The issue here is the butchering of Asad's character This is not the way he had started his journey in QH ...he the man of tehzeeb .Love can not reduce a man to a wimp can it ? This was shown earlier too when Zoya does all her tricks to force him to untidy his room and eat in a messy manner .That too was OTT I thought ...but survived as Karan was there at that time . No wonder he wanted to leave !

I have seen this in the only other serial I watched recently ..Kuchh toh log kahenge . There too after Mohnish Bahl had crafted the character of Ashu so beautifully it was slaughtered similiarly by the female lead. A celebrity senior surgeon was made to look a buffoon ...dragged against his will to a pub, gifted a bottle of hair dye , reading glasses.etc etc. MB had quit too refusing to cater to this ridicule.

Indian soaps are obviously catering to women protagonists and thus the female leads have to be shown the leaders at all cost.Even at the expense of killing the characters and the story beyond recognition.

Well I just wanted to address your last query about the bachelor's party. Actually since you aren't watching I thought to tell you that the actual sequence hasn't even shown on television, so it's a little early to judge it.

The only scene leading up to this shown so far is Asad agreeing to the party. That too right after a conversation with Haider about taking revenge on the girls for making life difficult for them despite their attempts to apologize to them. Logically then, I think the party is merely for Asad and Haider to carry out their plan, not so much to do with Asad's character, but just for some light-hearted moments. Don't see what's so wrong with that.

Yes I do believe that KSG or any other actor including RV would have issues with being reduced to wimps.But there is not much they can do when bound by a contract as RV must be discovering now . Think here of Surbhi who contributed in no small measure to bring QH to its heights ...she being a newcomer would just have to toe the Zee line..even her IV sound false and scripted. She would have a longer contract of course( I wonder if anyone knows till when Zee can make her dance to their tune) Karan being senior was able to get by with a one year contract. But while restricted by it he would have perforce slapped,traded or done whatever Zee wanted.
There is no doubt in my mind that his raising his objections once free of the contract was the sole reason for his unceremonious ouster. In all his IV he comes across as a very straightforward man and has always shown the courage to walk the talk.
It is crystal clear that Gul too is being bullied by Zee here. This was her dream show and it must be traumatic for her to see it being slaughtered beyond repair.
But does Zee care ? Obviously not ...for no one ...least of all its viewers. And they preach Vasudeva Kutumbakam !!!!
