Ok I am going to explain this one last time - please read the entire post in context. I very clearly mentioned that nobody tells a child that meaning that nobody SHOULD. Please learn not to take things so literally. Had you read the entire post you would not have misunderstood.

I never said you misbehaved nor do I believe you need to apologize to me. I am not offended. But it would be helpful if you actually read what was being said before you jumped to a conclusion.

And it reminded me of my bengali teacher of my ex-school whom i was really close to... And i had a smile chipkaoed on my face throughout the scene! And your description of the scene made it all the more beautiful! Thank you!

Thank you, Noddy.😳...I think we all thought of our school and teachers today after Asad's trip down the memory lane.😆...Zoe answered the teacher's question to Asad. That's beautiful.😃

i get the point now why you are getting so angered 😆

Buti feel he was angry, hence he proved himself to be such a successful insan and went on to show her ki see you said i wont have anybody but today I have the SUNSHINE with me, for forever and ages and lives to come 😊

Lol Ankie! 🤗

I am sure he turned it into something positive...still doesn't make the teacher right. That's all I am saying.

School is a second home to a child, and i agree some teachers go really too overboard, but they are teachers at the end of the day, you are what now all cause of them.

And as far as i know, The teacher saying 'Proving the teacher wrong is the biggest of all compliments' proves he had COME to PROVE her which she had not expected. He didn't remember her fondly 😆

There is a difference between scolding a child and making a personal remark about a child. To say that a child will never find love or marry is a very unnecessary statement.

Asad should never have had to prove his personal life to a teacher. If she had called him an idiot and said he would never be successful and he had come back with his company and barrels of money to show for his name that would have been different. But what was said to Asad was akin to a teacher telling a child that you are not pretty so no one will marry you (for girls).

@red - I'll take your interpretation 😛😆

However, I am perhaps one of those strange people who look for logic. (What, in an Indian soap? Am I Nuts?!!!).
10 years old is too young for comments by teachers about finding or not finding life-partners.
It is not an age to form any such deep impact on memories, other than momentous occasions or incidents.
One could argue that for Mr. Khan this was a momentous incident, but again, he would have been too young to think about his own wedding/bride, etc.
At that time all the fiasco with his parents was taking place, and would have had - and did! - a much deeper impact.

I am not too far from my own10 year-old self, and I can say that at no time were the opposite-sex on my mind in any shape or form except as play mates; and teachers certainly did not comment on a child's serious demeanor and behavior with predictions of future mate or lack thereof.

However, as I mentioned before, your interpretation certainly puts a very romantic, and thought-provoking lens on the scene, as I am sure the PH intended.

Jayne

Thank you, Jayne . I understand and accept where you are coming from - but then, even one sentence get a 100 POVs. Yes, Asad was too young to understand anything about the opposite gender, marriage ... but old enough to understand that what it would be like to be 'unaccepted'. His parents had fallen apart and when his teacher said something like that so casually, it may have registered in his mind that he too will be left alone. 😃... just thinking about it minus the sexuality or the opposite gender angle. It was more about a non-existent emotional rejection, i think.

Beautiful scene indeed! I have been spending so much time in the past 3 / 4 years (rather wasting my time) watching various hindi serials, but today, felt my 20 mins of time is spent worthwhile, watching this scene today.

Hey Delena...saw an interesting discussion so couldn't help myself from adding to it...The way I see that scene, it wasn't intended to be cute at all...it was meant to be emotional, to show the not so normal childhood of Asad Ahmed Khan...and of how he took things to heart...as far as the teacher is concerned, she wasn't glorified for saying what she did and that was the good part...and teachers sometimes not only make remarks on a student, they do get personal...when I was in school, a teacher..mind u a teacher, name-called a student in front of the whole class on her being a little on the heavier side and not fair looking, and that too on a completely different issue...and we were in grade 5 back then...the scene did not intend to pass on the cuteness of Asad and Zoya...it meant to show how wrecked and vulnerable this man is...and the woman standing next to him, I feel this way; I don't know about others, still is to realize how fortunate she is to have someone like him...The teacher said thank u to Zoya...that struck me the most..sometimes a teacher says something and regrets it lest her words come true for her student...Zoya made sure that her words didn't come true and Asad came to her to let her know that he had indeed found happiness in love...now she doesn't have that regret on her heart any more😊
