I: And we are back! Welcome to Forum 32!
K: Thank you so much, thank you! This is the second part of our South Africa interview.
I: Usually a break lasts two to three minutes, but we probably have had 3 to 4 weeks of break in between. And I'm sure you won't have any issues going back to the memory lane.
S: We never came back! We were there. We are still there.
K: Sometimes you know, she says the BEST things!
S: Sometimes Karan? Sometimes? Sometimes you understand what I'm saying Karan! Yes *laughter*
K: I'm a Sardar! Remember, don't say anything negative about Sardars!
S: No, of course not. No!
S: Where were we? We were talking about the Durban Walk right?
K: No we haven't talked about that...
I: We were talking about food!
S:Food, actually, the food there...
I: You didn't like the food you were saying...
S: No the issue is not about whether we liked the food or not. First, I'm a vegetarian.
K: No NOT first! The BIGGEST issue is that she is a vegetarian.
S: Yes I'm a vegetarian.
*Karan tries to put on his shades and Surbhi stops him*
K: What is it?
S: No! If one of us is not wearing them and the other one is it will look strange!
K: We can wear half-half. I'll wear them on the left eye and you wear them on the right. Together we will be complete! AsYa.
I: It's like the sharing of the earphones!
S: Yeah, actually... I even know a joke. An old man and woman are at a hotel. First the old man eats and the old woman is pacing back and forth. Then the old woman eats and the old man is walking back and forth. A young couple who has been watching all this time says "Omg, you guys have so much love for each other!" The couple reply, "it's not love. We only have one set of teeth"!!!!
K: How loving and disgusting at the same time!
S: Cause we were talking about sharing the shades so I remembered that joke!
K: We will have two different sets of everything, I'm sure. Where are the sexy' shades?
S: I'm not an idiot that I would wear shades at night time too!
K: Sometimes I wear night shades.
S: Ok, ok it's ok. Should we focus on the interview?
K: So I can't wear the shades?
S: No.
K: Ok, it's fine.
S: Here! Just wear them, please!
I: Sexy! I think he looks sexy with those, but then again that's just my opinion!
K: *takes his glasses off and puts them back on while staring at Surbhi* Oh wow, my gosh these glasses show such a good tone. *smiles*
S: Ok, I was telling you guys about the food. In South Africa asking for vegetarian food is considered a crime! When Karan would ask "Do you have vegetarian?" they would have really shocked expressions on their faces.
K: I would say "What do you have in vegetarian?" the waiters would say "WHAT?"
S: No, not like that!!! Karan would say "What do you have in vegetarian?" The waiter would reply "Did you just say VEGETARIAN?!..."Then Karan would nod and say yes. Karan actually completely enjoyed himself with the non-veg food.
K: What enjoyment did I have eating non-veg? We had to go wherever there was food!
S: Uhhh, but you could also find non-veg there too.
K: Yeah. But...
S: What "yeah but"?! See the thing is that the food there was not at all yummy. The food had no taste. I don't know what kind of herbs or spices that South Africans use in their food. *Basically saying that compared to Indian food there wasn't that much flavour. They weren't used to it.*
K: Actually we didn't find anywhere good to eat. Food wasn't really our agenda.
S: Our agenda was to look around,
K: See new places.
S: Explore the casinos. We did explore lots of casinos.
K: And dance
S: Yes to dance...
*Exchange weird looks*
K: *whispers* sorry'
S: Just the food wasn't good, everything else was fine.
I: We stopped where you had said that you... wait, what is the name of the place... Monty Casino?
S: See before talking about the Monty Casino, how can we forget the Durban Walk!
K: Yes, the Durban walk.
I: Yes, please.
K: Red shorts and black t-shirt!
S: See what happened was that as soon as we entered the hotel, after we settled down, we thought that after our perf* gets interested by Karan
K: We made a plan, after freshening up we would meet up.
S: Karan made no plans! Let me tell you. He is such a boring person!!!
K: I am. I am very boring.
S: It is not until someone motivates or inspires him to do something, like explore a new area and have fun, that he does it. Otherwise without that persuasion he just sits in one place and doesn't move.
K: But I never have a plan. Whenever I go somewhere my only plan is to sit down and have a few drinks.
I: I still remember when the three of us were talking and Karan said to you that without him you cannot go anywhere! And you said yeah I won't go anywhere because you will be sitting at the hotel drinking and won't LET me go anywhere.
S: Yeah, this was Karan's best performance. The performance that he did in South Africa.
K: By performance' she is referring to my behaviour.
S: Yeah, yeah.
I: And one more thing, because you only said a little bit.
K: Said what?
I: In those five minutes that the performance... wait, the audience doesn't yet know what that performance was. Nevermind. Sorry!
K: Yes for the first half of the interview I was just looking at you. *Turns to Surbhi* So I will continue doing that. Speak.
S: What was it?
I: About the performance.
K: About the behaviour'.
I: A definition.
S: Oh, ok, ok. So what happened was *gets interrupted*
K: They don't know right, about the performance... lalalala
S: Hmmm it was a kodak' moment.
K: Pause
S: Hmmm. The word, pause, itself was invented by you.
I: After this we should also talk about the Bunty and Chintu glossary.
S: Dude, I'm in a very good mood! Today I'm ready to do whatever you ask me to do!

S: Ok so the hotel was awesome! And what was undeneath the hotel? What show room was down there?
K: Harley Davidson show room! *makes sound effects*
S: Omg, the Road King bike!!! When...
K: *makes more sound effects*
S: When that bike would start, Karan...
K: Remember, I was in your room and...
S: You weren't in my room! We were on the balcony man.
K: What balcony?!
S: *thinking* no, no not a balcony, but...
K: *keeps interrupting*
S: Maan, shut up! We WERE standing on a balcony!
K: WHAT BALCONY?! There was no balcony there!!!
S: Karan! One minute. He has had a short term memory loss.
K: Yes... continue.
S: There was a balcony there with a glass wall. We were there waiting to receive our room keys. We were looking below. Karan said the bike's name is Road King', and to wait for it to start to see... And that's what happened. When the bike started, it had SUCH A sexy sound.
K: First you said no, no, no, that sound is not coming from the bike!'
S: Yeah, I couldn't believe that the sound was coming from the bike! We went into the room AFTER this.
K: Yes, sorry!
S: After that we saw the view from the balcony. Saw how nice the area was. There were so many sexy cars there. We also saw... actually I'm the one that saw! He was still looking at the bike...
K: Obviously! It's the Road King?!
S: So after that, we decided. No, I decided that we will change, shower, and then meet up to go for a walk and see the Harley Davidson show room.

S: it was closed! And it was like our hearts broke down into little pieces!
K: But then I realized that there were things there that were even more beautiful and nice than the Harley Davidson show room.
S: Like?
K: Like the walk.
S: Karan I suggested the walk!!!
K: Yes, I came to the realization after we took the walk.
S: Yes, it was after the walk. Meaning, there were so many beautiful roads and lanes there. Gosh, what did I not do there man?! I went crazy when I was there. I said the road was so nice that we should rehearse there. And you know, Karan is a superstar so he couldn't handle a kid like me. He said...
K: No...
I: Surbhi in every interview why do you refer to Karan as a superstar?
S: Because he is a superstar!!!
K: No it's cause she saw it written on my leg (he has a superstar tattoo on his leg). That is why she thinks it's my actual name.
S: *laughs*. SO then we...
I: So now we have a fourth word. Karan Superstar Singh Grover. KSSG?
K: I am Chintu, Surbhi is Bunty.
I:You are chintu. Ok sorry. Continue.
S: Yeah, so after we went for a walk. There once came a time when there were so many cool cars on the road. I was standing here and there were divisions on the footpath. There was some distance between where I was standing and where Karan was standing. Our net movement was like this *moves head back and forth*
K: A lamborgini was going by.
S: We were doing that.
K: The cars went by four times.
S: The cars were so beautiful, so nice. In Durban the cars were really something! And, and... what was that areas name? Rockridge?
K: Yes, Rockridge.
S: The entire road in that area was really wonderful. After that we walked a little bit more.
K: It wasn't a little bit more'... the walk was quite long. We walked for an hour.
S: Yes.
I: Did people recognize you on the street?
K: Yes.
S: Yes. Wait, wait.
I: Oops, I am jumping the gun!
S: So we did our rehearsal, sat here and there. Did this and that. Then on our way back we saw this lane. It was hidden and extended back. We walked along that lane. The houses there were SO beautiful, like the houses in films. They were really pretty. And every house had a dog. I love dogs. Then after going there we...
*interrupted by Karan's cute barking noises*
K: *karan continues pretending to be a dog*
S: We saw the dogs and pretended this one is my house, the othe one is Karan's house*
K: *still making barking noises*
I: *laughing*
S: Karan I've spoken five sentences since you've been growling and barking.
K: I just got happy on the part where you said you love dogs!
S: *cute laugh*. After that we were going back and a car came by the sidewalk and stopped.
K: No, you left out so much information.
S: What?
K: You haven't seen Surbhi running like a mad/crazy person!
S: *embarassed*
K: She was wearing shorts and running here and there on the side walk. SHe was saying ' NOW WE WILL GO THERE! NOW WE WILL GO THERE'. We went there, crossed the road and there were two posts. She says we will sit here. You sit there and I'll sit here' *imitating how excited and crazy she was being.* Then I said what should we do now Surbhi? Right now there are cars and people going by on the road.
S: Karan was afraid that we would get into trouble from the police.
K: Well yeah, anyone who is sitting around like a crazy person looks suspicious.
S: Someone did stop and asked us if we needed a lift. I said no, we are just sitting here.
K: They were old ladies right?
S: Yeah two old aunties.
I: You always have a story about an aunty *referring to the lady who tried to kiss Karan when they arrived in Durban (on previous interview)*
K: No, those weren't those types of aunties.
I: No, the one who tried to 'eat you'!
K: Oh yeahh... the one who tried to eat me.
I: Actually she has replied on Forum 32.
K: That she tried to eat me?
I: No that she was that woman who tried to eat you. She thanked you for mentioning her.
K: Most welcome madam. Next time I come to Durban please don't try to eat me. It's not possible.
S: I was thinking... look at the guts this aunty has. She is telling us that SHE was the one who wanted to eat Karan. Okay so there was a really nice garden there. Behind the garden there was a building that we weren't able to discover. What was that building?
K: that...
S: There was also a church there.
K: Yes, the one that had a green side/shed?
S: Yes, yes, yes. I wanted to, with all my heart, that we go inside someone's house. But Karan didn't take me into anyone's house.
K: BECAUSE Surbhi wanted us to go to someone's house, any random house, and knock since we wanted to see the inside of the houses. What would we have said Surbhi? ' You know sometimes your children come to our/the house. Give us water'
*Laughter all around*
K: *Karan explaining what could have happened if they had actually knocked on someone's door*. So we would have knocked and asked that. Then some 6 foot 4 guy would have opened the door! We would say please give us water'
S: *can't stop laughing*
K: *turns to Surbhi* 'yes he would have for sure given you the water.
I: What if he fed you a pill?
K: Yes he would have said you guys sit here, i'll get you some water...
S: Yes then we saw that area where the snakes lived.
K: Yes, and then there is that other story too. The one about the green snakes.
S: Mhmmm. Meaning, that whole Durban walk is something that I will never be able to forget. It was so amazing. That area was so beautiful. There were so many beautiful houses. Each house had a doggy.
K: The park that was there, it had a staircase close by. Since Surbhi said we couldn't, we didn't go through the park. She had said that we will go down the stairs and then we will run through the park. We went down the stairs and Surbhi ran off. I ran after her. Then she said that there would be more stairs ahead and we would use those to go up. But we couldnt find those stairs.
S: That second flight of stairs didn't even exist! I made a fool out of you Karan!
K: You did such an impossible thing by making a fool out of a Sardar! No offense! Singh is King baby!!!
S: No, Karan also knew that there were no second flight of stairs!
