The more involved Asad is getting, the more rude and bitter he is behaving towards Zoya! So its true when they say that guys are always the meanest to the girl they like the most!

Love how you let Asad think that Zoya was talking about him and his sixpacks (and she was!) and then realising that she was actually meant Dhoni! (But she sooo didnt!)

So sad that I have to wait 2 weeks for your next update...but wishing you happy holidays!

This FF is a bit different from your previous ones. More emotional angle. Why do I get the feeling now that all the emotional outbursts and insecurities have been clearly shown, the groundwork has been laid for something big? To me it feels like Asad, Zoya and even Rohan are like a volcano about to erupt!

Paly: I described them as being in a pressure cooker but your analogy works just as well. I love writing angst and trying to understand what people are feeling. Yes, the emotions will have to burst out - very soon! in fact, it will be in the next chapter so the wait is almost over.

It's been great to see the varying emotions of all 4 major characters (except Dilshad):

Paly: I admire Dilshad. She is so strong, even stronger than Asad, I think. Remember, Dilshad wasn't raised to be strong and independent the way Asad was. She was raised to be a good wife and mother and live a traditional life. Asad - and Najma - learned to be strong from watching their mother and imitating her actions. I am in awe of this woman who can love, nurture and support others even after suffering the kind of brutal blows that would have destroyed a weaker person.

Asad: This is one complicated man!! 😕 He gets mad when Rohan says something accidentally to upset Zoya. But then he hurts her with his harsh words again and again. Mr. Khan, you can run but you can't hide. I think his feelings for Zoya are coming to head soon!! With all the pent up feelings: love, attraction, jealouszy, concern etc., if she gets hurt (which she is bound to as she is a Musibat magnet), he will explode. Well done showing his frustrations and complicated character!!

Paly: Another poster said that guys are cruelest to the girls they like the most. Asad is the same way. Zoya's actions and reactions hit him harder than a physical punch and send him reeling. What is the automatic reaction when someone hits you that hard? You hit back! Asad must stop that - completely. The irony is that the person he hits the hardest is the only person who can stop him from hitting out at all.

Zoya: Poor darling wants Asad's approval but due to his constant yelling, probably thinks they aren't meant to be. I hope she doesn't feel unworthy. Her wistful description of his body was more than just a physical attraction. She knows only he can protect her!! These guys need to talk!! Clearly both have it bad!! Her longing for her Abbu came through clear at the dining table. Her scarred arm is a reminder of what she has lost. I would like to see the vibrant and cheerful personality back in form! She needs to find a way to get away from Asad's watchful eyes and try to crack Rohan's secret!

Paly: Should I say it? Okay, sure why not? Of course Zoya will crack Rohan's secret - Zoya Farooqui can do anything!!!!😛

Okay, my silly moment is over.

No, Zoya doesn't think she's unworthy of Asad but she does think that Asad thinks she's unworthy of him, if that makes sense. She knows she can give him the unconditional love, support and acceptance he needs. But she believes that Asad doesn't consider her love to be valuable or even useful. He says he wants someone/something different and she believes him.

Najma: She has been the surprise package for me. Love seeing the determined Najma who does not want to be mollycoddled! Yes, she still fears her big bro but has come a long way. I absolutely loved the part:

Najma blinks and her cheeks flush. "Bhaijaan, I hadn't heard the name Raabert until Zoya said it a few minutes ago," she answers honestly.

Smart girl! What presence of mind to come up with that answer!! 👏

Paly: Najma has been shown to be very smart but shy and conventional. There is no possible way that Dilshad's daughter isn't just as strong and as noble as Dilshad's son. Dilshad loves her children equally so she raised them with the same values. Najma hasn't shown her strength because she hasn't needed to. Now she needs to and she will step up.

Najma's growing maturity is the key to this story. She has shown Asad, Zoya and Rohan how to put feelings into words and get the assurance she needs (and they need!) to be emotionally healthy. Now they only need to follow her example. Najma is a trailblazer!!

Rohan: The mystery man. What is he up to? Hopefully, we'll find out soon! I do feel real bad for him. His angst and longing for a loving family is very palpable! I am a little confused. Is he physically or emotionally attracted to Zoya? It seems more emotional. It feels like he wants to draw in her warmth. Does he recognize it yet? Asad seems to have an inkling.

Paly: As first I thought Rohan was physically attracted to her, too. Now I think it's more emotional. But then he's seen the intensity of the physical attraction between Zoya and Asad. He sees the way Zoya forgets him (Rohan) whenever Asad is anywhere in her vicinity. He knows he doesn't have a chance of coming between them.

Asad knows how strongly he feels for Zoya and thinks everyone else feels the same. She's just as bubbly and cheerful with Rohan and Raabert as she is with him, maybe even more so. He sees how people are drawn to her sweet nature, as is he. So Asad thinks every guy is a threat because he doesn't understand how much more intensely Zoya responds to him than to anyone else. He is truly a fool in love!

It will be fun to watch the jealousy track(s) unfold!! I always wanted to see one in QH. You are giving us almost 3 simultaneous ones: MSD (not a serious one), Rohan and Raabert!! Love it!! Akdu is gonna explode soon!! 😃

Paly: Akdu is going to explode alright but it won't be with jealousy. He shouldn't want Zoya because someone else wants her. Asad has to value Zoya for herself, not as a prize he won. She has to have more value than a cheap carnival toy. He has to see that she gives herself willingly and with an open heart because she wants him and ONLY him. How can he learn to do the same without her example?

Can Zoya stay upright on her 2 feet?! 😉She has to fall or trip with Asad close by to catch her. 😆 This time she took him down too!! 🤣 If Rohan (kebab mein haddi) had not interrupted their eyelock, what would have happened? 😳

Paly: I can barely understand Hindi so written words are just lost on me. What does 'kebab mein haddi" mean?

Asad and Zoya would have stayed on the floor, lost in the own world until somebody tripped over them, if Rohan hadn't interrupted. So he was actually performing a public safety service by calling out to them!

And as I said before, I think Zoya trips and falls on purpose. Why shouldn't she when she has her own, very personal, bodyguard to catch her? And Zoya took Asad down a long time ago - they just haven't accepted it yet.

The following dialogue made me laugh:

"And those abs!" Zoya sighs deeply. "Every time I look at those abs, I want to grab a shirt and scrub it along his torso to see if I really can wash laundry on that perfect six-pack."

The paratha scene was very nice too!! Naughty Rohan was teasing Asad!! LOL! 😆

Paly: Well, I think the joke's on Rohan. Dilshad pointed out that a healthy heart is the key to a healthy body. Rohan said he was beginning to see that. He sees the depth and intensity of the love between Zoya and Asad and how that love amplifies everything around/about them. A healthy heart not only leads to a healthy body, it's the key to a healthy soul, too.

Now coming to the mystery, Zoya needs to give Asad the slip and help Ayaan. Can't see him finding much on his own! Hopefully the mystery element will unfold soon!! Eagerly waiting for next year for the next update!!

Paly: I think you'll be proud of Ayaan in the next chapter. He's actually a very smart guy when he's motivated. The character has never been shown to be stupid, just immature and spoiled. Raabert will come through for Mona - several times, in fact.
