Making her Mine...
...........
part 1
...........
He had no idea what he was going to do. He knew he had invited deep trouble the day he took the decision, but he also knew that he had no other choice. Well... Almost no other choice.

He knew it wouldn't be too easy but he also did not pay heed, didn't take the whole situation and the consequences too seriously and now he was in a mess, in an argument with himself, fighting a dispute with no elucidating conclusion.
What would he do now? Why did this have to happen? Who was at fault? Was it just him? Or the circumstances..? Or maybe both... Somewhere deep down his mind did blame his family for a while, it was his family's continuous pressure which had somewhere caused him to take such a step, but he brushed the thought away just as soon as it came to him. No. Not again. Not anymore. He couldn't blame someone else again, especially his family for something that he had done or rather, wrecked. And now that he had it ruined, he was supposed to mend it. He was supposed to get everything back in place. His family, his Love. LOVE. He suddenly stopped in his tracks, he hadn't realized how fast he was parading through his room till he stopped when his thought finally landed on Love. He had to get his Love and his family back and he would do ANYTHING and it meant ANYTHING in the world to get them back.

He knew the family was still his, they'd be angry for a while, but of course they'd understand, forgive him like they always had. Or so he hoped... Just then there was a knock on his door and someone entered right after, before he had even answered. He had guessed who it would be, he didn't need to know no rocket science for that. It was someone he found solace in, comfort with, respect for and she was a thorough serendipity, an irrefutible blessing in the face of his sister-in-law, someone that he could let out his heart to, his bhabi, Laiba.

The almost no age difference, rather, her being a year and a half younger to him was definitely to an advantage, as it was easier for him to open up to her. He had found a friend in her even before she was married to his brother, Asher. Laiba was actually a trainee in the bank that Asad had most his accounts in, more like a family bank, wherein he'd had to go almost every other day. He had once come there to block one of his credit cards which were stolen, and that is the first time he'd met her. She was a soft spoken, helpful and genuine girl. Which very much, was his first impression of her when they had to interact. He found her to be very efficient, effective, informative as well as very affirmative in her job, and when they had opened another branch of their business in the city, she had suddenly come to his mind, and she was appointed as a permanent at the branch, where his brother and her had almost fallen in love, their mom Dilshaad guessed it as Laiba had become a regular at their place, and the little shy eye contact that her and his brother had had, had been enough for their mother to guess that there was pure love brewing between them and she knew that they wouldn't get a better daughter-in-law than Laiba. And boy was she right. As soon as Laiba got engaged to Asher, she had started taking their home as hers and it was such an appeasing site to see for the whole family, which comprised of Asad, Asher, Ayaan, Nikhat, Najma, their mother and stepfather, Rashid Ahmad Khan.

Rashid Ahmed Khan was a strict man with his own rules, he had married Dilshaad as per his father's wish even though Dilshaad was a divorcee. He had given his name to Asad & Asher, even though they wasn't his own blood, but he had never differentiated between Asad and the other children, and neither had the siblings ever differentiated. Asad was the backbone of the family, the eldest son, and he looked after and cared for his siblings more than any older brother would. Their father, Rashid had been away for a few months, returned for Asher's wedding, and then went back to manage the branch in Dubai. After about 6-7 months of their engagement, and serious illness of their mother, it was decided by their mother that Asher should get married, since he had found a good match, and Asad wasn't ready for marriage yet, Asher did not have a problem with marrying Laiba since they were in love, and so he did, and after hardly a couple of months, Dilshaad, their mother passed away. Even though their father had permanently shifted back to their place, This was the most difficult phase the brothers had ever ever witnessed, they were completely shattered. Completely broken, and how Laiba had mended the wreck, how she had bandaged their hearts was something only she knew and could do, the way she had brought the siblings and their mother back to life was commendable and they would always be ever so grateful to her for that. She was a blessing in disguise. He had full faith, if anyone, it was her who'd understand him the most in times of joy and crisis.

She slowly entered his room and moved closer to him, all the while staring intently into his eyes, trying to decipher something. He knew that look and he knew he didn't like it much. Asad always liked to be in total control of himself and his surroundings, he had this leadership quality and he didn't like being unfolded, he only was okay with people knowing what he told them and did not like it when someone analyzed and understood him too well. He thought if people saw his inner self, his real self, he would appear weaker to them, he wouldn't appear strong and he had locked himself in a hard shell long back. Long back when his dad had died. Asher had handled the situation very maturely, but Asad had taken a very wrong effect of it. And in order to be apparently strong, to appear strong to the other people, he took the way he found easier. Locked his real self inside, and wore a facade for the world, which was not him. Very very few people knew the real him, and one of them, was of course, Laiba, even though he had tried hard not to let her know completely who he really was, but Alas! No one could change the fact that she knew him best in the house.

Asad thought being rude, arrogant, aggressive, strong, aloof and pompous would help him hide his real self from the world, it would help him get over the pain really fast. Along with all this, he was scared. He was very very scared of him turning out to be like his dad. It was like his biggest fear. What his dad had done was hideous. Disgusting. He did not like remembering he had a dad. And at the moment, the worst part was, Bhabi knew it all. She knew it ALL. She knew what torment he was going through, the conflict that was going on between himself within himself, and this was a very cumbersome, kind of a very uncomfortable situation for him.

"You don't mind me coming in." She was asking a question but it seemed more like a statement. It almost sounded like a statement, but the bobbing up of her eyebrow clearly told him it was a question. He looked down, showing the disappointment with himself and said "Bhaabi, you know you're the only one who doesn't really need to ask me before entering my room..."
"...and Zoya" she completed just as soon as he was done speaking. He looked her in the eye hearing Zoya's name. It brought back a bunch of emotions. Love, respect, sadness, disappointment and anger. Anger at himself. 'Yes, and Zoya' he thought. How could he let this happen? How could he let her go?
"Asad?" Laiba called out, reminding him of her presence in the room. "Yes bhabi" he said. He was back to looking down. Laiba had never seen him so defeated, so helpless, so disappointed from after his mother's death. She did not like the look of it.

"You know that you haven't only disappointed your mother up there, but all of us, right?" What was the need for this?" Did he even have an answer for that? Perhaps no, but at that moment, it felt right but now he could do nothing about this. At all.
"Bhabi, believe me, I don't have an answer to any questions you ask me right now. Not now, not today. I really need time for myself"
"I very well know you need time for yourself but you have to realize that this can not go on forever. If you think that you can do anything and get away with it, you're wrong, because we are your family and you HAVE to discuss everything with us, you HAVE to provide us with answers, you HAVE to get involved. This is not a choice, Asad, this is an imperative. You are part of a family, and WE are part of your family, you have a few obligations towards us and you need to understand that. Everyone in the house on one side, I, on a personal front am very disappointed in you, Asad!, not just because of the horrendous lie that you fooled all of us with, but because of the pain, agony and torment that you put that poor girl through. I saw it Asad, i saw it in her eyes." He shut his eyes tight at the last words, at the mention of 'her'. What had he gotten himself into.

He knew it wasn't easy, not like he'd just go downstairs, say sorry to everyone, then go to her, say sorry to her and bring her back that it'd make everything okay. It wouldn't. It wasn't that easy

"Now, i want you downstairs at the dinner table"
"I'm not hungry"
"Don't let the food get cold there, Asad. Downstairs, dinner table, now, please."
She said the last four words in one breath, at a very low volume, her voice sounding tired. He hated the sound distress in his Bhabi's voice. He slowly got up after she left, and headed downstairs.

So yes, this is the first part, do tell me how you like it. I know, it might be confusing in the beginning, but you will get the hang of it with time! :) ive added Asad's brother and Bhabi here, which are not part of the Show QUBOOL HAI, ZEE TV.

Here is what they look like:
(Laiba, Asad's Bhabi)
