I understand what you are saying...it makes sense but from where I see Zoya should have been his first priority no matter what...because we cannot forget the fact that he did trade her ...completely abandoning her. Yes, life is grey and not all roses and similarly in life altering circumstances ones's real emotions comes out...and in such a moment he was ready to leave Zoya even after her continuous pleading and declaration that she needed him in his life, but he didn't stay...he only stayed for his mother. And honestly I don't have a problem with that...my point is irrespective of whether it's Dilshad or Ayaan or Nikhat, Zoya has always been his option and not his priority. Believe me a sensible matured self respected woman specially from NewYork ( I am a new yorker) would not abide by such nonsense. What irks me is 4lion's continuous mis portrayal of a New Yorker. I take this very personally because the reason I was interested in QH was because Zoya is apparently an American. I haven't come across any American as Zoya honestly. She has disrobed herself from any self respect she had and I am honestly planning to write a complaint to BCCC for defaming American women like us in this way. It was utter nonsense the way she was pleading that she needs him in his life...seriously, who talks like that and the man completely turns her down and insults her. It was completely horrendous to watch such crap. Love, marriage is a partnership...it's a give and take relationship. When a line is crossed a couple should part ways until the person who has wronged doesn't completely commit and here I don't think Asad has completely committed to her after loaning her off to his brother.
Anyways...sorry for the rant. I have very strong views about this ...mostly because I work with women and their rights. Also, I don't believe in fairy tales or happily ever afters...or end games or destined to be together. In the world I live in trust and commitment to a person is important...not necessarily marriage. But trust and commitment are broken everyday...people fall in and out of love. All I wanted to see a sane and honest portrayal of an American woman which I have not received and in return they have butchered her character. It's unacceptable to me because as a viewer I feel cheated.
