Episode 1/17

The entire siddiqui house seems to be covered in darkness on account of the sudden power cut in the area... shireen carefully makes her way to the drawer and frantically starts searching for a candle... in the darkness of the room...she soon finds a candle and lighting it, she carefully heads towards the kitchen...the kitchen seems to be partly lit by a candle and two people appear to be standing near it with their back towards shireen...before she can inquire she recognizes razia's voice and is dumbstruck to hear razia desperately pleading before haider to leave the knife for god sake but haider pointing the knife at razia strongly refuses and insists that he wont leave it till his work is finished...scared that razia's life may be in danger shireen frantically runs outside to get help and accidently collides into humaira...on seeing humaira she hugs her tightly humaira saying that she is glad that atleast she is safe...humaira gets worried and tries to calm her down...but shireen in an alarmed tone tells her that her mother's life is in danger ...humaira is horrified...she asks her what is she talking about...pointing towards the kitchen ...shireen says that it's the guest...he is threatening your mother with a knife...humaira is taken aback...beads of sweat appear on her forehead...she asks anxiously if she is sure about it...shireen says that she doesn't have an iota of doubt about it and that they must quickly do something about it...besides that killer has chosen the perfect time to carry out his plan since no man is in the house and she had read in the morning newspaper about a conman who dupes people by feigning to be an acquaintance and then kills everyone and plunders the house...humaira tells her that may be she is mistaken as her dad and uncle did recognized him...shireen reminds her that they only believed what he told them ...what proof do they have ...besides she herself was taken in by his lie but to think of how he entered humaira's room like a thief in the middle of the night...and now witnessing him in action ...she had no doubt...humaira is tensed and suggests calling in the police...but shireen stops her and says that they are running short of time and they must try to save razia's life ...humaira nervously assents...saying so...both of them walking hand in hand head towards the kitchen...humaira is shocked to view the silhouette of a man with a knife raised in his hand...humaira scaredly holds shireen's hand while shireen asking her to stay back picks up a pan from the counter and with careful steps goes near the person to strike him from behind

just then... a hand rests on humaira's shoulder ...humaira is baffled and with shivering hands pushes the hand away with a jerk...as humaira turns around ...she sees haider leaning towards her...smilingly looking into her eyes while razia walks behind with a candle...seeing razia approach them...haider corrects his position..while humaira grasping the change in the situation quickly runs in time to stop shireen... just at that moment... the lights return and shireen freezes on seeing the man turn...it being none other than Rashid... seeing his wife aiming the pan towards him he is shocked while razia and haider look on with their mouths opened...humaira places her hand on her heart and breathes a deep sigh of relief.

Later they all have a hearty laugh at the dining table... as razia reprimands shireen for acting so callously without thinking... shireen apologizes but asks her as to why was she pleading to haider and why was he aiming the knife at her...razia looks at haider and both break into a laugh... haider makes her understand that it was simple he had gone into the kitchen to cook a meal and when razia saw her cutting the vegetables she protested and he in turn said that he wasn't gonna hear a word and would stop only when he finished...perhaps shireen might have listened into the latter half of it and conjectured the things on her own...Rashid apologizes to razia and haider on shireen's behalf...but when shireen asks him when did he get in the kitchen...Rashid replies that while razia and haider were working in the kitchen he too joined in to help them...but since razia needed some stuff from the storehouse haider insisted on helping her, while he stayed back to cut the veggies...and the rest was history..ashamed at her miscalculation she apologizes to Rashid...who shakes his head in amazement at her naivity... Razia scolds her by saying that it was bound to happen...and was a result of the detective series that she keeps on watching all the time...as all share a hearty laugh...shireen too joins in...laughing at her stupidity. ..Haider smilingly turns around and manages to catch in time a slight smile break on humaira's lips...
