To claim that you love a woman and then expect her to leave behind her dignity, self-respect and responsibilities to come with you... is utterly preposterous!

Why should Dilshad even make this sacrifice for this man? Yes, she's emotionally very vulnerable at the moment, presumably tired of this constant tug of war situation between her mind and heart... but Rashid? For all the guts he gathered from his son's act is this what it has come to? True... even copying is an art!

Rashid is apparently conveniently forgetting that SM has never been his house but Shireen's! The people staying there are Shireen's brother and sister-in-law and he had fallen into their trap... The man who couldn't hold a say in deciding a future for his own daughter, on what basis he's making this outrageous suggestion, i fail to understand! Can he even ensure and promise an iota of respect to Dilshad in that house? Is he even capable of taking care of her and standing up for her to say the least? Did he even think about the consequences? He could never put a leash on Shireen's poison laced tongue before, did he even think what Dilshad would have to face if she stood in SM for even a moment, forget about coming and staying with them?

And why should Dilshad stay there? She has her home, her life... her kids and this man wants to uproot her now, in this phase of her life!

Frankly speaking... I don't see Rashid can ever make amends... he can never make up for the lost time... Asad and Najma are grown-ups now, Asad's childhood was lost... the better part of Dilshad's life was spent in fending for herself and her kids... they have shared a fair deal of societal stigma before her son managed to take the reigns and gain a respectful foothold taking care of the responsibilities that his father was suppose to take care of. If really Rashid want to undo his doings... the only thing he can do is work to get his son's forgiveness and acceptance, which in itself is quite a steep task!

Exactly!
Even if this was a forced nikaah, is he not to blame?

Doesn't he love Nuzhat and Ayaan? He really wants to return back and abandon his kids, letting history repeat itself?

I agree, that Dilshaad is vulnerable and has been longing for a husband's love all her life.. but he's not worth it. NOT AT ALL.

She now has a beautiful family, that loves her and looks up to her.

Rashid has always been spineless. And now, he has traded his brain to own one.

I want Dilshaad to hold her head up high and keep her dignity intact, and brush off Rashid.

Talk about lost time Mr. Rashid Ahmed Khan. Your ex wife is not at fault.

Sonia, that is called hitting the nail on the head!

I think that conversation was what is known as a strawman conversation... It was deliberately put out there to setbthe stage for what is to come. I think, and i have said this before , that dilshaad amd Rashid never actually divorced. So this would make it a play between two wives... Not uncommon in muslim familliesfrom a global perspective. Wil have to wait for a few more epis to see how pthis plays out. Apart from the obvious recriminations, there is potential for good argument. Will the cvs rise to the occasion orvwill they again disappoint?

I was apalled to see that this man actually had the audacity to believe that he would bring Dilshad to SM and he would live with both Shireen and Dilshad.

Sona, writers rose up to the occassion and we saw 'Mohabbat ki Jeet', hope this time too Gul will not disappoint and correctly send out the message that polygamy is unacceptable. I have read on Internet that even in Islam men are prohibited from polygamy unless absolutely necessary, if it is true then what Rashid wants to do should be impermissible.

Why are we even considering this option, would educated people like Asad and Zoya ever agree to this? I would be thoroughly disappointed if they do!

Exactly! He chose his freedom over his family then! And in my opinion if a man can cheat once and walk out on his wife and family... there's no guarantee he will not repeat the same. Shireen chose to be a second woman knowing it all... fully aware that the man was in love with his first wife. So whatever comes their way, its the consequences of their choices... no one is to be blamed!

Rashid is not worth of Dilshad's care and love... yet her heart beats for this man. In the process he's trolled her too keeping on reiterating that he was forced into this marriage and he loved her. He never in a way allowed her to move on or let her go even when he was fathering kids from another woman! At least for the sake of her comfort, he could have confided in her by telling her "how" he was forced into this. But he never did tht... he cud have helped her with the kids... but he didn't! So today he practically holds no grounds in their lives.

A topic for discussion . Will go on and on and the outcome will still be questioned .
Logically speaking I can't see how Dilshad could still passionately love this man . From a woman's point of view .. Hell No. !!
Please after so many years . Ok I will agree if you were separated and both were never married . But he left for another woman and married her .. and have children . Seriously a normal woman will spit venom after the first week once his name is mentioned. I don't know where this story line is going but this is nauseating and unreal .

very well said ...agree wid u ...
m amazed at x audacity of dis man to think ki dilshad ll move to sm ...i agree dilshad is vulnerable dis tym n hez trying to get d benefit of it ...
it ll b best for him if instead of trying to get benefit of dishad's vulnerability n her luv he shud try to seek asad's forgiveness ...n vo itna aasaan nhi h jitna dilshad ko emotionally blackmail karna h ...

Exactly... i Doubt that there was ever a legal separation. So that means Rashid while enjoying his bargained freedom, never let Dilshad go or give her the freedom to move on in her life ( I know she wudn't ever had but still he kept his bounds with her!) The conversation was a draw on the characters and wud be resulting in a lot of drama that is to ensue. There's no forgiveness to infidelity and two-timing coz u play with the faith of a person and before walking out on Dilshad, didn't Rashid father Ayaan from Shireen?... all the while stabbing in her back? So why this portrayal of victimization now?

He refuses, rather, is scared to up bring his children and when they are grown up, all set to get married.. he wishes to attend their functions! ( read - Asad and Zoya's grand nikaah )

He goes about begging and pleading to Dilshaad, hoping she'll forgive him? Has she already? I'm afraid she has.

When he was living a life of luxury in SM, his love was struggling to survive.
Did he even bother supporting her, let alone help!

He needs to pay for all the years he has lost!😡
