Just a heads up, it's a purely Raabart-Mona OS not Zoyaan! A friendship day treat to all my buddies and seriously I love and miss Raabart mona scenes!
Tu hi toh mera dost hai!
"Monaaa! Mona dar- I mean Mona bhabhi!" Ayaan corrected himself just in time and saved himself a whack on his head for calling his bhaijaan's darling as his! He giggled at his bhaijaan's possessiveness. Who knew he would be able to see this side of his bhaijaan.
"Raabart I'm ready. Chale?" Zoya walked in the living room wearing her faded old blue jeans and a pink top.
"Zoya, do you really have to go?" Asad asked her for the hundredth time. He didn't want to stop her from spending time with her best friend but he didn't even want to sit alone at home without the company of his sweet wife.
"Mr Khan it's friendship day and I really want to go. I miss my friends in NY and Raabart is my only friend here." She pulled out her best puppy dog face and Asad couldn't argue anymore. He held his hands up and walked behind.
"Yeah now I know who has the upper hand in this relationship ." Ayaan snickered. He placed his hand over Zoya's shoulder ignoring the murderous glares from Asad and walked towards the door.
"Let's go Mona, this friendship day is gonna be fun." He squealed.
"Stop behaving like a pansy." Zoya chided. Asad smiled softly looking at their friendship and he wished he had a friendship like theirs.
oOo
"Raabart I'm gonna drive." She grinned from ear to ear. Ayaan's eyes went wide as saucers. He clutched the keys of his baby tightly in his arms and took a stance ready to run away if Zoya tried to pick up a fight with him.
"Hell to the no. It's my baby."
"Ayaan please! Today is friendship day and you haven't even given me any gift so consider this as my gift."
Ayaan looked at his bike then at Zoya and then recalled the number of times he had heard from his bhaijaan about Zoya and the obsession she had with trouble. He immediately went to hug his bike. Zoya narrowed her eyes at him and raised her hand, palm up. She gestured for him to give his keys but Ayaan didn't budge an inch.
"Ayaan I've rode bikes in New york before I'm awesome at it. Trust me you "baby" is in safe hands." She showed her hands to him with a wicked gleam in her eyes. Ayaan knew Zoya was not to be trusted yet he threw the keys at her. He couldn't say no to his best friend now can he? He remembered how even Humaira used to emotionally blackmail him to get things done her way and he always obliged, of course not after getting into a huge argument with her. Zoya jumped in glee and ran towards Ayaan's bike. She pushed the keys in the ignition and she wasn't able to wipe that goofy grin off her face. Ayaan sent a prayer to save himself from the horror. Zoya gave him 'the look' although that wasn't as scary as it used to be, blame the huge smile on her face. He went and sat behind Zoya.
"Not a scratch on my baby."
"Aye, aye boss. And oh, you better hold on tight Raabart." She winked at him and retracted the kickstand with her foot.
"What do you mean?"
He didn't have to wait much for the answer as Zoya pulled the throttle and the bike accelerated and zoomed forward with a speed.
oOo
Ayaan was sitting quietly on the back seat, clutching his bike tightly. His face was pale and looked with a horrified expression as they zoomed past the other vehicles.
"Zoya slowdown will ya?" he pleaded.
"Oh c'mon Raabar it's so fun. I feel like I'm flying, woohoo." She raised her one hand in the air. Ayaan brought her hand on the handle again.
"Zoya I haven't even been married yet."
"Yeah, as if I have been married for a hundred years. Quit being so whiny." To tease Ayaan a little more Zoya pretended to have lost balance of the bike and the bike wavered on the road. Ayaan felt like he could get a heart attack any minute. He quickly got hold of the handle to steady the bike, that's when he heard Zoya laugh. He narrowed his eyes and smacked her shoulder lightly.
"I hate you."
"Aw, don't worry the feeling is mutual." And she again burst into a new fit of laughter.
"I didn't find anything funny."
"You are right, it wasn't funny. It was freaking hilarious." She laughed remembering his shocked face. Oh she was going to tease him all her life.
"Well glad you are enjoying the day." He grinned.
"I'm more of enjoying your funny exaggerated expressions. Who knew my best friend was such a drama queen." Ayaan felt his smile stretch further when he heard the word "best friend" coming out of Mona's mouth. He was so glad to have a friend like her, considering his old best friend was soon going to be his wife he really needed a new best friend.
As they were driving a group of boys on a bike came near them. One of them looked at Zoya and whistled. Ayaan straightened up and was about to reply back but when he saw two more bikes coming towards them he knew he was nothing in front of their group. Zoya simply rolled her eyes and increased the speed. She could hear more hooting. She smirked and looked at Ayaan.
"You up for a game buddy?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. If anything happens to my baby I will kill you myself."
"Wow, thanks for the concern." She pulled at the throttle with a twist and changed the gear. The bike's speed was increased and Ayaan was bumped into Zoya due to the sudden change in the speed.
"Zoya forgiveness is divine, forgive that son of a-"
"No, no Raabart they want to race so we'll race." She laughed. Ayaan looked around and saw the trees go behind them, everything looked so blurry and he wondered how Zoya was able to drive. He saw the excitement in Zoya's eyes. she knew what she was doing and so he relaxed a bit, only a bit. He still feared she might crash into a tree and then they'll race in heaven. He looked behind him and saw them approaching them, but even then they were far.
Everything was going smoothly until Zoya took an unexpected turn into a road he had never seen before. The road was full of potholes and bumps and he felt like he was sitting on a roller coaster. The other bikers were far from them and so they didn't see the turn that she took and carried on ahead. Zoya shouted in joy and so did he. He had to admit, it was fun, the adrenaline rush was astounding. It was mind-boggling and he felt like he was dreaming.
He didn't know how long they drove but they soon entered a market.
"How do you know the roads so well." He asked.
"I don't!" she giggled.
"What? You mean you have no idea where we are."
"Nope!" she grinned and stopped the bike. Ayaan got down and looked at the busy market place. There was a lot of hustling and bustling with people roaming around, some women bargaining loudly with the shopkeepers. Zoya parked the bike and moved ahead to take a look of the place they were in.
"Monaaa, tumhe Bhopal ki sabse lazeez jalebi khani hai?" Ayaan smirked.
"Kahan?"
Ayaan pointed at a stall selling jalebis, the stall's board read "Bhopal ki sabse lazeez jalebi yahaan milti hai." Zoya looked at Ayaan and burst out laughing.
"Well it's your treat."
Ayaan patted his pockets with a confused look.
"Yeah you suck at acting now let's go." She pulled him towards the stall and ordered for lots of jalebis with rabdi. When the person handed her the plate she gobbled up the jalebi one by one. It truly was Bhopal ki sabse lazeez jalebi.
"Mona moti sari jalebi khud khayegi kya? Yeh shop tujhe maine dikhayi." He grabbed a jalebi from the plate and stuffed it in his mouth.
"Mashallah." He moaned.
"Yeah are you done orgasming over a jalebi." Zoya chuckled.
"Yuck." He stuck his tongue out.
"Ayaan I want to play that game." She pointed at a stall that had that target game.
"Mona, pehle pet pooja phir kaam duja." He rubbed his stomach.
"Raabart look pani puri."
"No Mona look falooda." He pointed at a stall opposite to the chat stand. Both looked at each and squealed and ran toward the shop. They had a pani-puri eating competition and Ayaan won of course, being the hog that he is. They then went toward the falooda stall and had delicious falooda with kulfi. After they were done they played the target game but after several tries when they couldn't win any single thing on display they got frustrated and walked away from there saying the shopkeeper was a thug and had probably glued the gifts to keep them from falling.
Ayaan took them toward their bike, he opened the trunk and took out a packet from inside.
"Here, your friendship day gift."
Zoya snatched the gift from him and tore the wrapping paper, throwing them all around.
"Hey I spent 15 minutes in covering it, show some respect."
Zoya ignored him and continued tearing the paper. She saw a rectangular thin box, she opened it and took out the content. It was a photo frame, it had their photo from the holi party with the words "Best Friends Forever" written below and cute friendship quotes above. Zoya aww'd and took out the friendship band out of her pocket.
"I know it's too cliched but hey, my bracelet is really cool you know."
It was a brown leather band with two buttons for adjustment and a blue stone in the middle. Ayaan lifted his hand up for Zoya to tie the band.
"Bhaiya mere rakhi ke bandhan ko nibhana." Zoya teased him and burst into laughter.
Ayaan admired the band and promised to never remove it. He then took out the bracelet that he had got for Zoya. It was bracelet with various charms and the letters F-R-I-E-N-D hanging like charms. Zoya wriggled her hand and the charms tinkled against each other.
"Let's go home, I can't ignore the constant vibration of my mobile, I'm sure it's bhaijaan. This time I'm driving." He took the keys from her and sat on the bike. Zoya went to sit behind him and warned him,
"Don't you dare tell Mr Khan about the race or else I'll have you for dinner." she threatened.
"Dinner? Even after eating so much you are still hungry? And then you call me a hog! Unbelievable!" he teased her for which she whacked him on his head.
"Drive carefully, I don't want to die." She changed the subject.
"Look who's talking." He chuckled and started the bike. The journey back home was noisy with Zoya's constant chatter and Ayaan and Zoya's nonsensical shayaris.
Once they reached home they saw Asad standing on the porch waiting for them. Zoya ran to him and waved goodbye to Ayaan. She missed him the entire day and they went inside with Zoya filling him in with the details, sans the exciting bike ride. Asad was happy to see their bond but he had had enough of her talk, he took her to their room and made sure her mouth was used for some other work.
The End 🤣
A/N ' Again, it's a RAABART-MONA OS and not Zoyaan! It's just an OS on their friendship! I know I know it's crap, my shoe size is 7 (yes I know I have very small feet 😳). Feedbacks please!
Happy friendship day once again!
Love,
Sadie!😃
