Na, i agree with you - partly. This dishonest storytelling is what is very bugging. She should have stuck to her synopsis; but i guess she wanted to have her cake and eat it too! So once when Asya became popular, she started milking that.

But coming to zoyaan as it happened - it did; she could have still salvaged it and moved the story forward. She could have shown some intelligent scenes in the SM between Zoya and the rest of the protagonists. Yes the characters were butchered- beyond repair. In trying to keep her golden girl untarnished, she has killed Zoya's character irreparably - she is now as regressive as they come and worse she wont pay for any of her mistakes! Hell, they wont be recognised as mistakes as well..

Anyway, I watched the show for its story - had they proceeded to show Zoya feeling guilty for her involvement in the Najma fiasco and reflecting a bit about her own rash actions, and immediately moved to the MAIN story, i wont have minded this butchering...

But no, there is no purpose to any of the scenes that have been shown the last few episodes... the story has come to a standstill...

I can understand that Guls ego led to Zoyaan. But what I cant understand is are people that blind or subservient to their ego that they will continue killing their own baby?

i mean the finale couldn't have been better...nd man Debra was amazing...for a moment i thought she will shoot dexter but she shot laguerta instead nd man when she hugged her after that my heart broke...now that was sheer brilliance...I watched last 3 episodes yesterday night nd I didn't want to stop...today season 8 begins 😃

The main synopsis would have never worked...as far as I know and understand...simply because when u cast Karan as Asad and Baal ki dukaan Rishabh as Ayaan, u do not expect Zoe and Ayaan to get married...yes the casting matters...

Secondly...the initial few episodes were written keeping Asad and Zoya in mind..they worked..she changed the story...and now she wants to do a ZoYaan...will she make Ayaan fall for Zoya...no way she can do it now...people will not accept it...but she still wanted it..why? so that Zoe could get into SM..

Would it not have been better had she discovered her abbu nd left for SM...fight for her place and acceptance..the angst between Asad Zoya due to the enmity between her father and him...between Ayaan Zoya due to the fact that Humeira's rights could be in danger...so much could have been done..but they had to do a ZoYaan and they did it...ZoYaan cannot and will not serve any purpose because if it was such a main track of this story, the build up should not have looked like a khichdi..since the time ZoYaan has happened..about 20 days now, what have they done apart from crying and pining for each other..where is the brother's clash...where are their brains?
