Is this how people drive?

I want to know if this is really how people drive in India...that they see a person crossing the road or on the road and they blast their horns at them and if they don't listen they run them over? 😲

This is the 2nd time this has happened with Haya. That truck driver was just not willing to stop. 😲

And poor Rahat's wife was killed...again by a car that didn't stop for a pedestrian.

I live in the US...so just trying to understand...are the CVs just being dramatic...or is this really how it is? 😳

I don't know much either buddy,

I've grown up more in the west, so I really hope nothing such as that takes place there

The answer is half the time yes.
But unlike the US, in India honking is done to alert the people on road.
The speed is barely 35 miles an hour and so it usually gives ample time to cross the road.
people cross railway tracks also just before the train arrives.

Thanks for answering my question šŸ¤—

I guess each place is different...and both vehicle and pedestrian traffic learn to adapt.

But they make it look so dramatic in the serial šŸ˜†

@ bold: 😲...that's just begging for trouble.

Yes...I guess it wouldn't have sat well with the heroine if the hero had ran over her sister with his car šŸ˜†
