Suddenly the bed isn't big enough for Aahil and Sanam. He turns away from her lap but holds on to her dupatta. While trying to extricate it, he wakes up and finds her very close. They jerk away from each other.
Sanam tries to make sense of what just happened. She tells him about his nightmare and how he thought someone was beating him.
She comes too close to his most horrible secret: his abuse by his father. Understandably, he lashes out, telling her to mind her own business. And she is left wondering how someone can be so mean, yet again.
Yet, when everyone is eagerly waiting for the new moon, he is bewitched by her. Sanam was truly beautiful, the skip in her step, a small smile of anticipation for Eid, beautiful lehenga dress.
Both Aahil and Rehan stood mesmerized by the Chote Begum. Yoon Shabnami was wonderfully used here... (I'll be lying if I said I didn't remember the Eid Jashn from last year ... huhuhuuu!)
Careful Aahil miyan, the love is shining from your eyes these days. Even as you deny it, your eyes call to her for all to see... Be still my heart! Aahil looks so besotted, it's looking a little obvious to Rehan too now.
Sanam has eyes only for Aahil. Did you guys notice that?? How gorgeous they both looked.
The brothers share a wary hug, no less in best wishes but a slight distance in warmth. The previous day's words hung between them: You shouldn't have married her. I am very hurt by all this. But there is a small smile on Rehan's face, lovely chap. He just can't hate his Aahil bhai.
They are distracted by Lateef's cacophonic exclamation of how Sanam's new bangles are unworthy of the Chote Begum. Sanam searches Aahil's eyes, I'm sorry I thought these were a gift from you. Aahil looks away, slightly embarrassed maybe, that he didn't think of gifting her any.
But the bangles won't come off. Rehan watches with his heart in his eyes, as Lateef yanks the bangles off, hurting Sanam. He turns away, unable to watch.
It is Aahil who slowly walks up to Sanam, slowly but surely removes the bangles from her hands, holding her gaze the entire time. And puts on his choice of bangles for her.
it felt like a territorial gesture. She is my wife, she will wear the bangles i give her... (*grumbles*although it was all bought by Begum Sahiba)... and Rehan watches from far away. I think he knows now his chances have flown with the wind.
Chand is also being sought out at Khan Villa, where Rahat and Faiz both watch over Haya... Rahat shyly holds a pair of bangles for Haya. But sneaky little brother snatches it and gives it to her instead. Faiz looks like he's crushing on Haya, meanwhile Rahat is dying to confess his love. Meanwhile Muneesa and random biatch-y friend plot against her.
Tanveer is on the phone...
what the heck just happened??
Did Tanveer just invite Razia to come to the Jashn HERSELF !? And Razia looks like she has been bent to subservience to Begum Sahiba... Although her body language screams vengeance and hate. Her words coldly acknowledge Tanveer of higher social status, grudgingly respectful.
This goes way back to QH1... When Razia insults her young apprentice Tanveer as a lowly bazaar woman, unsuitable for company of cultured women. And that was when Tanveer vowed to turn the tables, if it was the last thing she ever did.
Bring it on: Kameeni vs Kameeni (like Darth Vader vs Sith Emperor Lord Sidious)
Hubby dear? Any bangles for me? *hinthint*
