ASYA Drabble: The Sunset *note:pg.4*

So I am not sure what this is. I tend to distress doing exams by taking a short 15 minutes break and open a blank word document, and just write. This is the outcome. After I wrote this, I thought of a simple, a little cheesy sort of love story to go with it.

Prologue

He stood at the deck of their beach house as the sky blended into beautiful hues of orange and yellow. But he wasn't looking at the mesmerizing sunset. He was gazing down at the girl down at the beach. She was sitting in the sand with her knees drawn against her chest, with her eyes full of love, not for him but for the sun, biding it farewell. Without a thought, he crossed the distance to her at a slow pace. She didn't even acknowledge his presence, but reflexively leaned back when he spooned her from behind, letting her back press comfortably into his chest. That's how immune they were to each other's touch.

Her beloved music box was open, with the soft, soothing tune playing. The music box was her most cherished childhood memory, the key to her Abbu.

"I wish it didn't have to leave.", she whispered ever so softly, her eyes still on now the fading sun.

He leaned in to skim his fingers along her cheek coaxing her to lock her eyes with his but her gaze didn't waver from her beloved sun.

"Don't worry sweetheart, it will back tomorrow. I promise.", he whispered against her ear as he looked forward at the sun.

She half turned to kiss his cheek and sighed, "Thank you for never leaving."
