Dil Ke Taar...Epi Nov 12
Sangeeta, brilliant title and common thread umm, I mean taar!! 😃
Hi everyone
It's been a while since I made a review post. Today's episode gave me the inspiration to write something.
The days you don't write a review, it's obvious the episode didn't touch your dil ke taar!
I was a bit disappointed yesterday because of the poor editing and constant interruptions by the Qureshi family but today, the flow was great with the right amount of smiles, tears and emotions.
I am a hopeless romantic, so yes, I liked the episode!
Relationships are complicated business. It's those invisible ties- those dil ke taar'- that keep us connected in this world. Every relationship goes through ups and downs, but as long as that invisible string is there to pull us closer, it will eventually bring us back to the people who are destined to be in our lives.
Well said! 👏
Asad-Zoya: Thanks to Nuzzat, Ayaan and Humeira, we got a rehash of how their relationship came to evolve from nothing to everything; from hatred to love and from conflict to mutual understanding. Despite all their differences and their separations, their dil ke taar' kept them tied and connected to each other. It's this invisible string that has brought them back together after the most difficult tests of their relationship.
Asad and Zoya indeed have a special relationship! As you once said, they are not perfect but perfect for each other. IMO, there never was hatred between the two. Conflict, yes. But not hatred. That's too strong a negative emotion. Asad hated the pull she had on his heart strings (dil ke taar!!) and she hated his what then appeared to be MCP ideologies. They have indeed come a long way and now complete each other!!
Zoya-Khan Family: One of the most poignant and heartwarming scene was Zoya's monologue before she cut the cake today. I know a lot of us get annoyed by her OTT behavior at times but its instances like these that give us an insight into the depths of her heart. "Mujhey aaj koi wish nahin chaahiye." "Meri zyaadatar wishes shayad Allah ke spam folder mein jaati hongi" These two statements were very telling. A girl who spent most of her growing years, dreaming and yearning has finally found what she had been looking for- unconditional love and a family she could call her own. The strings that tie her to Asad, Dilshaad and Najma are too strong to snap and come what may, will always bring her back home.
I second that! The spam statement and her almost tears brought tears to my eyes! This to me is the real Zoya! The emotional fool (said in an endearing way) who values relationships above all. Yes, she belongs with the Khan family. That is her home, where she can be her OTT self. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that she did not mention Appi and Jeeju. As per the child Zoya photo scenes, she's been living with them for a long time. Didn't she mention Jeeju at her 1st standard award ceremony?! What little they have shown, Appi and Jeeju have given her lot of unconditional love and support! Not mentioning them made it sound a little ungrateful to me. Of course I blame the CVs as you know I love Zoya!! Yes, no one can replace parents but Zoya doesn't remember her parents and it has always been shown that Anwar and Zeenat have treated her like their baby/princess. Doesn't that count?? Dilshad may be a mother figure but didn't reach out to her during the ZoYaan period. Not something a mother does. Again I blame poor writing. However, they did show a scene where Zoya yearned for her father and rued that her father wouldn't have allowed her to be treated that way.
I wanted to see Najma call and wish Zoya. Didn't happen!! At least they should have shown Zoya Jeeju scene. If the actors playing Zeenat and Anwar are not available, they should replace them!
Ayaan-Humeira: These two have been friends since childhood. Even if things stray for a while, they will always have this connection between them. After watching today's episode, I am no longer sure that the PH will pursue its original story of two brothers in love with same woman. Today, Ayaan was the old Ayaan- no longer awe struck by Zoya. His interaction with Humeira via the skit helped him reconnect with her once again. Whatever may happen in future, his dil ka taar shall always remain attached to Humeira.
The second OTP!! Perfect for each other. To be honest, I never felt that Ayaan was in awe of Zoya. Would they have pulled each other's hair like imbeciles?! Yes, the changing scripts could be causing us confusion!!
Did you catch Humeira in her Zoya avataar (another taar!! silly me!!) mention that AsYa are still not on first name basis!! I laughed at that! That was for people like me who complain about Mr. Khan / Ms. Farooqui!
Dilshaad-Rashid: Despite living apart for the past 17 years, there is no denying that the estranged couple still have feelings for each other. Now that Rashid has suffered a life threatening illness and wants to reunite with his family, his emotional blackmail is definitely going to tug at those strings between him and Dilshaad. Let's see what decision she takes.
Ah, the oldie goldies! The original OTP!! Rashid wants his entire family to live together! Really?! Was the man's brain in his heart? He's completely lost it after the heart attack (BTW, that was some speedy recovery!!). AAK living in Siddiqui's house!! To be honest, as sick and improbable as it sounds, imagine the drama at SM! Bring it on, although I doubt it will happen! Dilshad will decide in Rashid's favor but I am sure she will have her rules and conditions.
Zoya-Humeira: For me, this was the scene of the day. The two doe eyed sisters definitely have a string that has connected them, albeit loosely over the past 17 odd years. "Tum meri parchai ho" "Hamare beech jaise koi dil ka taar hai." These symbolic statements will hopefully bring these sisters even closer in the coming weeks. Zoya was gracious in her praise- she called Humeira, a prettier and thinner version of herself. I can just imagine when Zoya finds out the truth, she would be the most giving sister in the world.
Yes, truly beautiful scene!! Will Humeira see the MB tomorrow?! It's open on the end table!!
Precap:
- Nikhat in water. Imran saves her. She hugs him. Will jealousy play a role here? Will Haseena take advantage of this situation and create a rift between the half-sisters?
- Asad-Zoya. Finally, we have a private scene between the two. Zoya's new watch is probably a gift from Mr. Khan. Yes, Mr. Khan, each day you spend with Ms Museebat is a special day in your life- whether its Mangalpur, bhang ke pakore, mini skirt fiasco, Ajmer or her accidental nikaah. You will never forget any of them. Those invisible strings will always pull you both towards each other, whether you wish her on her birthday or not. I am sure with time even she won't get upset about it.
I am quite positive HB pushed Nikhat! She's testing the taar between Najma and Imran by reminding her of the one between Nikhat and Imran!! I think the latter never existed, so the former is safe!! I would be surprised if HB manages to cause differences. I hope Najma remembers that she is Dilshad's daughter!!
Sigh! AsYa precap was awesome!! I loved how Zoya had her arms around his shoulder and did a forehead and nose bump!! How cute was that!!
Is that watch new? I thought I have seen her wearing it before.
I'd like to add 2 more relationships where the dil ke taar have judofied (new hybrid word!):
1. Najma-Nikhat: I know some feel there will be sister conflict due to Imran. I feel Najma will be happy with Imran and will continue to provide Nikhat with the emotional support she needs. I see the estranged sisters bonding well!
2. QH-Audience like us: 😃 Our dil ke taars have so nicely judofied that we even sustained through the dreaded ZoYaan!
