CHAPTER TWENTY ONE :
Zoya tried to come out of his grip but he didn't let her go at all. Finally she looked at Ayat's funny face and looked back at Asad who was smiling still.
'Ami --- umm --- actually.' He started explaining while Zoya groaned in frustration at these words.
'Its ok Asad. I don't need any explaination.' Dilshad smiled and walked upstairs to her room while Asad winked at Ayat who was still looking at them and she finally came out of the shock.
'Abu what are you doing with my ami ?' She asked annoyingly while Zoya looked away and tried to control her laughter.
'Acutally I am kidnapping your ami for a night. Can I ?' He asked her mischievously to irritate her.
'Kidlapping ? No way ! Ami come here.' Ayat started protesting while Zoya glared at Asad angrily.
'Stop making fun of my daughter.' Zoya said angrily while Asad took a deep breath.
'Ok fine.' He huffed in annoyance. 'Shonuu I am just kidding. She is not feeling well and come with me I have to tell you something.' He said to change the topic and turned toward the stairs.
'Another shurprise ?' She asked excitedly while walking after him. 'Come Shnowball abu has got another shurprise for us.' Ayat said to her cat and she also walked with all of them while Asad walked up the stairs and waited for Ayat to come.
'Asad let me go and pick Shona. What if she falls down ?' Zoya asked annoyingly while looking at Ayat who was using her hands to walk upstairs faster.
'No she won't fall. She is my daughter, its not in her genes. Look how perfectly she is doing it.' He said proudly not forgetting to taunt Zoya about her walking skills while Zoya ignorred what he said and focused on Ayat.
'Haaaww abu sho many shtairs.' Ayat said as soon as she came up toward him and took a deep breath.
'Sweety its because the house is haunted. Its one of the qualities of a haunted house.' He said sarcastically while Zoya tried to stand up.
'Ya true.' Ayat agreed with him while walking toward his room behind him.
'Here you go. Now don't move from here.' He said while making her sit on the bed finally.
'Yesh ami don't move. You are not feeling well.' Ayat said while jumping on the bed beside her while Asad walked toward the washroom to change.
'Shnowball go and bring my doctorsh kit.' Ayat ordered her and the cat ran running toward her room and came back with a small bag stuck in her mouth while Zoya was impressed with the cat.
'What have you done with her ?' Zoya asked Ayat and she smiled happily while making the cat sit beside her.
'Me and Daadi got alot of cat food for her and she ate it happily. After that she is following all my ordersh.' Ayat told her happily while Zoya giggled at her smartness.
'Ami don't laugh and open your mouth.' Ayat said to her and Zoya followed enjoying this stupid game. She kept a fake thermometer inside her mouth and told her to stay quiet. Asad came out of the washroom and smiled when he saw all that.
'Shona you want me to buy you a real kit ? Then you can insert a real injection inside your mother.' He said while sitting on the couch near them while Zoya's eyes opened up wide in shock.
'Yesh ofcourse.' Ayat said excitedly while Zoya threw the thermometer away and sat straight.
'Allah Miyaan ! What's wrong with you Asad ? You think its funny ? What if she really tries to do something stupid like that.' Zoya asked annoyingly.
'See the positive side Zoya. If she will start practicing now then she will turn out to be a perfect doctor in the future.' said Asad in serious tone enjoying Zoya's angry expressions.
'What if I die because of that injection ?' She asked in same tone.
'Well then you should sign approval papers before she operates you. In this way no one will blame her afterwards.' He said with a smirk on his face still worried about Ayat's future.
'Oh really ? Then tell her to operate you first.' She said and threw the pillow on his face which he catched on time.
'I have all my faith on my daughter. I am not like you when it comes to trust issues.' He taunted her again and she huffed in annoyance.
'Wait ! What is that cat doing on my bed ?' He asked in disbelief as soon as he saw Snowball sitting on his bed.
'Her name is Shnowball abu. Daadi and I gave her thish name.' She told him ignorring what he asked.
'But what is she doing here ? She is not clean even.' Asad asked annoyingly while somewhere inside he was regretting to bring a cat home.
'Abu she is clean. She took shower a while ago.' Ayat told him while Zoya was finding all this useless.
'But she used her hands while coming up now so she must be having germs.' He gave another reason while glaring at Snowball who was hiding behind Ayat now.
'I alsho used my hands.' Ayat protested.
'You are my daughter and she is a cat.' He said and looked at Zoya who was kissing the cat now.
'She is my shishter now.' Ayat said with a pout on her face while Asad groaned in frustration as it was hard for him to argue with Ayat.
'Ya Allah please a boy this time or else I will seriously die with all these ladies around me.' He wished while looking up and then looked at confused Ayat, Zoya and Snowball.
'Abu what is the shurprise ?' Ayat asked him after a while when she couldn't get anything what he was saying.
'Oh ya !' He remembered suddenly while Zoya looked at him confusedly as she thought that he said that before just to change the topic only.
'What is it ?' Zoya asked him who was smiling while Asad pointed toward her pregnancy reports on the table and she understood that its hightime for Ayat to know aswell.
'Umm Shonu you are going to be a sister soon.' Zoya said to her with a smile on her face while Ayat didn't get anything.
'How come ?' Ayat asked innocently.
'Because soon you are going to have a brother or sister to play with and then you won't need these cats around you.' Asad said while looking at Snowball who was getting scared from his eyes now.
'A brother or a shishter ?' Ayat asked excitedly.
'A brother I guess.' Zoya told her what she felt while Ayat was happy to know that.
'Shnowball did you hear what ami told me ?' Ayat asked Snowball who was falling asleep now. 'I am going to be a big shishter shoon. Then I will be Tom and he will be Jerry. I will eat him up.' Ayat started making her plans excitedly while Zoya started laughing at her cute expressions.
'I will go tell Daadi.' Ayat said while standing up on the bed while Asad chuckled when he saw her jumping on the bed.
'Not now. She must have fallen asleep and you should go and sleep aswell.' Asad said to her.
'Pleashh abu. I will shleep with her let me go.' She pleaded and Asad agreed.
'Ok. Come with me.' He said as he couldn't let her go alone at this time. He took her in his arms while Snowball followed them quietly.

Zoya took shower and came out. He was busy thinking about something while looking out of the window when she walked toward the wardrobe.
'Zoya I need a favour from you.' He said while walking toward her.
'Say it.' She asked him while taking Ayat's toys from the floor.
'I need you to make a sektch of the girl I mean the ghost or whatever who is staying here, I will describe you her face.' He said while turning looking at her face while she looked at him confusedly.
'Why you want a sketch of her face ?' She asked him.
'I saw her few nights back and I feel like I have seen her before aswell I just want to know who she is.' He said honestly while she was shocked to know that.
'I hope you are not tired now ? Or you can make it in the morning ?' He asked ignoring her stupid weird faces.
'No I will make it now.' She said happily and took out her sketchbook from the drawer. 'And for your information, I don't need you to describe her face. I have seen her already.' She said with her dimpled smile and this time he was shocked to know that.
'When did you see her ?' He asked while she sat on the couch opening her book after taking her pencil box from the table.
'When you were busy helping your best friend in Delhi.' She said annoyingly while he sat on the couch beside her understanding why she called him that night.
'Oh ! You mean when I was busy with my best friend, you were busy with your coullegues ?' He asked and smiled sarcastically while laying back on the couch. She turned back and glared at him. He kept his finger on his lips and stayed quiet after that.
She was done sketching after an hour when she got scared from the sketch even. She looked back at Asad who was sleeping now. She shook him and he opened his eyes as he was not into deep sleep.
'What ?' He asked while rubbing his eyes.
'Here it is.' She said with a smile as she was not scared anymore when he was with her. He took a deep breath and took the paper from her hand which she took out from her book.
'Its very scary but I did it.' She said in hope to hear him praising her art while he smiled looking at the paper.
'Thank you. This is really perfect.' He said as he understood what she wanted to hear and she smiled proudly. 'But the point is where have I seen her ?' He asked from himself loud enough for her to listen.
'Why don't you go and ask her ? Huh ?' She asked annoyingly.
'I tried to talk to her but she slammed the door on my face.' He said sadly while she looked at him with her eyes wide open.
'Allah Miyaan ! What's wrong with you Asad ? Are you out of your mind ? You went to talk to her ? You mean to that room ?' She asked angrily.
'Jealous Zoya ?' He asked amusedly while looking at her face.
'Jealous my foot ! I am worried about you.' She said in same tone.
'I am fine Zoya. Just go to sleep now.' He said calmly while still concentrating on the sketch.
'Come with me. I can't sleep without you.' She said while standing up and held his hand while walking toward the bed. He kept the sketch on the side table when she snuggled into him.
'Mr Emotionally Challenged Ahmed Khan please try to focus on me rather than witches.' She said annoyingly after a while when he was lost in thinking about the girl. He took a deep breath and smiled at her stupid antics.
'Lets talk about our baby.' She said happily while looking up at his face.
'Ok.' He said as he wasn't sleepy aswell.
'Are you happy ?' She asked him.
'Ofcourse I am and I wish its a boy this time.' He said while turning toward her and tucked her hair behind her ear. She looked beautiful to him in moonlight.
'It is a boy I guess and I wish he is like me. Not emotionally challenged like you.' She said to irritate him.
'No he is my boy. He is going to be my copy.' He said proudly while rubbing his hand on her stomach.
'No way. I can't see my boy waiting for his girl to go through an accident so he can confess finally.' She said remembering their old time.
'Atleast he won't confess in the bathroom unlike others who promise to make it special.' He snapped back.
'Oh really ? It was far better than confessing in the hospital.' She huffed in annoynance. 'Atleast my confession looks romantic and cute.' She said proudly with a broad smile on her face.
'And romantic in what way ?' He asked mischievously while she bit her lower lip as she remembered that night.
'You know --- like ---that night was special ---' She stammerred.
'How Zoya ?' He asked innocently, playing stupid while his hands were slightly tickling her now.
'Asad stop it !' She said annoyingly while moving away and tried hard not to laugh.
'Why ?' He asked.
'You don't know why ?' She said while laughing.
'No I don't know why because I am emotionally challenged remember.' He said while tickling her arms and she turned red while laughing.
'Ok I am sorry ---- leave me ---' She struggled again while coming out of his grip while his hands stopped suddenly as finally something clicked his mind. She tried to catch her breath and smiled again.
'What happened ?' She asked while looking at his face which looked more than serious now.
'Who is she ?' Zoya asked as she knew very well that his mind was still thinking about the girl while talking to Zoya.
