It was absolutely lovely to read this chapter. The longing and hope of moving on from the silent treatment phase, it had to happen eventually, but this was perfect. Right from Zoe's stubborn guy, to Asad's quiet, in the background, online ticketing while others panicked, to the airport ride, to Asad's attempt to drive to Mumbai all the way from Bhopal. All of it. Every word is in place, it all fits.
Finally when Asad gets there in time for Mahek, the family all together, welcomes their youngest addition, who is a reflection of them all, and each one of them search and find it in their own subtle way. The simple joy and promise of sharing a beautiful future together trumps all the idiosyncrasies of them as individuals, they become a unit with Mahek. Asad and Zoe in midst of it all share the conclusion of their cold war, that only they know. They are AsYa in their way, even together, in between all of it. Their essence is untouched.
I really like how Anwar and Zeenat were potrayed through Zoe's vision, it was beautiful, it just goes to show how aware she is of how love is meant to be. She, of all of them has the realization of how rare and special it is. The hope of finding the same is probably not even a thought in her mind at this point.
Asad with Mahek was lovely, dimples to padenge. 😆
This chapter is special, AsYa wala special. 🤗
And your consistency is as always, steady , when you write a story, each chapter seems better than last, always. And this one just proves it again.
