Is killing the leads a new trend in daily soaps?

First in madhubala leads RK & madhubala died & there daughter Madhu's story started
Then in QH asya was murdered & there daughter sanam continued the story
In pyaar ka daard lead Pankhuri died & a girl similar to her named Ayesha entred in Hero's life
In tumari paakhi hero Anshuman was murdered & his twin brother entered
In rangrazia heroine paro died & a girl similar to her named Myra entered
Now there are spoilers saying that Saras in saraswathichandra is going to die & a new guy to enter in heroines life.
So I guess it's a new trend now to kill the leads of the show

this trend was always there in Indian television🤣

Asad 2 was a big hit ? no so they had to kill him off to bring new characters..🥱
its good ppl r enjoying new cast
im talking generally..
in indian television at a point the writers have nothing to show so they kill everyone

Yes in Saraswatichandra, they say they are going to kill Saras and bring a new man. I am super mad about this! I don't think most of the audience will accept this! So your right. It has worked for QH. But this is the exception, not the norm!

Indeed the leap is not working & trps had gone down
Not a viwer of madhubala but heard that the show is ending in this month as there also the leap is not very promising like before it use to be
I guess rangrazia has just took the leap so results are yet to know
In saraswartichandra I don't know why they are killing Saras even the show is in his name
After death what they r planning to do? Investigation of his death?

Indeed but if you see in the last 3 months most of the famous shows took a leap with the death of at least one lead
