Hello everyone! So sorry to update after a long time...Enjoy!

Zoya opened her eyes and a blurred image welcomed her. She couldn't see clearly except of the two figures standing right next to her. Where the hell am I? And who are these people?

As her vision cleared, she was able to recognize Asad from the two but the second person was definitely unfamiliar.

"Mrs.Khan, I am Dr.Sharma. I came to see you ...Your Husband called me after you fainted."

I fainted? For a second she couldn't recall what exactly happened. I remember my head spinning...Yes I fainted. But wasn't I standing?...and now I am here on this bed...so that means Mr.Khan brought me here, in my room? She shot her head up and looked at him with questioning eyes.

As if he could read what was going on her mind, He immediately looked away. Obviously he did not want to answer any of her questions. At this point all he cared was that finally Zoya woke up. The moment she fainted in his arms, Asad brought her down to her room. He did everything to wake her up but she didn't respond to anything. It would be wrong to say that Asad was worried, because he was in all sense, panicking. After about fifteen minutes he called the doctor in and till then he knowingly or unknowingly stood besides her, holding her hand in support.

"Mrs.Khan it seems that you have not been taking care of yourself properly. You know how worried your husband was?" Zoya was surprised on hearing this. He was worried? For me?

" I have checked your blood pressure and it is dangerously on the lower side. Is there something that's bothering you?"

And with that, all the memories of what conspired before, rushed to her and soon realization dawned upon her. She clearly remembered her fight with Asad in the morning. Everything from his harsh words to the truth was crystal clear.

"Are you listening to me Mrs.Khan?"

"A..a...y...yes doctor..."

"Are you eating properly? You seem very weak and pale."

"Actually doctor I am very new to this place and its taking me some time to adjust with everything. And that's why I don't feel like eating properly." She lied.

"Well that's not a good thing Mr.Khan. You have no reason to ignore your health. I am sure your husband agrees with me." The doctor looked at him and he nodded his head slightly in agreement.

Great! Now the very person who's behind my miserable state has an opinion about me. Wow Zoya life is a circle, isn't it?!

"I will make sure that I eat properly. Thank you, Doctor."

"No issues Mrs.Khan. But I am writing down some medicines for you. These are majorly health supplements; make sure that you take them regularly."

"Yes of course I will Doctor."

Asad listened carefully and was relieved to hear that Zoya was fine. Was it guilt that was bothering him? Her words, maybe?

"You used me Mr.Khan". He stiffened at that thought but reasoned with himself later. I have had my reasons.

While Asad went to escort the doctor outside, Zoya was alone inside the room. For once there weren't any questions in her mind; there were only the dreadful but true answers. The feeling of being cheated didn't leave her either. She recalled his words, "This means nothing to me...nor should it mean anything to you". Tears started brimming out her eyes along with her suppressed emotions. I was used.

She felt suffocated sitting there in his house and wanted to break away and shun herself from all the lies. Not thinking clearly, she ran outside to the lawn. Asad who was returning back saw her and decided to stop her from going out as it was raining heavily. Why is she behaving like this? Hasn't the doctor just told her to look after her health?

He stopped a running Zoya and held her arm firmly, "Zoya aap kahaan rahin hain...Bahar bahut barish ho rahi hai..."

She looked at him disgustingly and shrugged her arm from his hold and made her way outside.

At this moment she didn't care whether it was raining or not. Differentiating between right and wrong was not her priority right now. All she cared was the fact that she was used in this rude game of life. Everything about her marriage was just a sham. How could I not realize this sooner?

She sat on the grass and let the falling rain drops soothe her devastated soul. By now she could see her dreams crashing down like million pieces of glass. She had never anticipated this kind of upheaval in her life ever. For her it was always about being happy, spreading happiness and most importantly about the true relations she has made and had wished to make in her future.

What have I done to deserve this?

Unkown to Zoya, Asad stood outside and saw her breaking down. Her cries hit him with the affect of a thousand knives. Not able to deal with what was happening, he left her there alone.

Zoya was feeling more and more helpless with the passing second. Along with her present, her future was unclear as well. What could she do now? She couldn't think clearly and with no one to lean on too she was sure that she was alone in her journey now.

The rain subsided and that brought her out of her thoughts. Her life seemed to have scattered into pieces which she couldn't gather even if she wanted to. By now she was sure that this is how it was going to be. Her hatred for the man she married would never dissolve. But at the same time she knew that she wouldn't let herself suffer. She has always believed that one should suffer because of one's own misdoings and not someone else's.

What Asad had done to her couldn't be justified in any which way and nor she would let it define her life from here on. She had to figure out a way to get out of all the complications. And soon.

Asad had got back to his room but the thought of Zoya refused to leave him. Not that he had agreed upon rectifying his mistakes if at all he had made any, but her accusations surely affected him.

His phone buzzed and for a second he froze looking at the number flashing on screen.

He picked up the phone and listened to the other person on line very patiently.

Finally he responded, "I am coming."

Zoya had decided to get some much needed rest and was lying on her bed. Even though the sadness hadn't left, she knew that her health was her priority right now.

All the while thinking, she herself didn't know when she fell deep into slumber.

*(Sound of the door bell)*

Zoya woke up at once hearing the door bell ring. " Allah Miyan is that the bell?"

This was very strange because Asad never bothered to ring the bell because he always used his spare keys and there was no one else who visited the house.

Nonetheless she got up, adjusted her clothes and went on to open the door.

"Oh My God what happened?" She asked in shock. There was Afzal, Asad's PA, supporting Asad by his arms.

"I will tell you Mrs.Khan. First let me take Sir to his room. He can't even walk properly."

Both Zoya and Afzal took Asad to his room. Asad had bruises all over his body, his leg was hurt too and even though he wasn't unconscious, he couldn't talk due to weakness.

"Afzal ji yeh sab kaise...aur kab hua?"

"I don't know that ma'am. I was in the hill side area and luckily I found Sir there. He had an accident and his car had hit a tree...That place is very deserted so no one was there. Allah ka shukr hai ki main wahan tha."
"Thankyou Afzal ji but don't you think that you should have taken him to the hospital?"

"That's what I said but Sir refused so I thought that it would be better to drop him home."

"Oh accha...Thanks for your help.."

"Ma'am one more thing...I would have stayed here to help but my daughter is sick so I will have to leave. I hope you understand...I am really sorry"

"Don't be, you as it is have helped a lot. Take care of your daughter Afzal Ji, I am here with Mr. Khan."

Asad was in an extremely bad state and that worried Zoya. She hesitantly helped him lay his head on the bed. There was a deep gash on his shoulder that was bleeding. "Mr.Khan you are severely injured, I think we should go to the hospital."

"I am fine here. You go I'll be fine"

Again! Again that attitude! What is with him? I mean can't he for once behave normally.

"You won't be fine Mr.Khan and you know it! Your arm is bleeding...you can hardly walk...it wouldn't kill you if you let me help" Zoya said in half annoyed and half concerned voice. Yes it was true that she hated him but for her humanity came before anything. Only she could understand how his presence infuriated her but that wouldn't stop her from doing what was just. She continued, " Okay you don't want to go to the hospital then don't but at least let me do the dressing of the wound otherwise it will become septic."

"You don't have to! I said I'll be fine don't you understand?!"

"No I don't! I don't understand anything what you do but this is no time for us to fight, get it? You are injured and I will help you. I am not a person who does nothing when someone's hurt. She glared at him and Asad understood the meaning hidden behind her words. By now he has understood that Zoya was equally stubborn and wouldn't budge until he gives in.

"Okay if you wish"

"If I wish? Since when did you start caring about the wishes of other people Mr.Khan?", she said sarcastically, " I am going to get something to dress your wounds." She rushed to her room where she had seen a first-aid box and quickly brought it to Asad's room. She could see the pain in his eyes but vowed to not sway away and be firm with her emotions.

She sat besides him on the bed with the box on her lap. She gestured him to remove his shirt and Asad obediently complied. Due to the shoulder injury he was finding it very difficult to open the buttons and Zoya noticed the same. Hesitantly she helped him, avoiding any kind of eye contact. Most definitely it was one of the most awkward moments in her life. There were blood stains on his vest too that indicated that he had bruises on his chest. Her hand was shivering and her discomfort was visible on her face. Sensing this, Asad said, "You don't have to do that...".

"No, its fine, I'll help you." She removed his vest in the most careful manner possible. Zoya couldn't help but feel bad for him seeing such deep bruises on his body. This must hurt a lot. She looked away and said softly, "I'll just get warm water for you..."

Asad on the other hand couldn't understand why this girl was helping him. Even after the way he behaved. The present situation was as awkward for him as it was for Zoya. He really didn't want her to help him because if she did then he would again think about her which he clearly did not want to.

Zoya returned with a big bowl of warm water and kept it on the side table. She took some gauge pieces, dipped them in to water and sat next to him so that she could clean his wounds first. "This might hurt Mr.Khan"

She saw him flinch the moment she touched his wounds. The sight of blood was making her feel nauseous too but she tried her best to keep calm. The particular gash on the shoulder was the only one that was very deep and thankfully the rest were mere bruises.

Asad noticed her eyes soften as she carefully applied the antiseptic. Looking into her eyes made him forget the stinging feeling for a moment. And that was strange.

Once she was done dressing him completely with cotton and bandages, she got up to help him lay down properly. She held his head and placed it carefully on the pillow while he slid down to lie on the bed. While doing this her fingers touched a small cut on his forehead and he immediately turned away. "Oh I am so sorry." She herself didn't know what got into her as she caressed his forehead with her fingers fondly. Realizing the mistake she had made, she instantly backed off.

Allah Miyan what's wrong with me! Zoya get a grip...he is a monster of a person. He's quiet now because he is hurt. That's it. He doesn't care about you or the fact that you have helped him.

She was only turning back to leave when she noticed something. She took his palm in hers and observed slit marks on his wrist. As soon as Asad realized what Zoya was looking at, he folded his hand across his chest.

This was enough for her to make out that she wasn't supposed to see those.

The same cold expression returned to his face and he said in the harshest tone possible, " Shukriya jo aapne mere liye kiya...lekin ab aap ja sakti hain"

His words brought back the anger she had held back so far, "Main jaa rahin hoon...aur agar shukriya aise karte hain tho aainda se itni takleef uthane ki koi zaroorat nahin hai!"

But wait a minute...are those marks what I think they are? No...Of course not...but can they?
