Why Dilshaad Never Fully Gave Up on Rashid

I know most of us are frustrated and disappointed in Dilshaad's decision (myself included) but I'm glad for one thing: that CVs gave us a justification for why she chose her husband over her son.

Rashid and Dilshaad never had a divorce

and at first that doesn't seem like a big deal but it's actually the key that opens the door of answers. Sine they need had a divorce, they always had that husband-wife connection. We might think she was foolish going over to the SM when it had always been her right (before Shireens may I add) to live with her husband. I'm not trying to justify her but now I see her through a completely new perspective. Throughout the show many of us probably assumed that RaDil had legally separated and that's why many of us were against her decision to go back to Rashid. After all if SHE signed those papers then SHE is the one who should have kept him out of her life, but destiny brought them closer. Not to rekindle old love, but to give Dilshaad her rights, as it was always hers. This also shows why Dilshaad could never forget Rashid, forgave all his mistakes, and had a soft corner for him even after she knew he had his own family with Shireen.

Don't get me wrong-I'm not saying that every woman should forgive her husband no matter what he puts her through but it explains Dilshaad's actions and emotions. I think she finally realized that since she is still Rashid's wife, she has every right as Shireen to live with him.

Gahh IMO I still hate her decision but atleast for me she doesn't seem so bad now. I still believe her decision is 10000000000% wrong but now I understand why she did what she did.

All of this is clearly my opinion. I understand that some people might support Dilshaad and I respect ur opinions. This post is not meant to hurt anyone's feelings or go against someone's opinions.

On a side note if I ever wrote an analysis like this for my english essay, I would definitely have a 100% in the class! 😆

I think that this track is necessary to get Dilshad closure.
Like you explained, the fact that they are not divorced is so huge for Dilshad.

I think she always had what-if scenarios in her head regarding Rashid. But couldn't act on them because she had Najma and Asad to care for. And I think she did an amazing job rearing them because both are actually really good people (minus their few flaws). And now after both are settled, she finally saw a door open where all her what-if scenarios could come true, so she took it.

I think this track will finally make her realize that Rashid is NOT the man for her and that she was better off without him. I can't wait for that day.

Besides still being married by which she has a bigger right than Shireen to be with Rashid -- Dilshad explains it so well --Yes i was with my children as both Asad and Najma needed me more then but now they donnot need me --I sacrificed everything to bring them up to be what they are today! But now Rashid needs me--the Mother ha sdone her bit and made sure both Asad and Najma have someone who will always be there for them so now the wife in me needs to give to her husband what he needs!

totally agree with u. Dilshaad is a strong woman but she is also a realistic woman. She has her flaws; she is human after all. And this whole show is just one big What-If (that's where I got my siggy from 😃 ) and all the characters have been in this type of situation. Some have overcome it while others are still trapped in it. The main and important thing is how they get over it and accept both what is happening and what has already happened.

and this is the part where the wife in Dilshaad comes out, fighting the mother in her, that is holding her from going to SM. The wife obviously wins and thus she chooses her husband over her son

What dilshad did is a debatable topic..
Ma ka farz pura hua..but..as to rashid needing her..
They were not divorced..so why did he not help them out in their
Times of need..he never put in a word for her..
Has dilshad to stay in SM..to realize that there are cracks in their
Relationship which can never mend..and that she has to move on..

dilshaad is married or not doesnt matters , what matters is , how much both the selfish people love each other that dilshaad left her son who devotes his whole life to her and rashid , you cant expect anything human from him , he told ayaan to leave but he wont let shirin leave coz he loves both the women or i say he want to chill with 2 women in his old age while he is using both of them , but both too deserves it as both loves that bas***d more than their sons !

as Zoya said RaDil have a connection of love but they also have a connection of marriage which IMO keeps influencing Dilshaad's thoughts as to finally forget Rashid or live with him. but you are right. all three of them in fact are selfish and they all deserve each other

exactly. as for me I guess I'm starting to understand why she did what she did but I still think that it's a horrible decision that any mother could make. she needs to let go of Rashid and go back to ring the strong single woman she was always shown as in the beginning of the show
