Unnecessary violence against the elderly

It was really painful to see a disabled Badi Bi trying futilely to get free. This un-ending violence against the elderly in QH is really appalling! Yes in the olden days, in movies, the villain's entry was accompanied by them hitting a child or kicking a dog. That was the shortcut to identifying an actor as a villain. Usually that kind of abuse stopped thereafter.
But this incessant violence against Badi Bi is really disturbing, distasteful and unnecessary. PH, we've got the message. Razia is a villain. She is a murderer. Psychopath most likely. She and Badi Bi are involved in a game of one-upmanship. But this could be played out with a little more finesse, not gross violence.
This PH seems to want to carve a niche for itself in portraying gut-churning cruelty against the elderly. It didn't turn a hair in showing appalling cruelty against the elderly in previous serials (Shyam vs Payal's dad in IPK, which left the latter seriously disabled till the end). And it continues its callous way in QH.
But really, I'd be hard put to find a viewer who enjoys this level of cruelty. Honestly, my reactions veer between wince, cringe or gag. Like me I'm sure many viewers have grandparents who watch this serial, and these scenes are really quite nasty and disturbing for them too.
PH, if you are reading, please tone down this gratuitous violence against the elderly. It is simply not needed.

Thanks for commenting. 😊
Makes me think that the PH has frustrated Tarantino-fans, aiming for QT's stylised hyperbole (which I also abhor), but restricted by Indian TV to bludgeoning us with these nasty depictions.

Agree with you.. even if they need to show this for the sake of the story, it should be toned down.. Lock up alone should have been ok but all that dragging of Badi Bi around and pulling her hair and almost strangling her to death, all that is not necessary.

It's all just too OTT. So far Razia has tried to drown Badi Bi, poison her, hang her, and now strangle her, and of course nobody in the family, not even Ghaffoor, so much as suspects. At one time Ayaan seemed to have an inkling, but that went nowhere. And what was that abt dragging Badi Bi around on roller skates - immediately reminded me of a dead body in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. Farcical, but still disturbing.

Well said. its highly disturbing and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. it makes me cringe everytime. it wouldve been different if she was the same age as Raziya's but she is the eldest in the house.

Thats what i have kept on yelling non stop in the forum. There is heights of violence in this serial. to begin with

gas cylinders to burn down a house
hanging an old lady upside down
putting a wire around her throat
acids

you name it QH should be given an award for using all the weapons in their serial.

Old people r for respect but RAzia is shown disgusting. 🤢

Exactly!! There's no comparison between their physical strength. What Razia's doing to Badi Bi is the equivalent of sustained child abuse, and just as objectionable.

So glad we are on the same page on all this excessive and pointless violence. The CVs would have been so much better occupied with developing their plots and characters. At least that would've given more satisfaction.

True that...not just against the elderly...there is a lot of unnecessary violence in QH...but I guess the PH has always been depicting such violence in their serials
