A huge huge huge thank you to all my loyal readers. It's only because of you I have made it to the third thread of this story.

Just a short update for now but the next update will be a little bit longer 😆

Chapter 15 Moving on "Please Humeira! Do this for me only once! I promise it won't get you into any trouble." Ayaan pleaded but Humeira showed no signs of giving in to what he was saying. "No Ayaan. I'm not doing anything you're saying. Remember last time we almost ended up in a cell because of what you did? And what did you say I promise we won't get into any trouble'. Just leave me alone because I won't do anything of that sort for you." She retaliated. "What the hell Humeira. Not like I'm asking you for a billion dollars. It's just about getting that witches signatures on a few papers. Please. I'm willing to do anything just to get this work done." "Anything?" "Yes. I'll do anything. Just order." "Think about it. Don't agree to all conditions if you won't be able to fulfil your promise." "I'm doing this to save someone's life. I agree to all conditions but you have to get this done first before you start ordering me around. Deal?" "Deal. Give me the papers and take me to whoever signatures you need." "Slow down there tiger. There are a few precautions. Don't just rush and this time you might end up being the reason we land in a mess." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ *Knock! Knock!* "Good afternoon. I'm looking for Mrs. Khan" Humeira said with a smile as soon as the door was opened. "And who are you?" "Imran baby; who's at the door disturbing our sweet afternoon delight?" Tanveer walked out of the room with a bedsheet wrapped around her bare body. "Hello. You must be Mrs. Khan." How disgraceful. I feel like strangling her right at this moment. "Yes I am. How may I help you?" "I'm Misbah Sheikh. Mr Khan's lawyer." "What charges has he pressed against me now? I was away for a whole week and left him in peace. What does he want now?" "You are mistaken Mrs. Khan. My client has sent me here to get a few signatures from you on some important legal documents." "If they're divorce papers then you may see yourself out the door because I won't be divorcing him at anytime in this life." "You are mistaken again Mrs. Khan. He would like to transfer 60% of his property into your name." Without a second thought, Tanveer snatched the papers from Humeira's hands and signed them without reading. "Tell your client if he keeps cooperating with me in this manner then his mother may live longer than expected. You may leave now." She didn't even ask me if I would like to sit down and have some water. No manners at all. I hope she gets herpes from kissing this moron. Imbeciles they both are. Humeira walked out of the house and banged the door shut. I should have broken it. Gosh! Ayaan will definitely pay for this. But first I should give him the good news. He better pick up the phone. "Hello my sugar dumpling" "What is so important about these papers? You never answer my calls this fast when I want to talk to you. I wonder who is important in your life other than me." "There is someone more important than you in my life Humeira and I will introduce you to him very soon. This is another promise I'm making." "I trust you Ayaan and I know you won't do anything which will separate us. Anyway forget the emotional talks. I have some good news." "Did she sign the papers?" "She signed the papers without even reading them. What an idiot." Humeira let out a small chuckle. "Thank God she didn't read the papers. I'm waiting outside your house Humeira. Come and meet me." "I'm on my way. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ It's Monday tomorrow. Back to work & I'll have to face Asad whether I want to or not. What sort of quandary is this? I always manage to land into some sort of puddle wherever I am. Dad is right; I'm a hopeless case and nothing can be done about me. If I choose to resign; he'll call me a failure. What to do? Zoya lay in bed and thought about what to do. Everything she thought off led her to a dead end and left her no other option than to go back to work and face her problems. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "Thank you so much Ayaan. You've done me a huge favour." Asad hugged Ayaan with tears in his eyes and a smile of gratitude. "Anytime bro. Time for the next part of the plan." Ayaan grinned in excitement. "Before moving onto the next part of the plan there are some problems I have to sort out." Asad looked lost in his own reverie. All he could think about was how to apologize to Zoya so everything can get back to how it was before. It's finally Monday tomorrow. I have to think of a way to mollify Zoya; otherwise she might think I've forgotten about her. But prior to that; she has to come to office first even though she'll dread the whole day. Asad was thinking of ways to make Zoya go to office even if she doesn't talk to him; at least she'll be around him. "What problem now? You've always got something on your mind. I hope it's nothing that will involve Humeira otherwise I'm dead. Speaking of Humeira; I want to introduce you to her." "Not now Ayaan, I have more important things to take care of. You head back home and I'll see you tomorrow at work." The moment Ayaan walked out; Asad pondered over the current situation between Zoya and himself. It felt like eons later when he decided to call her. "Asad I don't want to talk to you." Zoya spoke with no emotion in her voice. "It's Mr. Khan not Asad. I called to remind you that there is an important meeting tomorrow and I want you there Miss Farooqui. Feels like I'm your PA and you're my boss. Be on time. Goodnight." "Bu--..." Asad had disconnected the call before she could say anything. I get it now. He chose Tanveer over me. I was expecting too much from him. Zoya you have to move on. Even if you can't forget what happened you just have to move on because the truth is that no one even cares if you're hurting. Was I too rude? I shouldn't have spoken to her that way. I wonder what she's thinking now. I had no other option. It's the only way I could make her come to work. Precap: Zoya is taken to the hospital.
