The door bell rings and khushi wipes her tears and goes downstairs to open the door knowing that dilshad is not at home.
she opens the door and finds asad standing there.
asad comes in,
on seeing asad khushi breaks down and starts crying
Asad:what happened khushi
Khushi :bhaijaan I have been selected to be placed in the UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK.
Asad:wow that's great khushi but I don't understand why do you have to cry about that?
Khushi:bhaijaan ,badi ammi has not given me permission to go. she feels that it is not safe for me to go to New York all alone.
Asad:but khushi if ammi has said no then we can't go against her decision. she has much more knowledge about this world and people than us.
Khushi : I know that bhaijaan, but then even you know that my parents always wanted me to pursue my higher studies abroad and even I have dreamt of doing so. I want to achieve something really great in my life and make my parents proud.
Asad: but khushi ammi...
Khushi: I know that...but ... please asad I really really want to go please do something
it is one of my biggest wishes!!! please asad...
Khushi just cries on and seeing this situation of khushi asad tries to console her. He places a brotherly hand on khushi's head .
Asad:don't worry khushi. I am there with you and will try my best to explain this to ammi. just keep your fingers crossed.
Khushi:yes bhaijaan
at that moment asad's phone rings and asad goes off to another room
seeing asad go

a 8 yr old khushi crying and dilshad consoling her at that time a 9 yr old asad waks to her and seeing her cry holds her hand gently and tries to comfort her
khushi (to herself) : Even though god took away two of the most important people of my life he gave me a loving and caring badi ammi and an amazing elder brother with whom I can share all my woes and problems. Even though I don't have any blood relation with them we share a very special bond which is much above blood relation.
khushi goes and lies down on her bed and dozes off
