I haven't watched any Gul's show before. IPK yes, I have watched it, but only in tidbits, not religiously, so this is my officially first experience of her. Her shows, I mean. 😆 So far I am loving it. But. As all say, romance is her forte, she is doing awesome in it. He leads never disappoint, she always chooses best never goes wrong in that. But. When we talk about the supporting cast, that is really bad IMO. I am saying only on the basis of this show. Or, I don't know, please enlighten me, if I am wrong in this case, I would be happy :)

Ekta on the other hand has an awesome supporting and side cast. The other characters have so much potential in them. The atmosphere she creates looks so natural. Her leads are no doubt awesome. I have watched her two serials religiously. First was Kutumb, way back in 90s And that experience was quite good. And then Kasauti. My experience of her was best till the mid only. In the end, she RUINED IT BADLY! Ugh.

So I would still prefer Ekta though.

Although, these both ladies lose the track in mid way. I just hope my first experience of Gul doesn't becomes the last and doesn't goes same as Ekta😆

I'm finding it hard to differentiate between any show from any PH, they all start off well and after 2 moths they lose the plot.

I was in awe of Gul Khan because of QH but then she destroyed it in all possible way.. So for destroying story, love story she is as good as Ekta..

Both r excellent in their work
but for me its Gul khan all the way...

My Vote goes to gul coz she has ability to grab audience but ekta is good at first but she spoils story .

My fav Gul shows are IPK and QH. Both have a very special place in my heart.
And my fav Ekta shows are Tere Liye and YHM which is currently on air.

Both have created some extremely memorable couples that have a lot of fans. However, both have ruined their own shows when they lost interest.

I think Gul is slightly better in creating chemistry between her leads and I would say that romance is her forte. Ekta, I would say is better at creating the family drama although she has created good chemistry between leads in her shows as well.

Gul, however, is horrible when it comes to family drama (as evidenced by QH 1).

Ekta is better at managing her actors and multiple shows at a time, whereas Gul can't even manage one show properly and loses interest in her last show when she starts producing a new one.

So in terms of a better producer, Ekta wins by a long shot. However, I think Gul Khan is ace with her story telling.

Therefore, I choose Gul Khan because I haven't been as addicted to the EK shows as much as her shows. Even though she tends to screw up her shows up after the first 6 months, the first 6 months are just too magical and you truly fall in love with her couples. Whereas with Ekta, even though you like her couples, they do not have that "magical factor" that Gul Khan's couples do. She really goes all out and even gives them their own BG tune (which really does enhance their chemistry).

I really think Gul Khan should consider making short drama series (like the Pakistani shows) if she can. I think that would allow her to tell her own story the way she wants with no TRPs to worry about plus she won't have to worry about actors quitting her show as well (since that always happens with her shows).

I haven't seen any GK show except QH so its difficult to say but then in that regard i haven't seen too many EK shows as well except for bits of Kasauti and initial 6 months of badhe Ache.

but now i have been watching KKB and QH together and i cannot help in comparing these two and i feel i would any day prefer GK.. started watching KKB after QH1 ended thinking of following it if i didn't like QH2... but i must say QH 2 is much better.

Ekta's shows are also not bad over all.. but the problem is she starts with good stories and good concepts like in Bade Ache and then looses the originality half way through and then it becomes the typical kitchi and masala... where as in QH1 even when GK lost the originality it still didn't become the typical masala.

And another thing is i feel EK's shows lack in the logic department much more than GK shows.. as an example, in KKB now i can't relate at all to the storyline going on since Abhi and Pragya's marriage... Abhi constantly abuses Pragya, says he is in love with Tanu and will divorce Pragya as soon as his sister and Purab's marriage happens.. so how could Bulbul and Pragya think that they can save Pragya's marriage if Purab marries Aaliy?.. the day that happens Abhi will divorce Pragya and her parents will know about it unless Abhi falls for pragya in the mean time.. that can happen but right now the way bulbul and Pragya thinks is very illogical..( those who are watching it will know). so story wise GK shows are far better and logical.. i am not saying they are completely logical... even in QH 1 there were illogical things but still its better than EK stories.

And then last week i really had to compare the two shows.. because after the bedroom scene in QH where Aahil told Sanam to sleep without dancing on the bed, 3 or 4 nights later there was a similar scene in KKB where pragya tossed and turned on bed similar to the way Sanam did and Abhi told Pragya to sleep.. the two scenes were too similar and i could not help in comparing.. somehow the QH scene won. i don't know whether its the dialogues , the direction or whatever it was, KKB scene lacked the fineness of QH scene... and thats where GK shows excells.. the end product even if its the same thing being done has more quality and more appeal.

Ekta of course has money to spend lavishly and it shows with good side cast and clothes etc.. but even with a limited budget Gul manages to capture attention.. and even in QH 1 all the cast were excellent.. so for me its Gul Khan definitely.. as the only show of ekta which i started watching with interest, bade Ache , i had to stop watching despite liking the leads and their chemistry so much... where as QH i have not missed a single episode.. And even KKB despite liking Abhi and Pragya's chemistry, i don't know how long i can continue to watch it if story goes this way.
