I am sure that's the reason they are implying but to me, even that seems very irresponsible. A man who was willing to marry Tanveer out of responsibility, refuses to go for Nikhat's nikaah even though her nikaah was important enough for him to sacrifice everything+ even if his presence hurts Zoya, he can stay in the sidelines and be vigilant. After all, he has seen what Tanveer is capable of doing. Staying home will definitely make Zoya vulnerable to the kiitya kat's attacks. Can't he follow Billi like Billi follows him everywhere?
