What is a real TWIST?

I just saw SJ interview and her statement that QH team is successful in making ZOYAAN talk of the town, prompted me to create this thread to express my perspective on relative term called success.

Twist is created to capture viewers and increase TRPs, a Twist don't need to be positive all the time but one should be cautious about the fine line between negative and disgusting twist. If a twist is talk of the town for the sole reason that it crossed the fine line of negative twist and peeping towards the disgusting side then it will garner negative publicity and drives away viewers, therefore, SJ should realize that she can't call it as success.

A real twist is when viewers feels ' wow! I didn't think about it ...you got me...incredible' , such response is given to a twist that surpasses expectations of audience in a positive way. On contrary if viewers feels ' what the hell ...how can this be possible...bizarre', such response is given to a twist that is not well thought out twist or something falls below expectations of the viewers. Unfortunately, Zoyaan twist has become talk of the town for wrong reasons and it won't fetch any positive outcome for QH at least at this phase. It is very important that QH team realize this distinction and not pat themselves in self ignorance.

I agree!!What also disgusted me was that SJ was talking about having amazing chemistry between Zoya and Ayan in the future. Was this a hint she was throwing out? Is SJ really okay with this track? Remember when Tanveer left, both SJ and KSG showed their emotion on that track, now its like SJ is okay with this new twist. What about KSG-where are his interviews? So many unanswered questions, and then we get some ridiculous answer on how they have succeeded-I don' think so!

totally agreed! I made a similar post pointing out that CVs and actors, especially Surbhi in her interview, think the new twist is talk of the town and concluding it as a success. they seriously don't get this isn't the good talk of the town. the word spreading is not going to get people glued to the show. on the other hand, people coming to know of this twist are going to stay away from it disgusted and belittled by the events showed recently!
