I AGREE. I was talking to one of my friends today and we came to the same conclusion that Asad is one of the most layered characters, and the reasoning of his every action, well almost every is connected with various aspects of the story. Asad is a man of honor, someone whose been running away from the shadows of the man he does not want to become like. Today he was entirely disgusted with himself, hated himself for ruining that womans life who loved him so much that in his eyes she has walked back into his life without an explanation. He does not have it in him to look into her eyes, does not have it in him to face himself forget her. What explanation would he give to her when he had nothing to tell himself. He had to make her hate her, because like he said, he does that to everyone who mean important to him, which is what he feared before he fell in love with Zoya in the first place.

i just do agree with u.. he is most layered character in the telly world.. as fans we may want him to marry zoya but if he had done that then it would have been the perfect assassination of his character... a man like him who believes in tehzeeb and tameez and all the traditions cant leave a woman who claims to be mother of his baby all alone herself and marry the one who loves him...

Please do not hate me or bash me because i really loved today's episode unlike most of the forumwaasis...and also do not misunderstand this as a bashing post or a defending post...IMO AAK is one of the most layered heroes on Indian TV..hats off CVs...so u all can safely term it as a CV appreciation post..!!!

A lot of people think Asad is dumb...for me...he is real...as real as a fictional character can get...he is not black...he is not white...he is grey...and a 100 bloody shades of it...!!!

I was expecting him to not speak the truth..he did not disappoint me...know why?? Asad Ahmed Khan is an emotionally insecure person who does not want to depart from the woman he loves with her knowing the 'so called truth' of his infidelity...rude shock for those who look for the ideal hero...for me Asad is truly kickass in terms of character development...

With a past like his...add to it his judgemental demeanor and his misplaced sense of self righteousness and his being a man (coz men are already emotional wrecks...he is a magnified version of it)...he cannot do anything better...he never faced his feelings till he was pushed to the limit..he never will face his mistake that lessens him in the eyes of the ones he loves...a true replica of his father...that is the reason he goes to Rashid...at this point of time..sirf Rashid hi hai jo usse jyaada gira hua hai, in his opinion...😆

P.S: I loved the epi more...because no more secrets lie with billo...all her cards are out in the open...her game is well over!!!

I agree with all that. He might be layered. After a month in hell, it isn't easy to recover and think clearly.
My issue with him is that he didn't explain. Zoya definitely deserves to know the whole truth. She has forgiven him and has accepted him back. He even told her he loved her and asked her to come back into his life. She really deserves more than "I'm gonna marry Tanveer".
What about Dilshad and Najma? The truth has to come out later anyways so he can't tell that now?

and the way tanveer played her pregnancy card stating all the dailogues that her fate always played games with her and bla bla blah what can any man in that position do?? especially a person who has faced a life without father and was blamed to be illegitimate child all his childhood..

so i just pity with his character and wish that something should strike him and make him go find the truth for himself so that he can protect his love and get her back...

Ur ps really made me more happy as Billi has no more secrets with her and cant play any more games and will face her end now.. she is on the top branch of the tree and started cutting the branch on which she sat by blackmailing zoya so she will fall down soon...

I absolutely agree with you. Its actually difficult to understand a character like Asad. There are so may layers to him. Honestly though for a moment I was like that why didn't he tell Zoya the truth. Why does he want to marry Tanveer but then later I realised that he could not have done so. He was so hurt, guilty and broken that he could not even meet her eyes while talking. He didn't want to hurt her by telling her this truth. That's why he chose to just hurt her by saying harsh things so that she leaves him and goes. Today Asad was like that he doesn't deserve Zoya's love.
