Part 2
Zoya flipped the photo album to find a picture of her and Asad sitting near the small rivulet that runs through her town. The picture was taken by Nuzhat a few days after their wedding but the place had some memories that no one else was privy of. The memory of a moment spent with him that had no physical memoir but was nevertheless etched in her heart. She blushed as she thought about that first kiss.
After spending some time at Dargah seeking guidance and help from Allah, Zoya went to her usual spot situated off the main Dargah road. Zoya loved the clear waters and the gushing sounds of stream from the small rivulet that passed through their town. She dipped her feet in water as she sat on the bridge occasionally throwing small pebbles into water and intensely observing the ripples. She looked around her, it was a simple place yet beautiful. The soft smell of the earth, blooming white and yellow flowers at a distance, a full - grown mango tree at a distance that was planted by her and her Abu more than a decade ago - the memories of her childhood associated with the place made her what she was. This is where she belonged... her home, her family, her friends were all here... How could she leave it all behind? Her family wanted to get her married and was also entertaining the potential suitors. Not to mention one of those guys was sitting at her home now. Even though her Abu had assured her that he wasn't really expecting anything from her, she knew that was not the truth. Watching her Abu around Asad provided her with enough hints to understand that her Abu approved of this guy. And it certainly didn't help that she felt drawn towards him. Did she like him too? No ways... her mind screamed back and she tried to block her mind as her thoughts started wandering back to the certain guest at her place. She tried to draw some solace from her familiar surroundings and shut her eyes but then a voice interrupted her tranquility... and she knew it was him! "Mind if I join?" he asked when she gave him a disinterested look and before she could deny, she saw him dusting the ground beside her before settling down. "Jahanpanah!" she muttered under her breath.
"Nice place" he said looking around, ignoring her mutterings. "Hmm", came the reply. "So is this your hiding?" he asked. "Why would I need a hiding now?" she turned to him. "Of course to run away" he said with a smirk. "From whom?" she asked incredulously. "From me, of course" he chuckled. She glared at him but turned to look straight ahead. "Aap humesha itni chup toh nahi rehti, hai na?" he probed again. "Aapse matlab?" she retorted. Had it been someone else the comment would have offended him but then coming from her it sounded nothing more than a fit coming from an innocent child. "May be... I'm the one to whom it should matter the most" he replied cheekily. "Listen... don't let your hopes fly" she replied in a straightforward manner. Asad was trying hard to keep his smile in check... Wasn't she adorable? Hell yes she was! And in his heart, he already knew she was going to be his! "Hopes? Regarding what?" he asked feigning ignorance. He was trying to rile her up and she could see that. Irritated, she threw another pebble in water with all her might. Droplets of water landed on them and from the corner of her eye, she watched as he crunched his nose and tried to wipe the water off.
The little time he had spent with Farooqui's, one thing that Zoya had observed about him was that he was a neat freak. She rolled her eyes at the thought. "What was he thinking before coming here?" she thought to herself. But then as an idea struck, her frown was replaced by a smile and he didn't miss that. Something was up in her mind, he could see that and so he upped his antenna as he saw her taking a packet of Kachori from her bag and started binging on it. When she caught him eyeing her, she offered it to him too. "Thanks. But it's not healthy. Aur aapne haath bhi nahi dhoye" he commented making a disgusting face. She laughed trying to irk him more, "Aap yahan mujhe manners sikhane aaye hain? Too bad! Mujhe laga aap mujhse Nikah karne aaye hain" He rolled his eyes at her lame attempt to humour. "Well! Too bad for you! I am not Ayaan to run away with those silly tactics" he asserted letting her know that he knew what she was up to. She pouted, "Aapko kya lagta hai? Ki aap mujhse haan bulwa lenge? Dream on!" she challenged. "Ms. Farooqui, mujhe yeh lagta nahi hai... main jaanta hoon ki aap na nahi kar payengi" he stated with conviction. She glared at him, "Allah Miyan! Wah Mr. Khan main agle moment kya karungi yeh mujhe bhi nahi pata hota aur aapne already decide kar liya ki main aapse Nikah ke liye haan keh dungi! Kuch Bhi!" she said and he chuckled at her wondering if she knew how cute and innocent she sounded just now, "Even though you are quite unlady like loud and messy, you are impossibly cute" he commented and she gaped at him, "Allah Miyan! What's wrong with you Mr. Khan? Yeh meri tareef thi ya insult?" He gave her a lopsided smile, "Kyun? Aap chahti ki main aapki tareef karu?" he asked. "Main aisa kyun chahungi?" she countered. "Exactly Ms. Farooqui! Yehi toh main aapse pooch raha hoon... ki aap kyun chahti hai ki main aapki tareef karu? Wait a minute... aisa toh nahi ki aap bhi mujhe pasand karti hain?" he wondered aloud trying to maintain his charade. She glared at him, "Itni badi pagal nahi hoon main ki aapse Nikah kar loon. Apni Harkatein dekhi hain... Nikah ke baad aapki toka - taaki se aisa lagega ki maine kisi finishing school main admission le li hai" she said and he muffled a laugh, "Lekin maine Nikah ki baat hi kab ki?" he asked as if genuinely confused. She frowned, opened her mouth and shut it again realizing where he had led this conversation to. She huffed as she tried to get up but he held her hand firmly holding her back. She squinted her eyes and struggled to set herself free but he refused to let her go. And amidst this struggle the packet of kachori that she was holding on to fell on him and the chutney in the packet spilled on him in the process. As the green chutney smeared on his shirt, he grunted in response and Zoya laughed at his face. "Aww... Mr. Khan too bad... but I think I can make it better" said that she took another small packet and smeared the other red chutney on his shirt too making it look a piece of modern art and burst out laughing.
Initially Asad was too stunned to say anything. As the initial shock faded, he was appalled at her audacity and glared at her with murderous eyes. "Arre aap toh bura maan gaye Mr. Khan. Sorry!" she feigned an apology even as she continued to laugh. He squinted his eyes at her and then before she knew, he tugged at her arm, pulled her close and captured her lips with his. Zoya's eyes grew wide as she started hitting him with her small fists. However, Asad's hold was strong on her and he gently nibbled on her lower lip before letting her go. And it was she now glaring at him with murderous eyes, and Asad's eyes twinkled with mischief when he said, "Arre aap toh bura maan gayi Ms. Farooqui. Sorry!" with a hint of amusement in his voice.
Angry, Zoya tried to get up from the bridge again but he pulled her back and whispered huskily, "I'm not letting my hopes fly Zoya, I know you are mine" said that he got up and left the place leaving behind a stunned Zoya. His words and actions stirred something deep inside her which she couldn't deny, but what it exactly was, she failed to understand. She touched her lips trying to determine what had exactly happened just now. She had just experienced her first kiss and then his possessive claim had left her off guard. Somewhere inside her she knew she liked it too. And that knowledge left her all the more confused.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Still dazed, Zoya came back home an hour later to find him sitting in the living room with the rest of her family, while Nikhat brought in tea for all. "Zoya aa gayi. Aao bete" Gaffoor called her and made her sit beside him. "Mujhe lagta hai Asad aur Zoya ko ek baar akele baat kar leni chahiye" Dilshad suggested. Zoya's head snapped at Asad who sat there as if nothing happened between them in a while ago. She huffed at his nonchalance and wished she could tell upon his actions but tried as much, she neither found the words nor the heart to reveal their moment... it felt too personal... too precious... too pure! Something about his demeanour told her that he knew what she was thinking and that she was not going to disclose their little secret. It irked her further. She looked at his Abu, hoping he would turn down the request, sparing her from being alone with the man who was hell bent on playing havoc on her mind. But Gaffoor gave her an apologetic look, mouthed a discreet please and encouraged her to go ahead, reassuring her with the blink of his eyes. Of all the things, how could she let her Abu down? And so, she agreed.
She picked up her mug of piping hot tea and got up to go to her bedroom, her personal space. Razia nudged her to pick Asad's coffee mug too but Zoya shrugged and went inside while Razia glared at her back and shook her head. Asad smiled at her stubbornness, picked up his coffee and followed her.
Once in her room, they sat across from each other on the coffee table placed in a corner. Zoya looked everywhere but at Asad. Asad smiled at her antics and asked, "So?" She turned to him, "So?" she shot back. "I didn't think that you would keep our kiss a secret from your family" he teased her. She glared at him, "Why do you want to get married?" she asked completely ignoring his statement. He raised his brows, "Oh! I didn't know you were that forward. Though I am quite a traditional man but to honour your request I'll consent to live-in too. Main Ammi se baat karta hoon... apne Abu se aap baat karengi ya main karu?" he enjoyed riling her. Zoya's mouth formed a perfect O' but to refrain herself from giving into an urge to kill the blatant man in front of her, she shut her eyes to gain some semblance "I DIDN'T mean that!" she said through gritted teeth while her eyes threw daggers at him. He sipped his coffee lazily, "toh phir? What DID you mean?" Her eyes flared at him, "Why do you want to marry ME? You hardly know me... (holding her chin high) For all you know I might be a les" she finished boldly. Asad spat the coffee he had just sipped and looked at her in amazement. The girl was certainly something! She wouldn't give in so easily, will she? He thought and threw his head back as he laughing hard. Zoya was taken aback, she was so confident that this would push him away and here he was laughing his lungs out as if she had just cracked a joke of the century. The pout was back as her shoulders slumped in resignation.
"Desperate times calls for desperate ploys, isn't it?" he asked and she winced looking away. Suddenly, his eyes grew soft and he reached over to hold her hand, "look at me Zoya" he asked sincerely. Reluctantly, she turned to look at him, "Trust me... I won't force you for anything. Now would you tell me the real reason behind this drama". The sincerity in his voice touched her as his eyes searched hers. "I don't want to leave my family" she admitted meekly. He nodded in understanding but then probed further, "Are you sure there's nothing else?" She frowned, "What else?". He felt nervous and even a bit tensed to ask her what was on his mind but nevertheless he needed to know this and so he ventured uncertainly, "Woh actually... I meant... is there someone... I mean do you love someone?" he stuttered. Her eyes grew wide as she pulled her hand back, "Allah Miyan! What's wrong with you, Mr. Khan! Maine kaha main apni family se door nahi jana chahti. Maine yeh nahi kaha ki main kisi aur se mohabbat karti hoon. Stop drawing conclusions." She charged at him. He let out a sigh of relief and caught hold of her hand again, this time a little more firm and with authority. She looked at their hands and then at him.
Looking deep in her eyes, he grazed the back of her hand with his thumb as he spoke, "If that's the only contention then who's asking you to leave your family?" she looked at him in with uncertainty as he continued, "Zoya, you have a wonderful family. Aapke Ammi-Abu, apke chacha - chachi, apke bhai behan... a behad khubsurat parivar... Aur meri taraf dekhiye, bohut chota tha main jab mere Abu ka intekal ho gaya. Uske baad Ammi aur mere alawa humare parivar main aur koi nahi hai. Main aapki feelings aur jazbaaton ki kadar karta hoon Zoya. And I'm not trying to invade their place in your life... I'm only asking you to make me a part of it all. Marriage doesn't mean to leave behind your family. It means to start a new one." By the time he finished, she was completely mesmerized.
Sun rahi hoon sudh budh khoke koi main kahani
Poori kahani hai kya kise hai pata
Main to kisiki hoke yeh bhi na jaani
Ruth hai ye do pal ki ya rehgi sada
(kise hai pata... kise hai pata)
She didn't know how long she stared at him, until he broke her reverie by asking her, "Would you honour me to begin one with me?" Behind the calm expressions, he tried to hide the anxiety that was running through him but she read it all in his eyes. Oblivious to her own action, she placed a comforting hand over his. What drew this change, she had no idea... but there was something in conduct that compelled her to submit and that is exactly what she did by nodding in affirmation. He flashed his dimples at her and Zoya instinctively knew that this was right and together they were going to make it. Asad walked upto her and pressed his lips on her forehead, muttering, "thank you" while Zoya smiled in content finding refuge in his arms.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
The families were happy beyond imagination. The Farooquis were astonished when Zoya gave her nod without throwing any tantrums but Gaffoor smiled and gave a thumbs up to Asad. Najma, Humeira and Nuzhat were too stunned to react. And if that was not all, the blush that adorned the cheeks of the Farooqui princess only made her more adorable.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Zoya flipped the pages to come across a picture where she and Asad were busy shooting daggers at each other through their eyes. Yes... they were two contrasting personalities and never missed an opportunity to get on each other's nerves. This picture was taken on one of the wedding functions but this wasn't their first fight after all. She smiled recollecting a small incident that had occurred just the next day after their families had approved and blessed their union.
After finalizing everything, Asad and Dilshad were to leave from Indore the very next morning. However, it was decided that before they leave, Zoya and Asad would go to Dargah to seek divine blessings. Gaffoor and Dilshad accompanied the couple to Dargah that was not more than 15 minutes drive from Farooqui house. While in the car, Gaffoor sat in front with the driver while Dilshad, Zoya and Asad sat behind. Sandwiched between Dilshad and Asad, Zoya had a tough time to deal with Asad's ministrations. Dilshad and Gaffoor discussed the wedding and ceremonies while Asad refused to let go Zoya's hand even for a second. She glared at him, fearing Gaffoor or Dilshad would take notice of his actions but he was totally unconcerned. Zoya tried to pull back but he refused to let go. "Hadd ho gayi... Sirf baat pakki hui hai aur yeh aise haq jata rahe hain... Allah Miyan! Agar Abu ne dekh liya toh" she rued and when nothing worked she kicked his foot indignantly. Unprepared, Asad gasped at her nerve but then quickly recovered and kicked back, carefully though as to not to hurt her. Zoya's jaws dropped at his less gentlemanly ways and she replied back with a harder kick. He was furious with her attitude... their marriage has been set... she was his... he didn't understand why couldn't she just let him hold her hand then! Too eager to show her his claim on her, he gently caressed the back of her hand with his thumb sending Goosebumps through her entire body. In reply, she pinched his leg hard. Asad coughed to cover the cry while she smiled triumphantly. If Dilshad or Gaffoor noticed anything that was happening between them, they didn't make it too obvious.
.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
"Ouch" Zoya gasped as she felt one more contraction in less than an hour's time. She clutched her belly till the contraction lasted. Dilshad was by her side in a moment and was trying to comfort her. They knew she was close. But there was still sometime left for them to rush her to the hospital... When the contraction subsided, Zoya smiled at Dilshad in assurance. Dilshad patted her head and went to rest in her arm chair anxiously waiting for Asad to return. Zoya went back to see her wedding album and her eyes were drawn towards the picture that was taken after the wedding were she was supposedly sitting coyly on their marriage bed while waiting for her husband to arrive.
Their marriage was nonetheless a grand event of Bhopal. Two months after Khans left for Bhopal, the Farooquis went there. It was a week before the wedding. Time flew away in jiffy. Each day there was an event planned leaving little or no time for the families to even breathe in peace. And then before anyone knew, it was the day of the wedding. Asad and Zoya took vows of togetherness by giving their consent, uttering, "Qubool Hai" for each other. After the Nikah, Dilshad hosted a grand Valima inviting the entire of Bhopal to wish the newlyweds. The couple completed all the formalities and performed all the post marriage rituals while their families enjoyed to the fullest. And then Zoya was finally taken to Asad's room... their room from now. One of Asad's aunts made her sit on the nuptial bed and then there was a flash while someone captured the moment for them. But Zoya cared less to see who it was. The soft mattress beneath her was comforting and promising to her tired body as her sleep-deprived mind could think of nothing more than a good night's sleep.
The girls and the women teased her mercilessly while she sat with her head bent low. "As if I'm letting him come between me and my beauty sleep tonight" she muttered under her breath and felt like sticking out her tongue to all the stupid relatives who refused to leave her alone. When finally they left, she heaved a sigh of relief and let her duppata down her head to look around the room that was decorated with flowers and candles. She was in his room for the first time, but felt strangely comfortable. This was also her room now, the knowledge quickly seeped in to give her a sense of belonging towards the place. But the big night was not going to be tonight. Not only was she tired but she also needed time to know him better before taking their relationship ahead. She knew he would understand. As she raised her eyes to appreciate the beauty of the flowers that adorned the bed, her eyes caught a sight of some creepy green-colored creature that was staring down at her from one of the flowers. Traces of sleep left her eyes, whilst she shrieked and jumped up on the bed.
And that was how Asad saw her when he entered the room. For a moment, he stood stunned at her reaction wondering if she was shrieking at the sight of him. But then, the next moment, she jumped down from the bed and came running towards him causing him to take a tentative step back. It was only when she clutched his arm and tried to brush her lehnga that he realized that she was actually scared. "Kya hua Zoya?" he asked concerned trying to hold her in place."Woh... woh... wahan pe keeda" she managed to say while she pointed towards the bed. Asad gaped at her for a couple of moments and threw his head back laughing after she explained to him that she had seen some green coloured garden worm in the flowers around the bed. This has to be first time when any bride would have welcomed her husband by jumping and running around the room, he had teased her. She scowled at his insensitive attitude. After a few moments, Asad shook his head and decided to call it a draw, "Fine... now forget it and go to sleep" he told her. She smiled at him as she realized how right she has been about him. He understood her but what amazed her more was the fact that he understood her without even her having to say anything to him. It was their first night and like typical men he had not expected her to submit herself to him as she was told by some of her friends and cousins. His thoughtful nature touched her heart. However, she quickly changed her opinion when he nudged her to sleep on the bed!"How can you expect me to sleep there, knowing there is a creepy insect hiding somewhere in those flowers" she shuddered. Asad rolled his eyes at her and pulled down all the flowers that the decorators had arranged and even inspected the bed thoroughly for her. Once she was satisfied she snuggled in the bed and was fast asleep within a few minutes. Asad shook his head at her and put a comforter around her before taking the place beside her, satisfied to just have her beside him for the moment. He looked at the flowers piled up in a corner of the room and chuckled at the bizarre event. True! It was one unique start! But then when he looked at her sleeping form beside him, the sight filled his heart with a sense of ecstasy and pride. He knew he could bring heaven and hell together to protect this angel. And he vowed to himself to do just that to ensure her happiness in the cocoon of his love. With that thought he fell into a peaceful slumber.

Days passed, as they got to know each other better. They argued and fought like kids but enjoyed each other's company like pals. Zoya's obsession and drooling sessions over Dhoni and Salman irked him to no extent. Soon she started taking over the responsibilities at home bonding with Dilshad in the process. She joined office with him. Their discussion varied on polarities from a healthy discussion to an ugly debate. And at the same time they came to understand each other's silence perfectly.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
"Aahhh" came in another contraction. She took in deep breaths to calm her nerves and messaged Asad to come back soon. "I'm going to kill him if he delays beyond 5!" she said when she noticed the clock marking 4:15. "Relax baby. Daddy is coming... relax" she tried to speak to the baby. Dilshad was worried and Zoya could see it in her eyes. Zoya assured Dilshad and shut her eyes lying down on her bed uncomfortably. As she did, her thoughts picked up from where she had left them.
She remembered the night when she had witnessed the passionate side of her husband for the first time. They couldn't deny that they were drawn towards each other from the very beginning. Their relationship had taken off on a right note and love had blossomed. The more they drew close, the more he yearned for her. He wanted to make her his in every true sense and Zoya had clearly read his need for her in his eyes. But before that, she wanted to confess her feelings to him. And that, she had done... on the New Year's Eve! They were returning from a party when she asked him to take her to his favourite place, near the Bhopal Lake. Over the time, she had come to like it too. It was serene and secluded. Looking in his eyes, she had held his hand and whispered, "I love you" to him. And then she had taken the initiative to kiss him. Overwhelmed by the emotions, Asad deepened the kiss and hugged her to himself as close as he could.

Once home, in the confines of their room when Asad was about to walk away, Zoya held his hand causing him to stop in his tracks and looked at her. Her dazed eyes and the blush on her cheeks was enough for him to know that she was ready and was as eager as him. He lifted her in his arms and laid her down on the bed kissing her fervently while his hands roamed all over her body, exciting her and urging her to respond back with the equal passion. She held him tight and his lips traveled down teasing her jaw and her neck. He slipped his hand under her kurti while his tongue tasted her soft skin at the hollow of her throat eliciting a moan that drew him towards insanity. He nibbled on her collar bone even as he traced the contours of her body so reverently as if he was worshipping her. A quick learner, she duplicated his moves, tentatively kissing his Adam's apple and then trailing her lips down to his torso. He groaned, as she sensuously tortured his senses, tugging at her kurti as she hid herself in his chest. He made her to sit, amused at her tongue-tied state. The look in his eyes befuddled her and she turned away from him. But he held her hand stopping her from moving afar. He brought her hand to his lips and kissed the insides of her wrists before getting her kurti off. His warm lips muddled with her senses as he rendered her bare the waist above. She moaned when he placed open mouthed kisses on her bare back before turning her to face him. He held her hands preventing her from hiding herself from him while he kissed her senseless once again. His lips trailed towards her shoulders and she clutched him hard while his lips explored her sensitive feminine spots. He tugged at her jeans and pulled it off of her before he undressed himself and came back to her. Baring her completely, he explored her leisurely. And then with one thrust, as she gasped, he made her his.
He kissed away her tears and made love to her with a vigour that had her screaming and clawing at his back. His passion drove her to the edge while he let himself loose in her totally. And finally they had together culminated their passionate voyage that fulfilled their existence.

Zoya blushed profusely at the memory. She was amazed that after so many years, after spending so many intense and probably even more passionate nights together... it was the memory of their first time that was so firmly engraved in her mind. She smiled, as she remembered how insatiable Asad had been that night but then frowned... was it only that night? No! He had been insatiable ever since! She giggled and then slightly smacked herself to deflect herself from those thoughts.
Zoya braced her hands at her side and as she got into a sitting position. She was about to pour herself a glass of water when she felt an intense contraction and she struggled to catch her breath calling for Dilshad as she doubled over in pain and shrieked holding her belly. Instantly, Dilshad was there by her side, trying to help her. She instructed her to breathe and took the phone to call Asad and check where the he was.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Asad had just entered the house when he heard Zoya's scream and his blood ran cold. He ran up the stairs to find Dilshad trying to call him while Zoya was visibly distressed."Asad Kahan the tum" Dilshad asked while Asad sat by Zoya trying to run a comforting hand behind her back. "I'm sorry Ammi... woh..." he was about to continue when Zoya yelled, "Damn with the reasons and Woh actually Asad, we need to go to the hospital now!" and this at once drew Asad and Dilshad's attention while Asad instantly picked her up and carried her towards the car while she clung to him crying out in pain. Once in car, Dilshad sat with Zoya in the backseat while Asad drove towards the hospital in a mad rush. He cursed the traffic under his breath only to get a smack from her, "Dare you mutter swear words in front of my baby girl" said that she started taking deep breaths on Dilshad's insistence as she continued to run a soothing hand on her back. "Zoya... this is no time to admonish me for my slip of fortitude" he snapped back as he tried to keep himself from panicking causing Zoya to whimper. "Asad!" Dilshad warned him to check his tone.
After half an hour when they reached hospital, Asad was at his wits end as Zoya now seemed too much pain and he was completely helpless. At once, she was taken in labour room, where the doctors readied her for the delivery. Asad held her hand providing her the emotional support that she needed at this moment. However, when Zoya's water broke, Asad turned his face a notch away unable to see her going through the pain. He was appalled as he didn't know what he could do to calm her. "Its's all because of you" she yelped as she saw him turning away. "Don't you dare turn away now" she warned amidst her shrieks while he looked at her too stunned and worried to react.
During the course of her pregnancy, Zoya's doctor had already informed them that her labour may be a little difficult and if they wished they could choose to go for C-section but Zoya has out rightly refused. She wanted to experience each moment, no matter how painful it was going to be, much to Asad's dismay. To make matters worse, due to some allergic reactions the possibility of administering Epidural Anesthesia to her was ruled out too. That made Zoya and Asad all the more anxious about the process.

Hell worried for Zoya Asad looked around, taking in the commotion inside the delivery room. In a moment, all the times they have spent together flashed in front of his eyes. "I'm sorry baby. I never knew it would be so painful" he apologized tearfully not knowing what else he could do to help her. "And what would have changed if you knew you moron!" she said through gritted teeth. Asad looked at her incredulously taken aback by her speech. She dug her nails in his palm as he tried to soothe her but in all honesty it was becoming all too much for him and for a second he really felt dizzy. But Zoya quickly caught on with the look and yelled, "All MIYAN WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU! DARE YOU MR ASAD AHMED KHAN... DARE YOU FAINT... I SWEAR YOU'LL END UP LEADING A LIFE OF CELEBACY FROM HERE ON!" she screamed at him and the faintest hint of dizziness leapt away with the threat in her eyes. The doctors urged her to push and she did but whilst she cursed him again, "I knew it... I knew it marriage was never a good idea" she cried as she latched on to him for her dear life. "But you don't need to be married to get pregnant" Asad blurted almost instantly. She snapped her head at him, "Aapko mazak soojh raha hai?? Mazak soojh raha hai?? Come here deliver a baby and then talk about the facts!" she snapped back and screamed again, "I'm not going to live through this... Help my Baby doctor, please" she cried genuinely worried for the baby. The doctor looked at Asad in reassurance letting him know that it's all going to be fine.
Watching her wither in pain, Asad shut his eyes and upped himself to brace it bravely. He reminded himself why he had not let her go back to Indore to be with her family... it was for them and their baby. He realized that he was making her weak rather than being the strength she needed then. And so, he swallowed his own worries and bent to her side to whisper in her ears, "I love you baby... it's going to be alright... you can do it... a little more... you can do it Zoya" the confidence that his voice held for her and the love and affection that his warm caress on her back reinforced her with the strength and confidence. He asked her to exercise her breathing techniques continuously wiping out the sweat from her face, mumbling sweet encouraging words in her ears. Half an hour later, with a final push, her screams were replaced by the shrill cry of their little miracle. "It's a boy!" the nurse announced and a teary Asad winked at an exhausted yet exhilarated Zoya smiling at his little victory. Zoya pouted at him but then turned her attention to her boy and looked at him with sheer adoration and love.

Zoya was shifted to another ward where the nurse cleaned and brought their little baby to them. Asad and Dilshad thanked Zoya for the happiness she has brought in their lives. And tears of joy fell from their eyes when he held the little baby in his arms. He kissed Zoya on the top of her head and Dilshad blessed the couple and the newborn before leaving them to have a little moment of their own. Asad pecked on Zoya's lips and engulfed her in a side hug while they both admired their little baby together.
"I told you we are having a boy" Asad teased her. "So what?? I'll win the next time" Zoya uttered softly before she gave a gentle peck on her baby's cheek too awed to take her eyes from the wonder in her arms. Asad smiled gently and then shift the baby back in the crib. He held her as she drifted off to sleep while stayed there looking at her in awe and respect. His Ms. Musibat... his wife... his love... and now the mother of his child! His heart swell with this new found happiness. He wiped out the single tear that made his way down his eyes and kissed the back of her palm before he lay down beside her, happy and content.
