Still catching up on the old posts...read your views about Surbhi..hug..romantic scenes..etc

Okay..I see bheegi's point of view but honestly..I really think it's Surbhi and not Zoya.. We all love Surbhi so I am not trying to bash her or anything..She's one of the best actresses around..no wonder she's loved by so many people including me... and so famous in very less time! But just an honest opinion, (Okay..just to clarify..I am ONLY talking about romantic scenes here!) Karan goes all out in the scenes, but there is just this tiny bit of lack from Surbhi's side and it becomes more evident probably because she's working with KSG who is arguably one of the finest when it comes to romance...Surbhi probably even feels that pressure sometimes? She does bring up him being a super star a lot..so maybe there's a sense of intimidation (unintentional) when they are doing a romantic moment?

Sometimes her romantic dialogs just come out of her mouth..and gone..without leaving any impact..they are forgetful..but if Karan say the same line, we all would feel it! Am I making sense?
I know that comparison with Karan isn't justified because he is much experienced but I can only give Karan's example because I only watch either him or SRK..so not many options to choose from! :P

Didn't like the Mahasangam hug..liked it only because of Karan..he gives the best hugs..Surbhi making her big eyes even more big was not exactly how I would have liked to see her reaction of the hug!

LOVED Surbhi in Teri Meri (part 1, 2) and Bol Na Halke Halke..I know that she can pull it off..she was great in these romantic moments which I have mentioned..I definitely don't doubt her talent...but I wish her every romantic moment would leave us loving her more...
O and she was fantastic on Jashan-e-sughat..her romantic scene where her duppata gets stuck..the scene felt "complete"--I felt "AsYa" instead of feeling Asad only!

I did like the first hug..Surbhi was great..but that was an emotional one..I just wanna be WOWED by Surbhi in a romantic scene just like Karan's words..romantic dialogs, expressions, body language, romance in the eyes just leave us speechless!

The recent one..I shouldn't be talking about it just yet since the actual episode hasn't been aired but just to give you an idea of what I am talking about.. The part where AsYa are on the Chaand in the song..Karan is getting all romantic..touching her face..and Zoya should look at least a little bit of intoxicated..pyar ka nasha..lost in his eyes...closing her eyes..you know..all that jazz..but Surbhi just had this faint smile..I could be wrong, this all may just be a part of the character like Bheegi mentioned..but I personally feel it's Surbhi...But like I said, I could be wrong.. Maybe we just need to wait and watch how Surbhi gets better and better with more romance involved in the scenes!!!

Ladies, don't get upset..you know that I am not one of those people who would speak against someone just for the heck of it..but since we were kinda touching this subject, just felt like giving my views! Hope y'all don't mind!!!

I love Zoya and yes, Surbhi is the best as Zoya..and hopefully Surbhi proves me wrong and we get great romantic scenes just like Surbhi's perfect slip and fall mitwa moments! :)

I understand your POV Honey and there is nothing wrong with what you are saying. This isn't bashing of course. SJ is relatively new as compared to Karan and I think she's improved a lot since the beginning. Initially, I used to find her a bit OTT but now she isn't. And she is really good in emotional scenes but honestly, I think its not AsYa about these days. Its more to do with the script. We all know its a family saga but still there isn't much focus on AsYa these days. Even the hug is more caring rather than a passionate one.

And I think the chand raat and all, it was meant to be shown that way. Like I told Devika, that Zoya holds back. She is still hesitant. And unless her abbu issues are resolved, she won't be able to get close to Asad physically. So far, we have seen Asad's growth. I think with Gaffur's track, we'll see Zoya's growth.

Yes, Shreya..you are probably right...maybe I am just giving too much thought to Surbhi-Zoya deal.. (I did read your earlier post too on this subject).and I have said it before that I could be wrong..! And I hope that I am wrong and it's not a Surbhi deal but the demand of her character! So yes, hopefully you and Bheegi are right on! :)

Also, I think that they are giving more focus to other tracks so less focus on AsYa these days. But I hope today is good. I want to see some romance between them before Gaffur reveal happens.

Haan! You are right! So many other characters around..all great actors..they gotta show their story too but I just want a crazy good chunk of AsYa.. BAS (Niki style) 😛
