Ahil, Ahil, oh Ahil! His quandary is poetic, truly.

Ahil knows he loves Sanam. Does he understand why? Not yet! He is so baffled by his own feelings and the actor portrays that so well. If one sees Ahil with Sanam, one can see that despite his love for her, he is always confused about why he loves HER. He is always confounded as to why HER? And HOW her? Except, when he looks into her eyes and professes in front of all, and mostly, professes to himself once and for all, the reasons she made him so crazy about her. The truth was out and even he didn't realize how he uttered it so easily. All it took, was one hard look into her eyes and it was that easy for him to spill his heart out to her. Now we understand why he tries so hard to be mean to her, to not talk to her directly gazing into her eyes, to avoid her. Because one glance into her eyes and he is at the mercy of his heart, which unlike him, knows no bounds. Today's scene was such a wonderful look into Ahil. Did even we know that he had his heart onto her right from the time he met her at her dhaba? Ahil, you sly. You had fallen for that fiery girl even while lighting up her livelihood in flames. This is no marshmallow and rainbow love story. This story has had a burnt beginning and when all the stories of their legacies unfold, it's going to be an intense, yet passionate story. I can only hope Gul does full justice to Ahil, Sanam, Tanveer and the legacy of Asad and Zoya. The way she butchered them, it's only fitting for viewers that she gets this story to a full circle.
Sanam, looked into his eyes and could see the truth so clearly, that it baffled her. She didn't understand how she felt about him confessing his love for her. Ahil, the man who has literally turned her life upside down, has wiped out her dreams, has tormented her, challenged her self respect, treated her like a servant, questioned her ideals, put her through so much pain, and yet, she is drawn to him in a way she cannot comprehend. She wants to believe his words, she wants that glimmer of hope that beneath all that hatred is the love she craves. She doesn't know how she would feel if this was really the truth. Can she handle the man she outwardly hates to be in love with her? For Sanam, Ahil is an enigma she cannot get her head around. He does everything to make her hate him. And yet, she cannot get her heart to. She knows when she is in trouble, he will come to save her. It was that one night where he saved her, stuck by her through the night, calmed her fears, and showed her his true concern for her. That night changed everything for the both of them. Ahil knows it did, Sanam is yet to gauge that realization. She wanted to hang on to his words today, and that's why when they entered the room, her hand was still locked in his arm. She didn't move it away as soon as they were away from the family. She was still reeling under the effect of his words, still wondering about the evident truth she could see in his eyes for every word he spoke. Was she silently hoping it was all true?

Ahil sensed that he may have shown her a glimpse into his heart and knew he had been swayed by emotion. He had to shatter that hope once again and so he made sure to let her know he meant nothing. Rude shock for both of them. He was trying to convince himself more than her that he felt nothing for her, and she was awoken to the reality that there was no hope in this relationship and Ahil, was well, Jallad Jin once again. And when Sanam had had enough of his berating, she gave him back by saying she is going to sleep in HER room. And once again, he knew why he had fallen for this one. Every time she gives it back to him, he falls harder. But Ahil has taken it upon him to not be ruled by his heart and hence he goes back to his Jallad Jin days and orders her to sleep in the room in such a commanding way that even fiesty Sanam gives in without a word.

Sanam has glimpses of both Asad and Zoya in her. I am glad she has more of Asad, because Sanam falling in love with Ahil and realizing it is going to be one hell of a long journey. It is going to take something drastic for her to realize she has fallen in love with him, which means an intense sequence like the Mangalpur trip for Asad and Zoya. ( probably one of my favorite bits of them) Although, one could see Asad's apparent concern for Zoya from the very beginning that she saved her from the goons. But, right now Sanam has so much Zoya in her. She is as blind to Ahil's feelings as Zoya was to Asad's burning stares at her. Like Zoya, Sanam is ignorant and believes more in seeing things for face value. And just like her mother, knows how to ignore harsh words and move on. Which is what we see on the next day sequence where she wakes up and sweetly tells Ahil to come for sehri and then proceeds to help him out with his stuff ( despite how rudely he let her sleep without a blanket and with no concern) I wish they had shown Ahil putting the blanket onto Sanam at night, because he loves her. He can behave like he wants with her to put on a facade, but his concern for her should shine through in such moments. Instead, he slept with his blanket and no concern.

Asad and Zoya were an out and out love story and the external strings of the abbu track and Tanveer were added to take the story further. Ahil and Sanam have a story beneath their love story and the strings that they are bound in are so horrifically entangled, it will be a delight to see how they take their relationship through these ties.

Rehaan, is already developing a grey shade. His hope that Sanam will be his after 3 months is the hope of a sightless lover. He does not weigh the stones before him. Little does he know that 3 months are enough for two people who live under one roof to fall in love. He has hope his Ahil bhaijaan would give him Sanam back as she was. But does he realize that Sanam will have changed so much in 3 months, she may not want to leave Ahil? Poor Rehaan is living in a distorted vision of post 3 months that his ammi mollycoddled him to beleive. He is in for a dhoka on all fronts, from ammi and from Ahil-Sanam. But it will be amazing to watch Rehaan turn bad. Nothing like a villain with good looks :P And who better to kill Tanveer than her own son? Any more fitting end to her?

Razia is going to be back and I cannot be more excited. I want Gul to first play out the whole falling in love track with Ahil and Sanam and only when they are so irrevocably in love, she should play her trump card of the story unfolding before them.

Sanam dear, now it's time for you to start showing your thoughts and feelings about your new shauhar. We've had a glimpse of Ahil's heart, now let's have a look into yours.

P.S - Surbhi looked gorgeous in the red lehenga. I like the new look they have given her and I hope they stick to this for her. Asad would be a proud father. I hope Seher gets to be in a modern avatar like her mom Zoya. It will be stupid to show mom having been a new york return modern girl and not even one daughter to carry on that zesty, modern and chic legacy. :)

Amazing post.
Yup it was cute to see ahil pouring his heart out in front of sanam just because of a simple glance Into her eyes. Ahil has definitely gone crazy in his biwi love and he is such a gentleman. I mean he knows that his wife does not love him and so he did not even praise or talk to her sweetly because of that. He definitely proved that love is not just meant to be together but to be happy in ur love happiness. Also his concern toward rehaan is really sweet. I mean if anyone knows that another person loves there wife would get angry but this guy ahil does not even talk to his wife directly in front of him on purpose like dinning table scene after marriage. Sanam soon needs to wake up. Two guyz love her and she does not know about anything. I guess she just ignores the little sweet moments both gyz try to share with her. Hope she falls in love with ahil soon. Can't wait to see there scenes after confession. Razia is finally coming back. Hope both razia and seher r positive as we already have tanveer. If all three tanveer, razia and seher plot to separate sahil I do not know how there love story is going to move ahead. I do not at all want rehaan to turn negative. But if he does than I hope the storyline still rock..

That's such a true statement you made there. That is what's so heart wrenching about Ahil's situation. Even if in the future Sanam confesses her love for him, will he ever be able to reciprocate knowing Rehaan's heart. In that sense, Rehaan will have to turn negative, because only that will justify Ahil openly accepting Sanam as his wife and proclaiming his love to her.

Cannot wait to see their story move forward now. Hope Razia is a catalyst in bringing them closer before she lets the big cat out of the bag, the one that will single handedly destroy everything they've known about the people they love.

Beautiful post, I also felt today that Sanam was affected by Aahil, for a moment she thought whatever he said is all real, or could be that she wanted it to be real, when he talked about their honeymoon, there was a small Shy smile she had, that was so lovely, One could see she was disappointed to see change in Aahil, as if she wanted all of what he said to be true, even though she hates him and he is always rude in front of her, for that moment she was shocked and happy when he said, " Pata hi nahi chala lab mohabbat ho geye" I am sure later she is going to think about what he said, I really hope she does that. When Aahil was talking about her, one could feel he was speaking the truth, his eyes speaking all the truth, one could see how much he loves her, I really wish they show that later she thinks about it.. Also when they had that comforter fight on their bed, the way he told her not to turn and toss, she was clearly affected,😳 one could see how shocked he she was, the way she agreed one could feel she was totally affected by his closeness.😊. Loved the way Surbhi and Kv are putting so much efforts in their characters, they really make Sanam and Aahil real for us, they do have an amazing chemistry, .Awesome performance.. I am glad they chose KV for this role, I do not think anyone could play his character the way he is playing it. I am madly in love with Sahil.

Thanks for the kind comments fanraya! :)

You have penned down very well the exact moments one could see the tiny glimmer of hope in Sanam's eyes. She doesn't realize it yet, but somewhere down in the depths of her heart, she sincerely hopes that Ahil loves her.

On the forefront, Rehaan would make the perfect sense for Sanam. He is down to earth, simple and sober in his nature and behavior. As well as mature for his age and loves Sanam in a passive, silent, yet unconditional and absolute way. He is the dependable guy. But for the independent, fiery, tenacious and gutsy Sanam, only an intense, eccentric, troubled, yet tough Ahil would make perfect sense. Rehaan is a silent support for Sanam who can protect her only with his words. Ahil will move mountains for his love. That is the difference. It's not that Rehaan's love is any lesser, only that, for the girl Sanam is, Ahil is the right equal. Rehaan may be overshadowed by her personality. Only Ahil can match up to her fiery persona. And their destinies have a role in getting them together. Both have been wronged by the same person. Both are tied to her in a way that they think the world of her. To have that patch of betrayal lifted is going to be traumatic, much more for Ahil than for Sanam. And that is why they need to be together to not only fight the evil that changed their destinies, but also to heal each other and be the tough shoulder they will need when all this unfolds. Rehaan, while a pawn in Tanveer's game, cannot fathom the loss that Ahil and Sanam have had to bear because of his mother. Only Sanam and Ahil can understand each other's pain.

I agree on the actor and actress doing very well to portray their roles to perfection. I like that besides the intensity that the last few episodes commanded, today they were back to playing the cat and mouse game in their own way. The little bit of comic relief was much needed :)

Love your analysis of the characters.
Aahil is a damaged soul surrounded by opportunists. He is very lonely and starved of affection. He's been a playboy but only with girls who play up to him. He's never been impressed by a girl before, especially one who doesn't think much of him.
The need to woo a girl is alien to him. He just wants and therefore he should get.
That's why Sanam is the perfect girl for him. She had a difficult childhood of hardship but filled with love. And he, a childhood of luxury but filled with loneliness and guilt.
Sanam is disillusioned by her bad luck, nothing came easy to her. Aahil is disillusioned with love, he is suspicious of it, he believes he is undeserving of it.

Such a long post but i loved reafing each n every word... I totally agree with u... Aahil just look into sanam's eyes once n he just cannot hold hikself back... His so hopelessly in love .. Haaye im loving it... N loved sanam's dazed n confused looks.. When he said "vo jo buht khoobsurat hai" the way she instantly looked up thinking that is she really hearing it from aahil.. N yeah ... He went back to jallad jin mode cz thats the only way he can keep his feelings in control ..
Even i was wishing k aahil shud hv given the blanket while sanam was asleep.. N it wud hv been such a beatiful scene when sanam would get up n wondered about the blanket.. But alas😭 anyways we did get consollation in shape of much more beautiful scene Aahil waking up to watch sanam offering prayers.. It was one of the most beautifully written n portrayed scenes... Just in love with it.. It was surreal ...
I love the positivity of Aahil's character...he is not hati g rehan for loving his life.. N despite all the promises he has made with himself abour hating sanam so much.. He hasnt gone the abusive or insulting way yeah he do mildly insult her sometimes but dats forgivable because the love he showers on her just through his gaze makes up more than enough
