2. yes yes dii, Asad craves for his dad he was very attached to him, cause remember the Lion mask scene? It said, 5yr old Asad yelled from the stage complaining to his Abbu that he was the ONLY Lion And he always goes to his Father, no matter how much he hates him, he ends up going to him when no one can comfort him, rain sequence - dilu shootout.

Great point and I agree with you! But i also feel that this time Asad felt guilty. He felt he was wrong and had wronged NIkhat and Ayaan. Asad is a man of principles and like he said he would not want to set up Najma's marriage at the cost of Nikhat's sadness. So he wanted to set things right. That is what Asad does. However, in the past when Ayaan was wrong Asad did not side with him. During the Gudiya factory days and then when Ayaan burned the car. He did not support Ayaan then or go running to apologize to him or clarify things. Because Asad knew that no matter how much he loves Ayaan if he is wrong he is wrong. In this case Asad felt he was wrong and Ayaan was right because Asad is selfless.

In the future, I think if Ayaan is ever supporting the wrong side. For example, if Zoya's mother's truth comes out and Asad wants Rashid punished and Ayaan sides with Rashid I don't think Asad will go to Ayaan and make up for things then. Asad is going to stick to principle and what is right! If Ayaan forces Asad to choose between him and Zoya I am positive Asad will choose Zoya.

But i do agree that his relationship with Ayaan is due to his longing for his father. Some where deep down that is his only connection with him.

And that is why when Asad has to be against Rashid (Zoya's mothers truth)-Asad will no longer side with Ayaan IMO!!

I totally agree with you on this one. Indeed, if Asad had not cared for Ayaan, he would never ever come to him and talk to him. Ayaan means way too much for him, he loves him no matter what. He can't see anger in Ayaan's eyes for him. Therefore, for that love and concern, he came to sort out things. His mind would not be in peace otherwise.

I must say that the CV's are doing a great job by showing the differences in characters: older bhai/younger bhai, older sister/younger sister.

Mr. Khan, your siblings should be proud to have a bhaijaan like you.

yes I remember very clearly that look Asad gave when Rashid and Ayaan hugged each other right in front of him ... his expression looked like he was thinking many things all at once... it looked like a mixture of disgust (why are you crying over my mother when you were the one who cheated on her and left) and to a certain extent it looked like he was jealous; looked like he wish he had a father to hug like Ayaan does.

Nice post Sangeeta Di.

I have no complaints about Asad. Maintaining relationships he values are very important to him. But, Ayaan is too spoilt. Today Rashid and Badi Bi gave in to his requests and if not for Nikhat's intervention, Asad would have also. The day will soon come when Ayaan will have to grow up.
