Zoya was tested today, by her Allah Miyan...
She had to choose between a dream she has had from her childhood and abandoning it to being just a dream, forever. And she was perplexed. This is the first time she has been asked to choose her Abbu over any one else...the thought had never even occurred to her prior to this. How do you choose between a father you have yearned for so long and a love so new, she had almost given up on it? So she stalled. This was a decision she needed to think over...her happiness which was so close at hand...Tanveer knows about her Abbu more than any one else she has met in her search so far...when she is so close to her goal???
Yes, she had shouted...main apni mohabbat ke liye kuchh bhi kar sakti hoon...KUCHH BHI, ZOYA?- ASKS, ALLAH MIYAN...and she is lost. So her God leads her..shows her the way, in the form of a pious woman, who is closer to God now in this month of Ramzan- her faith strengthened. She tells her a story...of a man who had been in a similar dilemma- where there was not even a matter of abandoning the TRUTH for what he considered precious. Yet he chose, the way God wanted him to- loved one was given up to the Almighty, The Righteous One. Her mind is clear now, her happiness does not take precedence over the triumph of good over evil.
IT WAS A TEST- She lost and won.👏
She failed in the TEST OF LOVE😳, and REDEEMED HERSELF IN THE TEST OF FAITH.👏
It was actually shocking that Zoya was in a dilemma here- I never thought she'd hesitate when it came to proving Asad's innocence-Zoya proved she was human...very human. She was tempted- and she could not decide..she had to stall, weigh the pros and cons...😒
I guess I did not realise or remember how precious the concept of father is to her...kahan hai aap, Abbu? It is the pull she had ever since her childhood- a man she did not know, yet could not forget. An invisible bond that ties them together, that has to be sorted out- something even her beloved Aapi does not understand.
Precap: Zoya is praying as Tanveer plans to burn her. Is she aware of the danger around her? The scene reminded me of something I read or heard long time back...a Muslim does not rise from his prayer mat, no matter what happens until he finishes his prayer.
Also remembered someone was killed during his prayers...
Checked it out:😉

Muhammad Bin Sam better known as Shahab-ud-Din Muhammad Ghori was a Afghan conqueror from the region of Ghor in Afghanistan. Before 1160, the Ghaznavid Empire covered an area running from central Afghanistan east to the Punjab, with capitals at Ghazni on the banks of Ghazni river in present-day Afghanistan, and at Lahore in present-day Pakistan... On his way back to Ghazni, his caravan rested at Damik near Sohawa (which is near the city of Jhelum in the Punjabprovince of modern-day Pakistan). He was assassinated on 15 March 1206, while offering his evening prayers.
👏Wah, Gul! Aap ka imagination ka main kya boloon? Aur kya kya yaad dilati hai!🤣
(Also wanted to point out that the story is different according to the Christian/ Jew faith- Abraham is asked to sacrifice his most preferred son, Issac,(Ishmael according to Islam) on the mount. This is one of the major points where the sister faiths start digressing.😳 Purely, for info, not to start any kind of religious debate, please.😉)
