Gul Khan: It's true we have been going through a financial crunch
Qubool Hai has been one of the top running shows in the TRP race. However, when Karan Singh Grover pulled out of the daily soap and the makers brought in Raqesh Vashisth, numbers dropped drastically. No amount of twists and turns worked in its favour.
A few months back, the producers - Four Lions Films took a 22-year leap and rop...ed in Karanvir Bohra to play the new lead opposite Surbhi Jyoti. Numbers started going up again and fans are happy to see the chemistry between the two actors.
Recently, we heard rumours about the production house not being able to pay the cast and crew of the Zee show. Karanvir Bohra in an interview said that these were baseless rumours. So we got in touch with Gul Khan to confirm the story. She said, "Yes it's true that we have been going through a financial crunch. However, Four Lions Films has now tied up with a funding partner, who will take care of all the finances."
So does that mean everyone will get their due payments from now on? "Yes, all the monetary crisis will be solved. Let's hope everything gets back on track soon. We have already launched a new show on Channel V - O Gujaria. We are also in talks with Sony TV for another show, which will go on air soon."
So will Harshad Chopra be playing the lead in the show? "Well we are in talks with the actor for a show. Nothing has been confirmed as yet," added Gul. Looks like Four Lions Films are extremely busy with their current and upcoming shows. Let's hope they continue to keep entertaining us.
