeling a little embarrassed. 'Zoya if you had you would have not been living in darkness all this time...Mr Khan, you were right Zoya was not born blind, in her infancy she suffered an injury which most probably was not treated and the effects of her head injury left her blind, this is not something that cannot be rectified, with a number of procedures Zoya will be able to see again...Zoya are you aware of any such injury?' 'I...I know that my parents passed away when I was one...or just over..' 'It was a road accident?' 'Yes' 'that would explain it...but not to worry, we will sort this out for you'.
Asad couldn't help smiling 'really doctor...is that true...?' he asked wanting reconfirmation 'yes it is' Asad turned towards Zoya who was still sitting there in shock 'Zoya...did you hear that...' Zoya turned towards him and placed her head against his shoulder; she closed her eyes and sent up a personal thank you to her creator.
'Mr Khan I would like to carry out the procedure myself, Zoya will need to have a few more pre surgical tests done a few days before the actual surgery' 'How soon will you be able to do it, Dr Han looked through his diary 'not until the first week of August' 'August, but doctor it is only coming up to mid-April now that's ages away' 'it's the only time I have free, I am returning to the US in two days and won't be returning until then...and Asad as much as I trust my team I would want to do this myself'.
Asad was just about to say something when Zoya held his hand 'Dr Han, we can wait, I never thought I would ever be able to see, it's only a matter of a few months...thank you'
Asad cupped the side of her face, he brought his lips to the side of her head and placed a soft kiss 'if you can wait then I will wait with you' he whispered. Zoya felt her body turn ice cold, Asad may have not realised what he had just done but for her it was her first kiss, the first time he had ever touched her in such a way.
