art 4 - Understanding Miss Farooqui
The four of them went to the hall to pick up their schedules. Zoya and Purvi were talking to each other about the clubs they had at the school.
Purvi: You know I heard this school has a dancing and singing club. I plan to join. As you can see, you have the world's best dancer in front of you.
Zoya: Aha, world's best dancer. Seriously Pu?
Purvi: Oh come on gimme some credit. Atleast I can dance, Miss. two left feet.
Zoya: You callin me Miss. Two left feet. Now you sound like that jerk.
Purvi: What jerk?
Zoya: Arre, you know who Im talking about.
Purvi knows who it is but she just wants to tease her Zoya.
Purvi: Seriously yaar, I don't know who it is. Tell me.
Zoya: That Asad Ahmed Khan😡. Seriously even though he is hot and all but he is extremely emotionally challenged. I don't know how girls fall for him. He is so, uggg, despicable. Just because he has those good looks doesn't mean every girl will fall for him. I just want to hug him, Opsss that came out wrong, I mean I want to push him, uh came out wrong aswell. I just wanna. You know what doesn't matter. Why am I talking about him to you.
Purvi: You seem to talk about him a lot. I think he has made an impression on you.
Zoya: Seriously Purvi, How can you even think that?
Purvi: Well you did admit he is hot and good looking.
Zoya: I did not say that.When did I say that?
Purvi: You did and I quote "even though he is hot", "Just because he has those good looks"
Zoya: Fine I said it but he is still despicable.
Purvi:ME!!😆
Zoya: What?
Purvi: DESPICABLE ME! Ba nana na, Ba nanana.
Zoya: Seriously Pu? youre gonna make a joke now.
Purvi: What! Its a cool movie. The minions are soo cute.
Zoya: Fine, fine. Lets pick up our schedules.
Purvi: Fine, since when have you got so bossy.
Zoya: Since that DINGO came into my life.
Purvi: Achcha, fine before you explode ( mumbling )
Zoya: WHAT!
Purvi: Nothing.😆
They collected their schedules. By that time Purvi had joined the dancing, singing club and the netball club. Zoya had joined the gymnastics(Aerobics), football and netball club.
Zoya: Yay Purvi, We got into the most awesome clubs. I get to start gymnastics again.
Purvi: Ya Zoya, I got to join the clubs I wanted and you got to join the clubs that you wanted. Soo great na? We even have netball together.
Zoya: Yah, we have netball together. its gonne be so fun.
Asad and Arjun walked up to them.
Arjun: Now what are you two so happy about?
Zoya: We go to join the clubs we wanted.
Purvi: Yeah, I joined the dance and singing, and netball club whereas Zoya joined the gymnastics(Aerobics), football and netball club.
Asad: FOOTBALL!!
Zoya: Ha FOOTBALL! Allah Miyah, Im soo sorry.
Asad: For what?
Zoya: You being blind and deaf also. 😃
Asad: You...😡. I am not blind and deaf but you will be when you scream.
Zoya: Why would I scream.
Asad: I'm the football team's captain.
Zoya: WHAAATTT!
Asad: Told you, You'd become deaf.
Zoya: Just so you know, I am not quitting the team because of you. I am a great player and if I quit the team would suffer a great loss.😡
Asad: Aha, you great player. Who taught you.
Zoya: My Abbu.
Asad: Your Abbu must have been a fool then. To teach a girl like you to play footy. Seriously how did your parents cope raising you?
Zoya then became sad and ran to her room while crying.
Arjun: Asad, dude what did you do?
Asad: What? What I said is right.
Purvi: NO IT WAS NOT!!!😡(Shouted)😭
Arjun: Purvi, Purvi whats wrong?
Purvi: What's wrong is your friend here. Do you even know what you have done.!!!!
Asad: (getting worried) What, all I said was the truth.
Purvi: YOU DONT KNOW THE TRUTH. ZOYA IS AN ORPHAN!!! Her parents died in a fire when she was 6. She watched her parents burn right in front of her eyes. She watched them die damnit. She has got no one in this world. She was adopted by her cousin. Do you know how much pain she has gone through?😭
Something dawned on Asad. He had realized how his words must have hurt Zoya. He felt really guilty. He had a new feeling. Could it be care? Care towards Zoya?
Arjun: Purvi, don't cry. Please calm down. Zoya will be fine. Give her some time.
And this hotshot here better go apologise( Meaning asad)
It was soon becoming night. Everyone had returned to their rooms. Arjun and Purvi had taken their bathes and were now studying together and talking. Asad just came out of the bathroom after taking a cold shower. He then saw a figure out on the balcony. He recognized who it was. So he went and made some coffee and took a slice of pizza and put it on a plate. He went to the balcony.
Asad's POV
She was crying. She was shedding her tears because of me. I hurt her. He looked at her, she looked so beautiful. Her skin is like a mirror, its is glowing like the moonlight. Her hair swaying in the wind. She looked so Beautiful yet so hurt. A strand of her hair was falling on her face. I went and sat next to her and tucked that strand of hair behind her ear. She did not move. She just kept crying. I turned her head to face me and wiped the tears off her face. I shook my head slightly asking her not to cry.
Asad: I'm really sorry for what I said, I didn't know what happened to your...
Zoya: Its ok, no one know except Purvi, My aapi and jiju. I didn't like telling anyone about it because it just hurts me to badly. You know something, when I feel sad or lonely I come out and look at the stars. I feel like my mom is there looking at me and talking to me. Then reality hits me and I realize it was nothing. But at least it gives me some comfort.
Asad: My dad left my mom.
Zoya: What?
Asad: When I was 3, my father left my mother and married someone else. He left me with my pregnant mother. I had to work from a very young age. I started my construction company when I was 18. All I want to do is give all the luxuries I can to my mother and sister. For that I had to grow up and I never really had a childhood. I am running a company while I'm at college. Now I am one of India's most rich and famous businessman.
Zoya: Why are you telling me all this?
Asad: Because I trust you and you told me something tragic in your life so how can I not tell you something tragic in my life.
Zoya: I'm touched Mr. Khan.
Asad: Asad.
Zoya: What?
Asad: Call me Asad, none of this Mr and Mrs thing.
Zoya: Mrs?
Asad: I mean miss.😳
Zoya: Okay, ... Asad.
Zoya: That's better. Now you must say my name.
Asad: Why do I have to say Zoya, Zoya?
Zoya: 😃Yay, you did it. Anyway, what's that behind your back???😊
Asad: Uh nothing, just some coffee and pizza. I was gonna give it to you since you were sad but now I will have it.
Zoya: 😲 But why? I'm hungry. You were going to give it to me anyway. Please Asad. Please😔.
Asad: Fine.
With that he gave her the pizza and coffee. Zoya was enjoying eating the pizza. She had a wide smile on her face. Asad was admiring her face.
Asad: (thinking) She looks so cute when she is eating.
Asad: You know you are really beautiful.
Zoya: 😳 Thanks, no guy has ever said that to me.
Asad: Glad to be the first.
Scene changes to Arjun and Purvi.
Arjun: So that is how you work out the square route of 846.
Purvi: Told you it was easy.
Arjun: Easy for you, you are really smart.
Purvi: Not to mention beautiful.
Arjun: Yes that is one thing you are.
Purvi:😡 You think I am beautiful?
Arjun: Of course I do. Only a fool would think you are not beautiful.
Purvi: Thank you Arjun. You also are good looking.
Arjun: Well that I have heard a lot.
Purvi smacked Arjun on the shoulder.
Purvi: Well when I say it, it is special
Arjun: (mumbling) Yes you are special.
Purvi: What?
Arjun: Nothing.😳
Purvi: People seem to be mumbling a lot these days.😆
The scene changes to Zoya and Asad.
Zoya: I'm getting sleepy Asad, Lets go to bed.
Asad: I don't think that came out right.
Zoya: 😳I mean you sleep in your bed, and I sleep in mine.
Asad: That seems right.
Zoya: That is what I meant in the first place.
Asad: (teasing mode) Oh really, you don't want to sleep with this (pointing to himself)
Zoya: Asad, what kind of girl do you think I am. 😡
I'm not the kind of girl who will randomly sleep with a guy.
Asad: Hey, hey calm down. I was joking.😆
Zoya: You better be joking.😡 Anyway I'm going to MY bed now. (stressing the MY)
Asad: Okay.
As Zoya was about to walk, lighting struck and Zoya got scared and hugged Asad straight away. They both looked into each others eyes. Mitwaa in the background. It was like time has stopped. It was just them in the world.
The scene changes to Arjun and Purvi when the lightning struck.
Arjun and Purvi were talking and studying, then suddenly then hears a "BOOM". The lights in the room went off and Purvi got scared. She tripped but Arjun caught her. She hugged him because she was scared.
Arjun: (concerned) Purvi, Purvi. Its okay, meh hu na. Don't worry.
Purvi: I know but I was shocked with the sound.
Arjun: Its just lightning.
Arjun then stared into Purvi's eyes. They were so beautiful. They had an eyelock. Purvi was still in Arjun's arms.
The scene changes to both the couples.
Arjun& Purvi, Asad&Zoya. Hugging eachother.
Another lightning strike brought them out of their trance. They realized what position they were in. All four of them straightened themselves out and went to bed.
