I am a Muslim but it makes me cringe when I hear or read comments about the show being non-Islamic and how it is projecting Muslims in a negative light. Since when is this show representing the entire Muslim community? And the last time I checked, the show was never supposed to be about religion. The characters are Muslim but that's about it.

But it kinda surprises me that people would want to see perfect Muslims in a daily soap. If we had pious and squeaky clean characters, who's gonna watch it anyway? 😆 If some people want to learn about Islam, the last person they should look up for is Gul Khan. It's not her job.

Having said that, people who are offended by what is showing in QH are perhaps not well acquainted with realities of life. Some non-Muslims do consume alcohol, they do have sex before marriage and they do cheat...the list goes on because at the end of the day, they are human too! None of us are the epitome of perfection.

Personally I think religion and entertainment should not be mixed here. People should enjoy QH if they want to and those that don't like what is being shown, well just don't watch it...simple. But I'm not one to go into what is haraam and what isn't because frankly speaking, hum sab gunegaar hai...including me! I'm a spiritual person..just keep my beliefs between me and God. But I can't understand why every action taken by a fictional character can be scrutinised in such fashion. Mind boggling. If we wanna improve ourselves - good. Why ask the same of people that don't actually exist in the real world?

Good post.

Thanks a lot :)

using Muslim names, using word Nikah n Qubool hai,, doesn't guarantees that this show is presenting Islam n Muslims...to learn Islam we have a million and one better ways,, an
its just a show... and CV's n PH would show anything to just get the attention, and to execute their ideas..,
shows are watched fah entertainment...feel watching it,, do... if no then ignorance isa best idea...

on the other post... well am a Pure Ksg fan,,
buh God knows am not a big fan of idea of bringing KSG back, (who would want em to be back after this disgust n sacking agenda) nor i want this show to end,, all these people who were pissed off the Asad Ahmed Khan and draggy story have full right to enjoy the show...

the ASYA's essence is gone... KABHI have moved ON...happy in their own lives,, QH has also moved ON... why i would just glue to the place,,
and at the End of the day,, it was show only,,

and yah while talking bout Freedom of expression,, don't know why people forget that you are not the only human born on planet earth,,
all the people who are part of the #RespectforKSG, also hasve gotten same right as yours,, they are doing the think, they feel is better,, YOU may work on the principle of Ignorance,, but why...
AFTERALL I HAVE GOTTEN A TOOL FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION-PATENTED FAH ME ONLY...

I'm glad you brought this to light because after Rivs post yesterday whilst reading some comments I realised how important it was for someone to make a post like this and who better than YOU! Its about time people realise that Qubool Hai is anything but a religious program. Quite frankly if you want to learn about Islam you should watch a religious program not a drama based on fiction.

All the points you have brought up are clear and consise. So if still people are finding it hard to understand then they simply just need to change the channel and stop complaining.

Once again amazing post Amber! You rock 🤗

Thank You Nisu <3. 🤗

The problem is Islam is a very touchy religion!

Me being a Muslim ( yes I do watch tv and listen to music), but I hate it when they're showing a religion like this.

Whatever you listed I completely agree cause in Islam murdering someone, sleeping with someone, or even leaving a woman while she is pregnant is considered Haram ( illegal or bad).

When the first time I saw the promo of Zoya defending her friend over the bike situation, I thought they would show real problems of Muslims girls in India and even America.

They indeed targeted some issues but never handled them right.

Ino that about 99% of the Indian soaps revolve around love and romance but they could've kept religion in mind and showed love and romance, but I know no one would like that. Even me.

So I agree that you are hundred percent on How Qubool Hai should've never aired.

God, such a long post. 😆 Plus I typed from my phone LOL.

If we go by that logic we wouldn't have any soaps :(
